Of course she was seeing a psychiatrist. Try living with a control freak like him!

The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that the husband, who is a police officer that is 53 years old (thirty years older than Stacy) has told reporters that she was seeing a psychiatrist, taking Effexor, a prescription anti-depressant medication and struggling with "mood issues" since the cancer death last year of her sister, Peterson said during a brief interview in the couple's Bolingbrook home.

All right guys, based on the following it appears that Drew was definately in the picture prior to Stacy's mom disappearing. (True, it could be just a few months or so).

1.) Kathleen said she found out that he was dating Stacey when she was 16. (posted by msshelia #254). If Stacy is 23 now, that would make the year she was 16 to be 2000.

2.) The Lion stated that Stacy was 16 when her mother took off.

3.) No confirmed reports yet on DP dating the older sister who died last year (2006) of cancer.

I believe her mother's disappearance needs to be looked into very carefully with the thought that the Lion is behind it.

I TOTALLY agree and maybe someone should email the Bolingbrook police with this thought.

2 modes of thought here about the medication and mood issues: he's trying to make it look like she was mentally unstable, in hopes of people chalking up her disappearance as her going off and possibly committing suicide... or that she was stressed out and decided to disappear like her mother did. (her mother had a history of disappearing for weeks at a time... which would easily lead people to think her mother was just a runaway mom. DP could easily play the "mother like daughter" card... he seems arrogant enough to try to.)

What ever the situation, he just never realized that the media firestorm would come to burn his bum. I honestly think, though, Stacey will not be found without his help: he has probably hidden her well, due to the fact that he doesn't need Stacey being found dead... what with wife #3 having died under mysterious circumstances.

No, it says "He says that when she was fifteen years old that her mother "took off."

That age has also been reported elsewhere on posts about when the mother went missing,

I'm new to this thread but have been watching all the coverage on Greta.

So glad that DP is now a suspect.

I do have one question - we know that wife #4 is missing, wife #3 was found dead in the bathtub - what about wife #1 and #2 - has anything been written about them, are they still alive???

They are still alive, to the best of our knowlege, and they are not speaking to the media. The media had a very hard time finding them. This is everything I know about 1 & 2. If anyone else knows- please chime in.

The latest....

http://gretawire.foxnews.com/
OTR producers Steph Watts and Cory Howard both just emailed me that two police officers - Bolingbrook - showed up at Sgt. Peterson’s house about 5pm eastern. The STATE police are investigating the case…the Bolingbrook police force is the force Sgt. Peterson is on. I asked why…and they are trying to find out…I will let you know if I get that answer…
<SNIP>

If you haven't read the Gretawire Blogs... the posts are really interesting. I'm also going to check out another forum to see what they're saying over there. This case has me all wrapped into it! I haven't been as interested in a case since Laci.

I only remember reading or hearing wife # 1 lived in CA, and then in different comments in news clips I did make note that one aunt lived in El Monte, CA and an uncle in Hemet, CA.

I don't have the obit link for Tina, but several of the relatives listed lived in CA.

Even is she was 15 when her mother took off, and 16 when she was dating DP, she could have had a birthday within a month or two of those times, which could mean that Drew might have known the mother.

You guys, I wanted to read that letter that Kathleen Savio wrote to the prosecutors. Do any of you know where I can find it?
Thanks

  • #272
Okay, even DP doesn't have it right. (No surprise there!)

3/11/1998- Christie Marie Cales goes missing from Blue Island IL at age 40.
(From our timeline and news article)

Stacy is 23 in 2007...........

That would mean she would have been 14 years old when her mother disappeared. Right??

Hi Tristen. Just look on the timeline that we have going, either on this page or the previous one. It lists all the events in this case so far, and we listed and linked the letter.

ETA: It's listed on page 10 of this thread in the timeline. Reading the timeline is very helpful in learning the order of events and keeping up to date with the thread and the case.

At Greta's comments they are saying he is now officially suspended from his job and that officers were there to advise him of that. However no one answered the door.

  • #276
oops, I see msshelia told you where to find it.

Thank you mysteriew!

He wasn't right in another statement he made saying Stacy's mother Christie Toutges went missing in 1999.

"Subsequent to that search warrant, we went back several days later on another search warrant based on information that was learned after the first search warrant," Dobrich said.

Based upon the information learned since then, police have concluded that the case had gone "from a missing persons case to a potential homicide case," Dobrich said.

"Early on, we looked at this as a missing persons case, but also believed strongly that based on the (Kathleen) Savio investigation (into the death of Drew Peterson's third wife) and the information that we were gleaning within the first 24 hours of the missing persons case with Stacy, was starting to strongly point to Drew Peterson being a person of interest," Dobrich said. "I would say that right now, Drew Peterson has gone from being a person of interest to clearly being a suspect."

As usual I wonder what they have from the SW returns.
