Then why in the world would they still let him have custody of the children?!?!? If he's THAT loose of a canon why are the kids still there and not at a family member's house?!?

Hey, I'm not the one who's letting him have the kids. If I was, they wouldn't be with him.

  • #322
Why do you find that strange? IMO, Drew is a guy that murdered his wife in the house next door to them. He's very pissed off that his real character has been exposed. And the other night he went on a rampage ranting at the media, chasing Sharon down, banging on her back door, then banging on her windows. Which resulted in LE telling her to get a hotel under an assumed name because they can't 100 percent guarantee her safety. Drew calls and harrases Ric during a taping of Greta's show. Leading Ric to go underground through CBS. I would be terrified too!

SCARE TACTICS.

I wouldn't be afraid of him AT ALL. He wouldn't be able to do anything if he tried. There are too many people watching his every move. :twocents:

DP has been acting like he is out of control lately. He possibly is feeling like he has nothing to lose since he is being accused of not one, but two murders. So yeah, I think they have reason to be afraid. Esp. if he still has cop buddies defending him.

Exactly.

I think he's using them as a shield ... just like another missing case in Will County. :(

There are so many people who don't care what people see them do. He definitely seems to be in that stage. You're lucky you don't have to worry about him anyway. :twocents:

If DP is so worried about media terrorizing his children, they why the hell hasn't he dropped them off at another family member's home to prevent them from being exposed to all of this? If he's so worried....... total B.S. IMHO.

I worry about the safety of the kids as well. And for anyone who comes in contact with him. The guy is coming unglued. We've seen time and time again what happens when control freaks can no longer control. They commit suicide. That's there last controlling act. And sometimes they take others with them. If I was the media camping out front. I'd be very wary of walking around without a bullet proof vest. This guy is a ticking timebomb.

I know. I'm not jumping on you or anything. LOL My whole point is, why isn't LE or someone stepping in and grabbing these kids?

If he's now a suspect in BOTH cases, why are they allowing him to continue to have custody?

And why isn't DP looking out for the best interest of his children, which IMHO would be keeping them away from the media, especially if the media is "terrorizing" them. Dropping them off at a relatives house would be IMO a much better situation for them.

I drove around Bolingbrook yesterday with my kids (Was going to go to Ikea but the kids were beastly yesterday, lol, so I thought better of it) and it felt very spooky.

It seemed as if everything was just going in slow motion and that there was this strange sense of doom. Hard to put into words.

Dee the only thing i can say is there are a lot of Why's going on right now. IMO they all should be very scared of him. I agree with suz comments on this 100 percent. Maybe they are leaving the kids there because his parents are the ones caring for them.

I, too, am worried about the possibility of suicide. I'm adamant about LE getting those kids out before it becomes a hostage situation and he ends up killing the kids (God forbid!) then killing himself in an ultimate last show of control.

If I was Stacy and Kathleen's family members, I would be talking with an attorney about filing for custody.

There is plenty of evidence of his mental instability. If anything you'd think the kids could be taken under an emergency declaration or something.

Police: Peterson Suspended From Force Without Pay

POSTED: 10:58 am CST November 10, 2007
UPDATED: 4:22 pm CST November 10, 2007
(snip)

Illinois State Police Cpt. Carl Dobrich said Drew Peterson, 53, has moved from being a person of interest in her disappearance to "clearly being a suspect.""We have mixed emotions right now," said Pamela Bosco, Stacy Peterson's adoptive stepmother. "We're sad, but we needed to move on and this is something we've needed to hear for a long time. It's sadness, anger, frustration … but we knew it would come to this point. We've always felt that she would not run off. It's something she would never have done."

(snip)

Police said Drew Peterson was cooperative up to the point when they asked to search his Pontiac Grand Prix, which he refused.Peterson has said his wife phoned him and told him she had left him for another man. His attorney did not immediately return calls for comment. In a news conference, officials said they triangulated off the couple's phone conversations, which gave them an idea of where to search.

(snip)

Investigators theorized the water had drained. The review of Savio's death found that bleeding was inconsistent with drowning and the bruises inconsistent with her position in the bathtub."I looked at the photograph and it was clear it wasn’t an accident," one official said. But in a petition the Will County state's attorney filed Friday listing the reasons authorities want to exhume Savio's body, prosecutors said a review of evidence in the case "is consistent with the 'staging' of an accident to conceal a homicide."Prosecutors said they reviewed photographs of the crime scene and autopsy, the autopsy protocol, and police reports."The 1-inch gash in the back of Kathleen Savio's head did not render her unconscious, which would have been necessary for her to accidentally drown in the bathtub," the petition stated.

