She was buried under the name Kathleen Savio. Her death certificate also shows her legal name as Kathleen Savio. Just an FYI.

Where did the blue barrel theory come from?
I seem to be reading a lot about this cement/blue barrel theory. Just wondering the validity of it!

Illinois State Police have expressed interest in a barrel once at the Peterson home. Searchers focused on that but came up empty Saturday.

Those are the main mentions in the online media. There's been mention of a barrel on Fox News several times over a week ago which is what got our attention.

No, they're actually a couple of blocks apart. DP's current home address is a single digit address, prior home where Kathleen lived is a 3 digit address.

One of Drew's brothers was in yesterday's video. He got angry with the media and told the cameraman to turn the camera off. His name was Paul Peterson.

Late last night I heard an update on Fox News. The reporter on scene in Bolingbrook said that Tim Miller of Equasearch was bringing in some sophisticated equipment for under water searches. He said that Tim Miller felt that Stacy would be found in the water.

I thought about that news update and wondered what led Tim Miller and other authorities to concentrate on searching areas of water. There's been several searches of the Peterson home, and police have interviewed many people in regards to Stacy's disappearance.

I think that somewhere along the line there's some evidence or clues that have made authorities concentrate on bodies of water.

You know I was just reflecting on the role media is playing in the search for Stacy Peterson.

After every high profile death, there are always rumors. Lots of rumors, many of which have no basis. And in the past the rumors would swirl, and no way to determine whether truthful or not. Media would check them out and if unable to verify they wouldn't mention them- which would allow them to continue spreading.

But here, with Greta's blog and Greta responding to the comments and with the CBS producer speaking to Windchime, they are able to help put those rumors to rest. So kudos to the media for helping to keep the info valid- both officialy and non-officially.

I read a lot, but don't post much. But I thought I heard Tim say on TV last night that the patches of disturbed ground, one was 3 feet x 7 feet. I thought he said they throught it might be Lisa Stebic? Am I imagining this or did I hear it?

I don't know who said it, but there was talk of the finding of a couple of sites of interest. And mention that it could possibly be Lisa Stebic. But I haven't heard anything since. Only one mention on Greta that the police weren't going to check out the sites of interest until Mon. or Tues.

Yes, I heard Tim say that too. There's one area of interest, disturbed earth about 3 feet by 7 feet, that authorities will be looking at. I believe LE was to be checking it out yesterday, and Tim speculated that it could be Lisa Stebic, as the Stebic home is about 10 miles or so away from Bolingbrook.

Edited to add.............strange things DO happen. I'm reminded of the search earlier this year for Ben Owmby, 13 years old, missing for six days. When Ben was found in the apartment of his kidnapper, Michael Devlin, the police found Shawn Hornbeck, who had been missing for more than 4 years.
