I have to make coffee. I never make it until midnight at this rate.

What makes Dr. DeMarte's diagnosis credible is when Juan went through each & every point and they explained SPECIFIC examples from things JODI did & said to show why it applied!
That did not happen with ALV & Dick Samuels! And it's not being done with this guy either. If I was a juror, it would be insulting - they're not explaining HOW or WHY they're saying what they're saying!

Wow, this guy is super studied and ingratiating. I can't wait to see how this "aww shucks, I'm a doc but it don't mean a dag gone thing" veneer withstands JM's cross. If he behaves the same, it could be genuine, but my guess is he'll get nasty.

But this guy is a super-pro right? This is his bread and butter?

Well I'm just joining the party. I just woke up from a nap and saw a little of this while dressing. So I'm a little behind. (no jokes about that! )

I really didn't miss much because he's still testifying with Wilmott. I can't wait for JM to get his hands on him.

I'm guessing that so far this guy has been saying Jodi has PTSD and if it wasn't for Travis she'd be a Mormon nun. (If there is such a thing.)

BBM: :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: You are HILARIOUS, Steely !

But he's pointing in that direction.

yep. trying very hard not to appear biased but that is what his is doing alright. I can't wait til JM gets hold of him. All those lovely little past court issues and the times he has been taken to task by the court are coming.

:) :) :)

Did I miss anything earth shattering? I just got here

putting all this phd stuff aside. the jury has had five days to think about the autopsy pics and dr horn saying ja slit ta's throat while his heart was still beating. guilty 1st degree murder. jmo this testimony should be falling on deaf ears. moo

JA's blouse gap is making me nervous. I do NOT want to see inside there live

Geffner says there's no such thing as a floating profile.

He implies that JA was not smart enough to fool the tests' validity detection mechanisms.

I wonder, were her scores so high in some areas, and low in others, because she was able to manipulate the test?

And Geffner is so biased as to the 'perfect integrity' of the tests that he cannot allow for a master manipulator such as Jodi.

Having fooled mercenaries such as Samuels and ALV, JA has now sucked in Geffner.

Reason?

These 'experts' so trust the tests that they cannot suspect the respondent of rigging the results.

Wrong!

And now, he's giving the jury false information, perhaps doing so unintentionally.

I would like to know his personal opinion regarding the death penalty.

Here's what I want Juan to ask:

If the stressor event that these tests are based on is a HEINOUS MURDER....wouldn't that, of course, show fear (of being found out) anxiety (about possibly being arrested and prosecuted - least of all being fund guilty with the death penalty)???????????????????????????????????????

Amen! There has to be some catch!!

I think he said he wasn't being paid by HIS employer, or whatever institution he's affiliated with - but he did not say he wasn't billing the defense team, did he?

I suppose since this is a DP case the DT is allowed to waste as much time as they feel necessary to save their clients life. But I think they should all (DT) be held in contempt because this is indeed contemptible!

Hi momtective, but they are making the poor jurors sit through cruel and unusual punishment. :laughcry::deadhorse:

I highly doubt we will see the "aw Shucks" when Juan starts asking him about the times the court found him biased and not credible. I think we will see much more pomp and combativeness.

Dr. Geffner has to put the pieces of the puzzle together to explore further.

One and a half hours of boredom so far. This testimony is not even making sense to me.
Too much use of the word hypothesis!

They are trying to associate the word "hypothesis" with Dr. D's testimony instead of "Fact". They are going to beat that word into the jury's head all day long.

I have to say I like this guy better then the other witnesses who were obviously bias and defensive. I may not like or agree with what he says but at least he's being a professional.
I don't find his demeanor offensive either, however I'll reserve judgement until we how he comports himself under JM's cross. That'll be the true test. ;)

Apparently Jodi is staying at the cells in the courthouse while they wait for a verdict next week .. That's going to be as boring as all get out. Do they hang out in the courtroom in Arizona during this time, or does everyone go off and do their own thing until they get the message to rush in?
