Re: hailey dunn ...Do you think it was LEs only named person of interest? I do.

I really do think he was, and he acted alone in the crime. But if they get him, he will totally bring anybody else down with him IMO that had any inkling of it, if you know what I mean. Because the whole story seems really off.

I have HLN on now and Geffner is still on the stand. How much longer am I looking at? Thanks. BTW what is the name of the last witness?

I'm right there with ya :( It's almost midnight here.

Hugs to you. It's so hard--I cried and cried for days. They colonize our hearts, no? A kiss for your Jubilee:blowkiss:

Agreed, huge hugs to you mck16. My pets are my family and I can't imagine the sadness you feel right now.

I think most of them were favorable- still a few that are defense oriented. ( like we have seen, an either way interpretation on a few).
But the biggie, was the juror question to Dr Horne- how if the duramater in the brain was intact did the bullet penetrate the brain?-- pause--my report must have a typo.
The rest were ok.

Well, hopefully that's not too much of a biggie. The bullet HAD to have hit the brain. It entered the skull cavity and exited the skull cavity. The skull cavity is filled with brain.

But man that typo hurts. I hope a defense leaning juror doesn't latch onto that. In the end it doesn't really matter what came first. Jodi premeditated the murder and Travis clearly suffered before he died. That is murder one regardless of the order.

Ok, huh?

Juror question: "Would you agree that 100% of the people you have seen with frontal lobe trauma are deceased at the time of your examination?"

What is this juror's point??? He is a medical examiner.

I think the point was Dr Horn said all the head gun shot victims he'd seen in his practice had been incapacitated immediately, if not dead. JW argued that research has shown some have remained ambulatory. Dr Horn said he doesn't base his opinion on research. He bases it on his patients. .... So I think the juror was challenging his logic, saying "but all your patients are dead so how do you know others haven't remained ambulatory?". That subset of patients may end up in hospitals, in rehab, with brain damage, whatever... But not dead, therefore not one of dr horn's patients.

I think the question was kind of made into a joke by Dr Horn, not his fault, the juror could've expounded on his/her point a little better. But still a good point made by the juror. I find all the juror questions very impressive. Gives me great hope for ths jury.

I believe that question shows that at least one juror/alternate is not buying the ME's testimony that the gunshot wound was necessarily immediately incapacitating.

I know it's late and we're all tired. Are we being punked now :scared:

HE might be EASY ON THE EYES but he definitely was NOT the prosecution's strongest witness.

Most medical reports are now done using a template generated on a computer program. The MD can type in specific information related to the patient report or check certain items which translates to specific verbiage that is the same for every report. It could be as simple as the fact that a check was placed in the wrong box to report the description of the dura mater. I feel certain the actual photos will demonstrate that the bullet had to have penetrated the brain since the dura mater (and brain) lie next to the skull. The jurors should be able to see it themselves. JMO

And so was Dr. Horn, he admitted it was a report error, the Dura Mater was pierced. It was an error in transcription, a minor one, should not affect the case!

I was thinking he might have transcribed his report and said it out of habit. It was normal ie: he saw no hemorrhages in it in other words, TA didn't die of suffocation or massive bleeding in the brain.

If a bullet pierced the skull and brain it is kind of a given that the dura will have a hole in it but otherwise is "normal"/intact

Bad words! tsk... Juan's got this! Don't worry. I think a juror(s) is playing devils' advocate.

Dr. Horn simply made a clerical error on a 8 page autopsy report.

Dr. Hayes brought it home with the "lies of Jodi". :rocker:

I'm worried there may be a hung jury.

I'm worried there may be a hung jury.

Not me, they do not want to subject another jury to what they had to sit through. Coupled with fact of the pain TA's family have been through. Be positive.

I have been there as well, very painful. :( SS to hear your sad news.

Me too. My Big Buddha passed about 4 years ago, and I cry when I think of him. Buddha would lay on top of Daddy when he would nap on the couch and my BF would swear he was trying to take his breath! LOL! We would wake up in the morning with him on our pillows, drooling on one of our heads while 'making biscuits'. Something that totally drove us up the wall is something we now miss so much.

Wishful thinking on your part.

He actually testified that the gunshot wound was almost certainly _not_ immediately incapacitating, directly contradicting the ME's testimony.

And yet he's another Ph.D. in psychology--not a Medical Doctor (M.D.), as the Medical Examiner is. A person who has a Ph.D. in psychology has little or no knowledge regarding the measurable science of the human body.

Jodi's mom not looking at photo of Travis'
bullet wound.

But, she is there trying to be a good mom.

This is why I have ZERO compassion for this woman.

She appears to refuse to acknowledge that her disgusting daughter did anything wrong, much less the absolute horror of it.

She tried to sell the fake pedo letters and she HAS to know they are fake.

She wears domestic violence ribbons and brings her elderly mother into court doing the same, and I believe she KNOWS it's all BS.

She's sat on repeated occasions and snickered and smirked during testimony that was devastating to Travis' family.

At the very least she could sit stoically in support of her daughter, without snickering or smiling, without wearing ribbons that devalue their significance, and she could at the very least acknowledge the pain the Alexander family is going through by some small means.

Jodi is her daughter. I understand she doesn't want her to die. That does not grant her the right to "pretend away" the facts, any more than it grants Jodi the right to make up disgusting lies about Travis to avoid taking responsibility for slaughtering him.

I really have no compassion for her at all anymore.

Well I liked the defense witness .... He was far less combative than ALV. He gave the prosecution everything needed to erase any memory of the fog....and every other expert the defense put up!

I liked him:)

Did JM or JW bring up the hippocampus or fog with the last witness. We're there any jury questions for her? Thx

Awwww, new puppy? He looks like a cocker or King Charles cavalier?

And brought this over from previous thread.

BBM

I don't get what you mean by that?

The defense is saying the gun shot was first.

The burned part was a pun on my screen name ("hacker name"). My hacker phrase was "I'm so fast you might get burned." Does that help?
