travis sure has a difficult time with speech since the person you are testifying for murdered him in cold blood! :banghead:

oh 2 projectile cases with a gun, hmmm. And were you present when the individuals received those gunshots? Or a while after they had been medically treated?

He CANNOT predict the damage caused by a .25 FMJ HP bullet because he is NOT an EXPERT..... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Is it true that both the defense and state are asking for more witnesses???
Please God no.

Wait...they didn't get a brain specialist, surgeon, ME anyone who has touched a brain? This is going to rebut Dr. Horn?

Dr. Horn already said gun shots to the brain are completely different then a projectile like an arrow. It causes major damage from the energy from the bullet, the gasses and more.

They could just pull someone off the street "Yeah someone in my family had a stroke and I've seen people on YouTube who had something go in their brain and talk." This man is NOT going to change anything for me.

How does the court reporter transcribe a belch?

Juan is going to discredit all of this anyway

This guy needs to be crucified by JM. He's so far out of his scope of practice it's not funny.

I can not *believe* JS is allowing this man to testify as an expert in a medical area.
Unbelievable!

This is dumb..there is no way to quantify the damage (if the shot was first). Nails are not hot, no shockwave..

How did the bullet end up in his 'cheek', if it entered above his eye..did it ricochet inside? If it did, damage was global.

I'm hearing words like "might" and "could".

I'm not hearing any certainty at all.

He's not there to refute Dr. Horn.

He's there to create unreasonable doubts that might be mistaken for reasonable ones.

so who had a stroke? Did Jodi have a stroke? Did Nurmi have a stroke? Did Wilmott have a stroke? Did someone happen to lose their speech in this case?

I'm actually looking forward to my 3:30 root canal. Seriously.

I promise that I am trying very hard to listen to this witness, but I keep staring at JW's bald spot and then I get to thinking of the many ways that she could fix it, and I totally lose what Dr. So and So is saying. Is it just me? Ugh! JW PLEASE SIT DOWN!!!!

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: Too funny, I am doing the same thing, it's very distracting.

He's going to refute Dr. Horn.

He has dealt with three cases related to projectiles into the brain. :floorlaugh:

I can't believe this is being allowed period. What has happened to justice - is it also being destroyed by political correctness? This is a travesty.

He better know about damage not around the wound tract, as well as the wound tract, or he's not knowledgeable about gunshot brain injury.

  • #539
So this guy has done therapy with two people who were shot in the head? And that makes him an expert somehow, in THIS CASE? He has not even read the police report. PPFFTTTT.

I can't believe she is trying to use this guy to discount a ME's testimony. Wow!
