According to posters at the family website, Fox News will be having a special report on the Stacy Peterson case at 9:00pm on January 15th with Craig Wall hosting. Posters say it may have something to do with a will.

I would imagine that 9:00pm is eastern time, so check the schedule for your area.

I am quite frankly, very surprised that anyone would think his story is worth telling UNLESS they think he will be indicted and convicted of one or both of the deaths of Kathleen and Stacy. In that case, having his life story in his words would make a movie about the killings more realistic. Honestly, that's the only thing I can come up with.

Reminds me of another person who wrote a book giving a detailed account about his exwife's murder as a hypothetical situation! We saw how that turned out for him.

However, DP is free to sell anything he can right now and he will. He certainly has no problem making money off his dead exwife or his missing wife (as we can surmise from his past history).

Will? Won't drew be out of luck as far as collecting life insurance, etc? After all, she's "still alive". She's "on vacation" - he told the police that. Oh well.

maligned by crimetainment denizens.

Just curious... but in what way has DrewP been maligned? DrewP has admitted being the last person to have seen Stacy, he has been named as a suspect in her disappearance and possible homicide, the case is now before a Grand Jury, and DrewP has allegedly lied about his whereabouts and actions on the date that Stacy went missing.

Did anyone catch that show?

What case? What crime?

Drew has not been charged with any crime.

The case in the disappearance of Stacy Peterson which LE has called a suspected homicide and named Drew Peterson the suspect. It is now before the Grand Jury. You know, the group of peers who reviews the evidence and try to determine if a crime has been committed and if there is enough evidence to go forward with a trial. Homicide is a crime.

The case of Kathleen Savio, which has not been formally named a homicide and no suspect has been formally named. But the case has never the less been brought before the Grand Jury.

I have to agree with Wudge. There is NO case and NO crime, YET.

Once LE gets their ducks in a row and CHARGES DP with a crime, then there's a crime that's been committed and the CASE will ensue.

Well there is a case..sorry to disagree but I bet it even has a title and case number. The FBI, ISP and assorted experts working on this would surely disagree. They would say they are working on a case of a missing person who they now believe could be a possible homicide victim. First the case was a missing persons case ..now it is missing person potential homicide case. They have named a suspect..Drew Peterson. They have opened a Gj to investigate this case.

If it weren't a case what do you call what they are doing?

They are investigating to see if there's going to be a case beyond 'missing person' as pertains to Stacy. They are investigating to see if there's going to be a case beyond 'accidental drowning' (or mysterious death) as pertains to Kathleen Savio. And if so (in either/both situations) then they're going to see if there's evidence to determine if they can make arrest/s.

I feel this case is fascinating because there ARE so many "if" factors and because it truly does look as 'if' Drew Peterson had something to do with both the disappearance of his current wife and possibly the death of his previous wife.

Was it the butler in the library with the candlestick?!

I am fascinated with the whole situation.
This is the first time I've ever followed (or posted about) a situation like this, although I admit I got sucked into the OJ thing back then. (It was difficult not to get sucked in, and I had cable television at the time and was glued to the trial.)
I have to admit that I"m interested in Stacy's disappearance because of all the ironic information provided to us by the media so far.... and because I'm in Chicago and it's "close to home."

My interest is strictly fascination (kinda like watching an intriguing 'who done it' film or television show.) That said, this is the reason I'm willing to wait for the plot (hard evidence) to unfold and for LE to make public their findings at the conclusion of the investigation.

It's like being on a 'murder mystery' train, to me. And that's ALL it is, to me.

Thanks for reading.

No case, no crime.

So you all think that Illinois just takes random items to the Grand Jury? Maybe Ill. prosecutors just say "hey, I am bored today" "let's supeona a whole lot of citizens and call the Grand Jury in" "Maybe we can find a crime and a case to attach to it." If that is so, I am glad I don't live in Illinois.

It is my understanding that the Grand Jury is called to review a "case" when there is suspicion of a "crime" being committed. The purpose being to determine if there is enough evidence present to take the "case" to trial.

LE has suspicions that a crime or crimes may have taken place. They are investigating those suspicions. If a Grand Jury decides there is probable cause to support a criminal indictment, then prosecutors can take their case to trial.

They're trying to build a case.

New evidence could mean Drew Peterson faces prosecution even if not found guilty of killing wife Stacy

You are absolutely correct. And, in being correct, the keyword in your statement is highlighted above. It's only an investigation thus far. It's not random. Whatever happened to Stacy Peterson is ....... being investigated. Period.

"Whoops! There goes the satellite!"
It must be a very slow news day for the network. There's nothing here that we've not heard before. It's all headline and no substance. More blather regarding speculative non-facts. (How do you spell r-a-t-i-n-g-s [which advertisers pay for?]) Ho hum.
