State rests rebuttal case- thread #165

I did want to scream when Hughes was explaining the context of the email and they just cut him off and had some other female yack about her thoughts. I'm like what just happened? Reminds me why I almost never watch these shows. :banghead:

I don't watch at all anymore. Waste huge waste!

Trisha's radio show will be great! She lets her guests talk!

I swore I would never ever watch NG after the 'TOT MOM' trial. She drove me nuts, but she is getting guests on that are TA friends and that are supplying insight into crazy JA.

I can't believe I actually switched over to the Zimmerman trial.... I must be a glutton for punishment or else really having some JM withdrawal..... Not sure my brain and emotions can handle the two trials at one time...

I can't figure out why they hired Judge Seidlin to appear on HLN After Dark - he is one of the big reasons I don't enjoy watching the show! :banghead:

He's an idiot... a clown. I have never had any respect for him, especially after the ANS fiasco.

I can't stand HLN After Dark - the "jury" doesn't vote on true facts and you're always going to have at least one "jurist" vote opposite of what everyone else votes...

It's really sad what HLN is turning this trial into.

I just said "who knows if he is BS'ing", not "I think" he is BS'ing.

Anyways, if you read back in the thread, the reason this even came up was because of CH being on Dr. Drew, and some people don't like him.

Just because someone does all this good for other people, does not mean they have a hidden agenda.

After all, we are entitled to our opinion. :seeya:

Respectfully, what in the world would give you the idea Chris Hughes was bs'ing? All he has done is testify when called to the stand, remain quiet until the state rested and now he is telling the truth of what happened in his home. His wife has told the exact same story. His friend Holly Mefford was in the room when Jodi came over to their home after this incident, and asked Sky why she hates her. Holly relayed that Sky went in to detail of why she is not welcome in her home, to never come there or contact her again, and kicked her out. Why would you even guess that ANY friend of Travis was bs'ing?

Here are several of them Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - State rests rebuttal case- thread #165

I'm just curious. Chris and Sky Hughes have behaved in a way beyond reproach in my opinion. They have not sold stories to the tabloids, etc. Instead they have set up a fun to help Travis' family and are helping to set up a board for a charity to continue Travis' work of going to city schools to encourage young people. He is a far better person than I am, on my best day.

I really do not understand why the Jury did not hear this, I am looking forward to hear more of his stories.

Chris was put on the witness list for the defense. I believe Nurmi did not want Chris to testify after he got an idea about how that would go. Nurmi kept him on that list, in my opinon, to keep Chris from watching the trial. PURE SPITE, in my opinion. Nurmi should buy a new Lazy Boy and call it a day.

That is exactly the moment I was talking about.

At the beginning he said he would need eight hours to tell all of the stories. Your program is probably 20 minutes long without commercials. Can't he have ten minutes at the very least??? Maybe 15??

Get rid of the experts when you have someone like him on the show. Thanks. The end.

I never really watched her show before this trial. She seemed like such a buffoon, why would I? But weirdly, now that I have watched a bunch of her shows she doesn't bother me as much. It helps to see her and her panelists as entertainers, not serious commentators.

:giggle:

I think he meant if there was any money left over, i.e. if the family was using the donated money for hotels/meals/etc. during the trial, and they don't use all of the money received for that (because they receive more than necessary), the rest will carry over to Chris's fund.

Does the family have to give the money back or do they not get it all at once? TIA. this is really bothering me

That's the only reason I watch. I love their insight. I could listen to his friends all the livelong day.

I'll take your word on it. I am NOT clicking that link! No way! I'm not getting sucked into that trial!

Me either. Nope not going there.

Is the fund that CH spoke of the same as the fund that we have been donating to? I'm confused. I thought the Alexander family was receiving donations directly, whether via Paypal or direct mail.

They treat this case and the trial like it's a reality show. It's sickening.

It's done through PayPal so any money given appears in the designated bank account instantly. No, they are under no obligation to return unused funds.

I do know what you are talking about. I would like to know if all of Travis' friends will be allowed in the court for the verdict even if there is standing room only?

There may be room in the courthouse with live feed where they can watch. Just a guess.

His fund will get anything left over from what was donated to the Alexanders. The money donated goes directly to them, unless there is some unused once it's all said and done.

See my post above. :)

What is his fund for?
