I just saw this on Joey Jackson's FB, didn't know if anyone had seen it, it tells about jurors who have to decide life or death.

http://www.nlada.org/DMS/Documents/1106668066.47/0124deathjurors24.html

quoted from the article

The jury found Andriano guilty Nov. 18, about 15 minutes after they went into the jury room, said juror Jay Erke, 48, an airline mechanic foreman from Mesa.

one can only hope for something like that here,Juan clearly done his job amazingly

I can see her giving him the DVD or CD player and thus a remote that forgot to change hands in the process.

I hope the jury connects that DVD to the one stolen from grandparents! and the gun.

BBM~ Jodi is her granddaughter. I don't have children nor will I ever, but would a mother/grandmother/sibling would stand by a loved one not matter what?

I think grandma believes Jodi was a victim of DV.

Grandma sure looked like she did not want to be there! I think she was "brought in" to affect the jury as in "see how pitiful and sweet Jodi's grandma is? So how can you vote to put her to death?".....another ploy by the DT probably. But I do feel sympathy for the grandma, she was another person used by Jodi.

One thing I read was that since 2002 juries here in Arizona have voted for the DP in 14 out of 18 cases.

Being here in Arizona this gives me hope that this jury will also give her the DP. This case just screams out for it. Travis deserves justice... her getting LWOP isn't justice. I want her to sit in a cell all alone until they put a needle in her arm. Although I wouldn't mind her going out the same way Jeffrey Dahmer did either.

Dr Geffner is a psychologist with 28 years of experience.
He’s also the founder and president of the Family Violence and Sexual Assault Institute in San Diego and often speaks out against domestic violence.

So I would assume they've worked together.

It is for sure that this is the friend of ALV that is going to testify?

the OP quoted my post yesterday with the original comment and it was what betsyb made of it. there was nothing sadistic etc about it.

I have not been a part of this discussion about prisoners donating organs, but I would agree that the original post was not about "forcing" donation from prisoners or anything like that. It was simply that poster saying he/she thought some good may come from allowing JA to donate organs. Then the discussion went in a totally different direction ie: forced donation, organ memory, etc.

I personally, do not agree with prisoner donations for a myriad of reasons, but have no problem with a discussion about all different points of view. The problem comes in when someone feels very strongly one way or another and is unable to let others express their opinion without describing their opinion as vile, cruel, etc. Everyone has a right to THEIR opinion and can disagree without using words that will incite an argument.

If you want to see an article that shows the issue from a lot of different viewpoints; doctors, organ donation coordinators, prisoners, etc this is a really interesting article (someone else posted it earlier so they deserve the credit for finding this interesting article).

not to quote myself but another piece from that article:

Percy said she also considered the arguments against execution, but on balance, "we could not find mitigating factors that overwhelmed the cruelty. To me, to everybody there, the knife wound was the crowning blow. She had three chances to back off."

awfully similar, jodi had plenty of chances to back off,she had a chance for all 29 stab wounds, slitting his throat and then shooting him.

i sure hope this jury is like the Adriano one

Why would you be against prisoner organ donations?

I'm actually getting panic attacks. :scared:

Is anyone getting really anxious as THE day is approaching? I'm overwhelmed by so many different emotions...Anger, sadness, anxiety etc. I really hope Travis' family is having extra support and rest during these last days. I'm glad all you guys are here. None of us wants to be alone on verdict day...

if this were my child,i would not be there supporting them,no way no how. i'd be supporting Travis' family.

Jodi's art is still for sale on Ebay.

And there is other art related to the trial/case which is listed for sale.

IMO, this Dr is there more to redeem Dr Samuels and ALV.

i thought it was just me.

i couldn't stop crying yesterday,i watched some tribute videos and that opened the floodgates. i started to feel anxious after thursday once court was over and realized it was a week til D-Day.

i dont know how i will feel when the verdict is being given,i guess a mix of happy sad relief. i know one thing though i will no doubt be bawling my eyes out

But the roommate never never saw jodi, right? Somewhere I did read that a roommate said Travis was up all night and was shoked to find out jodi was there outside. That confused me.

The room mate was Thomas Brown, the guy arias tried to point the finger at. She told Detective Flores to get a hold of him.

One last time, the post in question: “Wouldn't it be nice if they could harvest her organs before putting her to death? Giving someone who is good and kind a much needed extension of life? Those organs could do a lot of good.”

It speaks for itself. And, so do the comments that came out in full support of this idea. It wasn't ambiguous, and can't be made into something ambiguous after the fact.

It is of some comfort to me that quite a few posters expressed, instead, shock, outrage and moral disgust at the idea.

If anybody wants to disagree, please, be fair and accurate about who said what.

Speaking of the moving hand having writ, Arias proffered forged writings to the court when she was representing herself. These "letters" were supposed evidence of Travis's pedophilia issues and a fraud upon the court. If she is brazen & crooked enough to try that, why would anyone believe her testimony under oath?
