I have seen that photo a few times now. It doesn't surprise me that her family wasn't that thrilled over her decision to marry the old coot!

Neighbor Sharon Bychowski is speaking out. And how!
When investigators asked for a picture of Stacy, Drew said he didn't have one. Prior to the search warrant being served, Drew asked if he could park his car in her garage. She told him no, he could park it in her driveway.

I read an article that said they are going to exhume wife #3's body.
Let me find that link.

Yes, you know you are so right on! I was talking to a friend who has also been through DV, as I have. My friend and I consider ourselves strong women...but it hasn't been easy either. Neither of us had a back-up system of family. Financially, especially if you have small children it's a nightmare trying to work, and still live half way decent financially. In my case I have had to escape to a town where I knew no one. It's not as easy as you might imagine, to get away. The abusers know that they have you financially. A judge can set up maintenance payments and child support but enforcing it is another matter.
They shower you, in a lot of cases especially where the man is older, with cars, ect. to keep you around. When you try and get a way they refer to you as a money grabber. If you happen to get a judge who thinks he was taken advantage of financially FORGET IT.
I understand how folks just don't get it..why a woman would stay but there is much more to it then meets the eyes.
Somehow we, as concerned women, have to support these women better when they try to get away.

No truer words have been spoken. Almost every case of a murdered woman is her husband/SO/ Ex-SO saying something along similar lines. Some attest to the woman being suicidal or likely to run off with another, anything to take the focus off the relationship that the abuse is occurring in. And, of course, the true abuser and murderer.

I hope as these cases get discussed and national media spotlights them that more women will take control of their lives and get away from these men. These men are not going to change no matter what woman enters their life. For every woman in an abusive relationship there is extreme danger whether to life and limb or to be scarred with lost of self esteem for many years to come.

Drew and Stacey met when he was 49 and she was 17. Stacey is Drew's fourth wife. Drew's third wife was found dead in a dry bath. Her death was ruled "accidental". Police have now re-opened the investigation into her death and plan to exhume her body.

Thank you Absolut for posting the quote. I just read something I hadn't seen before:

Drew Peterson apparently had been married before. Apparently he had been married three times before. Apparently he was still married to Kathleen Savio when he met and began dating Stacy. And Kathleen’s relatives say that during the marriage Kathleen had received letters telling her that Drew Peterson was cheating on her. But when she confronted him about it, he allegedly beat her. One relative has stated they had to take her to the hospital afterone beating in the late ’90’s. But they say she was afraid to leave him. In 2002 Kathleen Savio filed for a protection order against Drew Peterson and in 2003, she filed for divorce after learning that Stacy was pregnant with Drew Peterson’s baby.

According to Stacy’s family Peterson
“was a very jealous, very controlling person,” “He followed her. He tracked her with GPS on her cell phone, called her constantly.”

That's so demeaning. To know you have no privacy, that your every move is being monitored. I bet she was probably starting to despise him. I also read he (and the kids) received about 2 million dollars from insurance policies and property from his 3rd wife's death. I wonder if he took out life insurance on Stacey.

Would be interesting to find out where Drew's phone pinged at when he answered the call from Stacey's sister that night. When he lied and said he was at home.

Nice...no picture of the missing wife handy. :loser:

It's interesting too that he might have wanted to hide his car for a while, eh? Hiding his face...hiding his car...he's hiding from someone!

Good catch, mysteriew.

I think he may of told her that he tracked her with her GPS on her cell phone but I doubt if he could of done that.
I used to work for one of the major cell phone companies as a supervisor. If someone just called and wanted to track someone we were not allowed to do it. The average employee didn't have that ability. One night a high level tech person showed me what screen to access to check the closest cell tower for the last call a customer made.
That tech was breaking protocol to do that. Could of been fired for it.
You need a court order and it has to be serious police business to give that information out.
There is just no way he could of called the cell phone company and found that info out on a daily basis.

The 9pm call he claims he got from Stacey should be able to be tracked. Location of her phone as well to his phone when he answered it. He can't be two places at once.

There have been several people I've read about (mostly men) found stalking/tracking their ex's with GPS. I wouldn't think it's that difficult finding something at some place like Radio Shack. Being in LE, he probably stole something or used their services somehow in tracking Stacy.

You can if you leave one phone someplace and go somewhere else and call it.
