Isn't that a crazy system.Experts should be deciding these things, not random people of the street.

I suspect they have random people off the street making the decisions because otherwise the results would be too easy to fix as a favor to cronies.

Yes he did Suz, he said her hair was NOT soaked in blood when he found her. Then Geraldo said find me the report where it says that, Steve says well it is wrong. Do you have a copy of her autopsy report handy. I want to see if he is listed as the person who found her. I think it says that right? The family was strong about they had never heard of him before last night.

I am hearing so many different things on who was there and why they were there it's hard to keep straight.

Rumor Warning
Golfmom, still a rumor at this point but Greta is supposedly chasing down that the person who actually did Kathleen's autopsy is a cop himself in a small Illinois town and was fired for stalking his girlfriend.

WHOAAAAA!!!!! I googled the guy who's name was on the autopsy and he looked "legit" ... but this is off the hook.

LOL good point STEADFAST. There seems to be cronyism everytime Kathleen tried to file a DV charge against DP. Yet he was able to file 2 against her. Luckily they were dismissed once they got to court.:banghead:

It's just the normal career course here in IL for public officials to "retire" to prison. A former governor just entered one in Wisconsin and the news did a story on the other former officials he'd meet there. They also interviewed a number of former IL government officials who'd been released, to get an idea of what it's like in there.

SF, we had a whole battle in the Riley Fox forum regarding Illinois politics and procedures and how they impact LE. Very eye-opening ... especially since a lot of the names discussed are now being ... repeated ... repeated ... repeated ...

Just an interesting note, the forensic pathologist listed on KS's Autopsy had an address in BERWYN ... and my first thought was "well, that says it all"

And how many ME offices do autopsies on weekends and evenings?

And why isn't there an estimated TOD on the autopsy? There is only the pronounced TOD.

It is strange they didn't list etod on the autopsy, it is my understanding they always do that. I think it is very rare to autopsy someone on the weekend and even rarer to do so at night.

It isn't the least bit surprising to me that a police officer here could get away with killing his wife.

Here's a story, one of many stories about out of control cops in the Chicago area, concerning a gang of policemen who actually went around robbing and burglarizing:
http://cbs2chicago.com/topstories/Chicago.Police.corruption.2.333907.html

"Abusive Chicago police officers have been allowed to perpetuate abuse in Chicago with virtual absolute impunity," said Craig Futterman, a law professor at the University of Chicago. . .

"Even with these special operations group guys, they have 50 or more complaints. They were never disciplined, identified, or flagged in any way," Futterman said.

Futterman insists even the worst cops know there's little oversight.

"Officers with 11 or more complaints know with 99 percent certainty nothing will happen to them due to citizen abuse complaints," Futterman said.

Cline has implicitly admitted oversight has been lax in the past but says new systems are being tested to identify troubling patterns of conduct. "

Good to know they are testing "new systems" -- how about merely paying attention to complaints?

Wow that is just outrageous. I can't stand it when the cops are as bad if not worse than the criminals. Nothing ever seems to be done about it either.

Ahhhh the infamous Chicago SOS ... did you catch the video clip of them doing a full on millitary assault on a hispanic nightclub? The mafia could learn a thing or two from the Chicago PD

Or the one beating up that woman in a bar? People wondered why no one stepped in to help? Ask the people who are trying to help with Stacy's disappearance why, if you can find them hiding in hotel rooms under false names.

What did you find golfmom?

Does anyone see DP confessing? IMO he will maintain his stories until Stacey is found, then will continue his denials. I'm beginning to question if she WILL be found. How many hours did he have to hide her? Then, of course, he was a cop longer than Bobby Cutts and may know more about hiding a body.

Yes he said she took her bikini and 2o thousand in cash from a safe in their house.

He said bikini, some clothes, 25k cash from the safe, and the deed to he house....

I wonder if LE found this "safe" or the deed in one of their many searches. That would put the icing on the cake that he is a LIAR.

Steadfast, Isnt that the truth!

Golfmom, thanks for the link. I've been very interested in corruption in Chicago since Gov Ryan released all the DP cases. I can now understand that in light of all I'm hearing about the States Attorneys, PD and Coroner processes there. Unfortunately for Ryan, he had his own demons as well.

Does anyone know if there will be searches today?

According to our local news, Equusearch is taking the day off, but friends and family of Stacy Peterson ARE going out searching today.
