State rests rebuttal case- thread #163

I wish there was a video or even text of JM doing a closing argument. I think he's a better speaker than Nurmi and JW and will hold the jury's attention throughout the whole thing.

i think her planning and executing of this murder was even worse and scarier than we can imagine. i'm anxious for the verdict and interviews with the jurors after. she deserves the DP for sure, but just by some fluke she got a 40 yr sentence and had to serve all of it with no possibility of parole, she would be 72 when she got out. would she even want to get out after all that time? my cousin and i are avid watchers of the trial, her opinion is she will p-- off people in prison and be killed.

I really want to hear from CEO after the trial and I hope he stays quiet until then but then really tells all!.

Since juror #8's name has now been revealed is it possible he will talk to media even before this trial is over? Is he allowed to do so?

I don't blame him for drinking but why did you have to drink and drive CEO? :(

I think JA began stabbing TA in the shower when he was facing the back wall of the shower. Didn't the ME say the 9 stab wounds on his back were in an upward thrust? He would have never known she was about to do that with his back to her.

Before, but they can choose to go again after.
I want Juan to do that!

I do recall clearly, that Ashton was the last voice the jury in Orlando heard, regarding closing arguments, before jury instructions (I think), and then to deliberation. For some reason I recall, in Arias's case, did they say jury instructions, then closing arguments? That seems kinda backwards to me. Maybe I heard it incorrectly. Nothing new about that, scrambled egg brain syndrome is common place in dealing with this trial's zig zags and loops. :dunno::dunno::dunno:

BBM. This all makes sense...just curious, where do you put the sink event in your theory if the initial knife wounds (front and back) would have been inflicted while he was on the ground, as you say?

Looking at the crime scene photos, very little was disturbed on the sink. I think he was standing by the sink when she stabbed his chest. The subsequent stab wounds occurred to his back and back of his head. The 9 clustered wounds look to me like he was stationery and protecting his head with his hands. The scraping stab wounds to his back indicate to me that he was moving, likely on hands and knees crawling.

The hand prints on the sink look watery, possibly indicating he was wet when he grabbed ahold of the edge for support. He was obviously upright over the sink coughing blood because of the spray pattern on the mirror, faucet and the left portion of the sink.

The stab wound to his throat would have been while he was collapsed on the carpet IMO. Head wounds bleed profusely. And the amount of blood in that bathroom in different places indicated there was movement as he was in flight/flight mode. IMO, the blood on the wall where it looked smeared, appeared to me as transfer. There is no way JA was not covered in blood, his blood.

When you look at all of it in totality, it is even more heinous. JMO

Been trying to post but keep getting error message that server is too busy

Ya, I know right!. I posted the most awesome post of all time on this case. It was a half page entry. So frustrating because I had all the answers to everything anyone would want to know. It totally would blow you out of the water. No kidding. I ... um ... just can't quite remember ..... ... um ..... quite what ... it was that I said .... right now .... sooooo

Don't worry ... it will come back to me ... and then, of course, I will get back to you :giggle:

But seriously folks ... that really did happen (minus the part about the most awesome post ever .. shrug). Oh well .. these things happen.

Did your grandaughter show up? I've been Praying!

Yes, thank you. She's napping as we speak. :)) I posted a couple of times already. Sorry you didn't see those. It was a difficult day for all our family and friends. I don't think she'll pull anything like that again. I found out the other day that she was actually located by a private investigator hired by her boss. That's a good boss! We didn't even know, it all happened so quickly. My husband went to a basketball game with the boss and all the employees, including grandnaughtier, last night. :))

Has anyone seen MM interview with Det Flores---if there is one. It seems to reason that he has many answers about the premeditation and the crime. I know he said he would lie for her but can't they pressure him to give information?

Is MM even a real person? For awhile I really thought it was Jodi's imaginary ex-boyfriend. I am simply being snarky. I am aware that the lawyers have met with him, and I believe he was in testimony/meeting prior to the trial starting.

Jodi likes to think she has an IQ as high as Albert Einstein but if that were true why didn't she lawyer up before letting the police interview her from day one?
It would have made it a lot harder for the prosecution to pin anything on her but she just kept blabbing on and on.
If you were charged with a serious crime a smart person would request a lawyer before they ever said anything to the police.
Good thing she's not the brightest bunny in the bush or there might have been allot longer court case and possibly different results.
Jodi is soon going to be one lonely women at best and will have lots of time to relive her life-over and over and over

I can't remember from other trials I have watched - are attorneys allowed to object and have sidebars during closing arguments?

Venting out loud to myself: Can we please stop comparing the CA case to JA? Different case, different jury.

I agree with you. I simply use it as a reference model, regarding the order in which things go in the trial process. I realize there are different rules for different states, but its the only trial that I followed religiously, from start to finish.

Do you think he has hired Nurmi or Willmott to defend him?:D:rolleyes:
