I will one day...but putting my lab down was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But it was only fair to her to do it. When I took her to the vet, I went back with her to do it. She was very scared, but I held her face right in front of mine. Now I've NEVER let this dog lick me in the face. She was the kind that liked to eat horse poop (and occasionally other poop). But I was holder her face talking to her as they started to inject her. At the last moment, she licked my nose twice and then went limp. Of course, I completely lost it at that point (and I'm about to lose it now remembering it).

When we lost our last girl that we'd acquired as a four week old pup, to oral melanoma, at the age of 13, I was inconsoleable for months. Had her put to sleep much like you describe.... Finally a friend suggested to me that we consider 'rescue work' in memory of our special girl. That *she* would want us to help rescue/save other dogs because of the good life *she* had with us. So that's what we do now, rescue adult dogs. We have three right now, one from an adopt-a-thon, one from craigslist, and one who appeared to have simply been dumped out here in the country. Frozen, emaciated, near death when we literally found her. You might try to wrap your head around that way of thinking. It helped me to be able to get past my trauma. hth and hugs to you.

Show Brads face. :maddening:

Ugh, those pictures must be awful. :(

Wherever the flies were....they were able to get access to Nancy's body and the scientist's calculations have Nancy dead before (or by) 6am.

FLIES DON'T LIE(S).

I'm really interested in the cross on this witness, because if they can't show reasonable doubt that the body was dumped by 6 am....

  • #246
This is absolutely sickening.

  • #247
Flies arrive WITHIN MINUTES of a body being available to insects, as long as there is some kind of light available.

Paging an expert from the Body Farm in TN.

<Please pick up the white courtesy phone>

You might be needed for additional expert testimony regarding human decomp and # of minutes until bugs arrive. (so sorry to even be talking about this subject; I mean no disrespect).

I hope kurtz doesnt do the cross!

Not earlier than 1a.m. and no later than 6a.m.

Is that what we're getting?

She was NOT at home at 7 or 7:30.

I am sure Dr. Vass, of the TN Body farm fame could answer some of these questions..however dont think it is necessary..Flys dont lie, and life stages of Blow flys tell the story..Nancy was Dead BEFORE she supposedly went jogging...NOT looking good for Brad

There ya have it..using that graph and allowing for error rates ..they could now estimate back to 1AM July 12th.....Yikes...I wonder how defense is going to deal with that??..

This goes with my gut feeling, that Nancy was murdered during sleep..then disposed of while the kids slept..and Brad did his HT runs to dispose of items like shoes etal~~

This stuff does show she wasnt alive and running around that morning...

The defense will drag in it's own 'bug guy', much like in the Danielle VanDam case IMO.

Defense didn't object to any of these questions. I'm curious to see what Trenkle (I'd be surprised if it's Kurtz) comes back with on cross.

  • #256
Yes, it will be Trenkle on cross.

and YES, Nancy was dead sometime between 1am and 6am.

FLIES DON'T LIE(S).

  • #257
Well, I will not be eating lunch today!

After thinking about it, I hope he does. I think he's less able than Trenkle.

I was just thinking about my ears today. lol

This is the same type of thing they did in the Peterson case. They have the boring witnesses and those that prove NOTHING, at the beginning. The meat of the pros case comes during the final days of the pros case. Can't have THESE details get lost in the bs.

JMHO
fran

PS....during the Peterson case, it was an 'OMG!' moment for just about EVERYONE watching the testimony, when the very last pros writness, the lead det testified and he presented his "47 reasons why MPD Kept Returning to the Bay." That fact was NOT lost on the jury, that's for sure!
