I agree, he has to know that first hand. He has to know that they have not been able to find enough proof to take Craig Stebic to trail, jail...ect
I think he figured since he had gotten away with Kathleen's murder and since Stacy's own Mother disappeared - he could do away with Stacy and LE would assume she "took off". He never counted on the media hounding him and that this would make national news - I'm sure he never imagined they'd look into Kathleen's death again. I don't really know if they'll ever find Stacy's body.

He thought they would buy his story that she went "missing willingly" and what he did was done in a hurry.

Bingo! I am sure he based his decision to get rid of Stacy in part on the lack of media attention to wife #3's death and that Stacy was behaving like her mother when she disappeared (plus there was no media attention on that disappearance). In light of that, staging Stacy's "disappearance" might seem to be a no-brainer. People would just assume Stacy was acting just like her mom.

He never ever even thought for a minute he would be a "media sensation".

I am trying to catch up on this case, where was Stacy's car found?

How are the children being cared for now?

He appears to be nuttier than a fruit cake to me. I hope they have not left guns in the home, IF IF the children are still there. perhaps they should be REMOVED.

.

Hi Camper - Stacy's car was found near a local pond
Drew currently has the children and has not let Stacy's family see them since she disappreared.
I agree with the nuttier than a fruit cake - he's just EWW makes my skin crawl

Too funny! I just wrote the same thing at the same time! LOL

Most states allow their retired cops a carry permit/license for anywhere in their state, usually granted on the date of retirement. I do not know if his guns were confiscated when Stacy disappeared. If not, I doubt he would give up the ones he owns.

Her car was found by LE in the driveway actually. It was only "according to Drew" that her car turned up at the airport near their house with a retaining pond nearby.

Last I heard, his brother Paul was watching the kids at Drew's home.

Thanks for the correction, SS :blowkiss: - must have had a :loser: moment.

There are no charges against him at present and with no body, no indication that a gun was used in a crime. There fore they don't have any legal reasons for taking his guns.

I believe the guns were removed with the first search warrant.

in this state if you have a restraining order, domestic violence related, they take away your carry permit. Does anyone know what the law says about that in Illinois?

Kathleen Saivo had a restraining order against him that was later dropped. But he has been a cop ever since.

The way it works in Colorado is like this...if the restraining order is dropped they get to still have a carry permit. Restraining orders are dropped more often then not, unfortunately. I am sure he put pressure on her to drop that restraining order.