(snip)

Stacy Peterson's stepmother said Friday that Drew Peterson had gone to Savio's house the day her body was found. Unable to get into the locked house, Peterson reportedly solicited the help of a neighbor, who either used a key or called a locksmith to open the door.

As to the rumor that the person who did KS' autopsy was a cop, he could have been both a doctor and a former cop.

The psychiatrist for our PD is a former cop who went back to school. My sister's hubby is a DA who has a nursing degree.

Susan

I'm not sure exactly where the cop figure fits in with the autopsy. I do know posters at Greta wire asked her to follow up on the info and she said she would.

I know! They could be filing for an emergency temporary order of custody! I hope like hell for the safety of those kids that they are!!!!

Ummmm...would that be the parents who believe his sorry lies and still think Stacy ran off and left their poor son Drew to care for her babies? Not good!

I've cleaned this up a bit ... let's make sure we add any information about the day Stacy disappeared as it comes out.

-----------

10:15 a.m. Stacy talked to Bruce Sunday morning (per Bruce&Cassandra)

11:00 a.m. Ric Mims was told by Drew that he woke up at this time and Stacy was gone.

1:30 p.m. Cassandra starts calling looking for Stacy
She calls the house and Chris (one of the kids) tells her Stacy went to Grampas house ... Cassandra makes calls and confirms that Stacy never went

1:30 p.m. Ric Mims talks to Sharon (neighbor) who confirms both cars were in the driveway until 1:30 p.m.

11:00 p.m. Cassandra goes to the house, and observes no cars in driveway gives Chris fundraising money and asks him if he's alone? He says yes and tells her Mom & Dad got into a fight and Dad's out looking for her.

11:26 p.m. Cassandra calls Drew -- he wants to know where her sister is ... she left me. He's been out running around looking for her. Claimed he was now home, which she know wasn't true since she just left there.

She immediate goes to Downers Grove PD who tell her to go back to Bolingbrook and files a report (around midnight)

2:30 a.m. approx -- Cassandra drives back by and sees both cars in the driveway. Bruce then calls Drew to inquire about both vehicles in driveway. Drew claims that he talked to Stacy around 9:00 p.m. and she was fine and went on a little vacation, he got the car from the airport.

Looks great! One change though:

11:00 a.m. Ric Mims was told by Drew that he woke up at this time. And Stacey was gone.

At Greta, she is asking who people would rather hear from, DP or wife 2.

I'm quoting myself because there are some things within this article that REALLY stood out for me....

Police: Peterson Suspended From Force Without Pay

POSTED: 10:58 am CST November 10, 2007
UPDATED: 4:22 pm CST November 10, 2007

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. --

(snip
)Stacy Peterson, a 23-year-old petite brunette who was studying nursing at a nearby junior college, has not been seen since Oct. 28. Her family has said that she feared her husband, was making plans to divorce him and would not have willingly left her children.Illinois State Police Cpt.

Did Stacy express concerns that DP would KILL her to her family? I don't remember reading anything like that in the past. Just that she was afraid of him and his controlling ways.

NBC5's Lauren Jiggetts reported on Friday that Peterson's next-door neighbor said that late Thursday night, she and her husband were taking out the garbage when Peterson emerged from his home and walked over to the house. The neighbor said Peterson chased her and yelled her name. Later on in the night, Peterson knocked on her back window and yelled her name, the neighbor said. The neighbor said she no longer felt safe staying next door to Peterson at night. She is being relocated to an undisclosed motel to protect herself.Police said Drew Peterson was cooperative up to the point when they asked to search his Pontiac Grand Prix, which he refused.
Didn't they allow him to search the Denali? Why not the Grand Prix then? Which car was the one that the cadaver dogs hit on? And if he won't allow them to search it, why haven't they obtained another search warrant since DP is now considered a suspect in the potential homicide of Stacy Peterson?

Peterson has said his wife phoned him and told him she had left him for another man. His attorney did not immediately return calls for comment. In a news conference, officials said they triangulated off the couple's phone conversations, which gave them an idea of where to search.
I KNEW the cell phone records would be a help in this search. I just hope that he didn't have an accomplice that had her phone and was calling DP using the phone in an effort to throw LE off from the actual location of SP.

(snip)

The review of Savio's death found that bleeding was inconsistent with drowning and the bruises inconsistent with her position in the bathtub."I looked at the photograph and it was clear it wasn’t an accident," one official said. But in a petition the Will County state's attorney filed Friday listing the reasons authorities want to exhume Savio's body, prosecutors said a review of evidence in the case "is consistent with the 'staging' of an accident to conceal a homicide."

Interesting... which is it? Did the neighbor have a key or was there a locksmith solicited. And why the hell weren't the cops called if DP suspected something was awry?
