Starbucks sued for pulling offer

A Starbucks customer in the US who was told her free drink voucher was worthless is launching a $114m (£60m) lawsuit against the coffee colossus.

Starbucks pulled the free drink offer, saying it had been redistributed beyond its original intent.

The woman's lawyer says $114m equals the cost of drinks for all those turned away when the company decided to cancel its offer.

She's a LAWYER!!!!! No joke, I am not making this up. Heard it myself on good ol' CNN. I don't know what type of lawyer or what she specializes in, but she's a lawyer nonetheless.

Ridiculous. So many people need legal aid in this country, and here we have 2 lawyers (the woman & the lawyer she hired) wasting their time on a damn coupon!!! Geez Louise!!!

Not only do I hope she is laughed right out of court...I wish she would have to be responsible for Starbuck's attorney fees. If there were some financial consequences slapped against these attorneys & clients for filing frivolous lawsuits, then maybe people wouldn't rush in to try and cash in so quickly.
