Sorry, but it's hard to follow what's happening in court with all the side discussions about JA and bear paintings.

Did we just definitively establish that a call was made from the house on the TWC phone Sat morning (around 6:40am) while BC was not in the house? Is this 100% established or are we waiting on further testimony from the Cisco VOIP expert (apparently the #2 expert since BC seemingly invented VOIP based on some comments).

That's huge for me. Prosecution scenario would go out the window if that's the case.

Not only is my internet going out every 5 minutes, the electricity is going out as well. So I'm completely lost with respect to the live testimony. I can't even get caught up on here because of the outages. Arggggh!

re: Det Young "avoiding" the answer yes. You really don't call people, you call phones. I think the answer should be "if Brad and Nancy talked via phone at 6:40, she'd have to have been alive"

Re - the folks that "saw" NC running. I would want to know if they saw her in a baseball cap and ponytail. My guess is that any woman generally matching Nancy's description would have been wearing her hair UP, and maybe / probably a baseball cap. If that question was asked - and the "witness" said yes - then it would be unnecessary to pursue further. Especially anyone that came forward after the body was found and prior to any info being released about her dress / condition.

But they didn't ask them those questions, until 2-3 months later. They didn't ask anything.

Good point. I agree with wearing the hair up, but I virtually every female jogger will wear longer hair in a ponytail. As for the baseball cap, I could see either way. Personally, I cannot stand wearing a cap while jogging during the summer. But others do wear them.

It's pouring out here in Johnston Co., and the buffering is terrible. Sorry about the off-topic, I think it started during the morning recess and continued with later responses. I haven't been able to keep up with current testimony because of the buffering ongoing out here. :(

Yes, a call went out TWC to BCs cell phone using the home phone line. I assume the prosecution will attempt to show evidence that it was automatically generated. But one did go out using the home landline.

Just thinking outloud here..but while talking about statements about Nancy's habit of wearing certain jewellry...I happen to where my momma's wedding band on my right pinky..everytime I go out..(however it is off when in bed or having a shower).....Now...IF I was found Dead half dressed on a construction site..without said item of jewellry on my person...One would assume, I didnt leave my own house under my own steam or had been stolen...Of course its not 100%..however, it sure would be a huge red flagg:maddening:

So are you saying that you NEVER leave your house without that ring on that finger? You haven't left your house 1 single time since you got the ring without it on your pinky finger?

Letter written by defendant's attorney Seth Bloom ruled hearsay - Judge sustains objection.

Jury has returned to the courtoom

I certainly feel for you as it's terribly aggravating to lose internet and electricity at this point in the trial. I have been able to watch the past 10 minutes in full without interruption.
I hope your buffering will improve. Double argggh!

They are currently bringing the jury back in after an argument over a letter pertaining to the sensitivity of data and data equipment and the files therein at CPD. Judge overruled in favor of pros as the letter and its contents constituting hearsay.

It would help considerably if the defense would be pin point with their questioning. There's back and forth regarding almost every question. The jury is going to be ready for a nap soon at this rate.

Did they say the time the home landline call was made?

LOL..Yes, when I put out the garbage, or doing garden work..I dont wear it..however what I am referring to is what her friends are saying about Nancy's usual wearing of her jewellry..And I would have to say, any friend of mine would assume I wore it 100% of the time..as they saw it 100% of the time when they were with me....... THAT was my point:rocker:

Okay, between buffering, did I hear Young state he's still examing phones and that the NC phone was the only one he'd lost data? Can't be sure because of buffering....?

  • #196
Okay, now this I just heard. "He didn't document the person's *name*." I ALWAYS take names, ALWAYS. I even ask for correct spelling of said name, when I'm trying to fix or get info on anything and everything.

  • #197
Ouch, he didn't write the instructions down? He documented most everything except that?

I find this series of questions regarding obtaining Puk Code somewhat silly.
Who was that person you talked to..what was his title, what was his expertise, then what did he tell you..

Then when he tried to follow sequence..which is what he was told, enter Password/Pins and follow prompts until PUK Code sequence is requested?..Dont think ya have to write that down..do ya?? Kurtz's voice is just so over the top with incredulousness..that he would not record that :floorlaugh:

My thought was and at this point remains..that Brad who was in possession of this BB Pearl, sabotaged it so that wiping would ocur..maybe after he got whatever he wanted off of it or because he couldnt open it up himself due to Nancy's security features...LOL

I agree that Kurtz is trying damage control this morning, with the love notes, etc. Still don't agree that a married man--and he was supposed to be happy at some point earlier in the marriage--should keep items like this even if they were prior to the marriage to Nancy.
Kurtz's grilling on the shoes seems to be going no where.

I agree with you. It would make me feel extremely bad if my husband had love notes around. Funny thing, if he had them, he wouldn't know it. They' be packed in some box covered in dust in the attic. Would I get rid of them? Yes!

Seriously though, if I found 30 year old ones written to me at this point packed away somewhere....(I wouldn't toss them). I'd get goosebumps reading them probably! Nothing to do with the author, but reading the nice things written about me, just the confidence boost type thing, not correct wording, can't think of it for now. My first boyfriend wrote beautiful letters; but I love my husband:-) P
