If this was the case, what was the point in fighting for custody of the girls? Or perhaps not fighting for them would REALLy paint him in the most negative light?

Appearances and money? Seems like for much of the time 2004 and on he was disconnected from his home life. Iron Man, School, HM, France travel, emailing and tweeting love interests.

Perhaps this is the reason HM told Nancy about the affair.....she became a scorned lover....

Maybe so, we have a good idea that it wasn't guilt by her behavior.

Because they were HIS kids. An extension of himself. Everything belongs to Brad. EVERYTHING.

yeah, that's always been a piece of the puzzle that doesn't fit for me. Being a single dad would really cut into his lifestyle.

I agree with you. And fighting for them in a court case opened him up to testifying. It didn't make sense.

That would be right around the time NC stopped having sex with him. Not justifying the behavior, just making an observation.

Or did he stop having sex with NC?

I'm pretty sure that would have come out in this trial. She didn't exact hold stuff like that back. And her friend testified that she wasn't sleeping with him except when trying to conceive the second child.

Which could be used by defense as a reason he would not have wanted NC gone (w/out taking the kids).

Respectfully, Nancy had every reason in the world to discontinue relations with Brad. STDs are deadly these days, she not only had her life to worry about, but she had two small girls to raise. MOO

I think Brad was jealous of Nancy...how she could adapt..make friends ..close family relationships...she would go on without him

NCSU this is a serious question. Do you think any murder or murder ever makes sense? State of mind of the murderer has to be considered as not rational IMO.

True, BR..and its a really good excuse to not be with one or another or another..Nancy was a great Babysitter, and launderer..And Sure C. would think another thing about it...I'll bet he told her he was a single pappa..no mention of any wifey..JMO

Everything you have said about STDs is true, but I don't think NC knew about affair(s) back then?

I thought it was since the birth of their second daughter, which would be 2006?

What we've never found out is why NC stopped sleeping with him at that early time.

She didn't know about any affair in 2006 though.

Women like to feel desired and loved....I don't think Brad made Nancy feel either of these feelings. :twocents:

Please. Neither you nor I has any idea about their sex life. They *did* have a second child. 'not justifying the behavior'. Bringing it up in this regard is blaming the victim IMO

Even though he could "save" money in child support, the kids certainly put a damper in his life (he would have no life anymore other than work).

Brad thought affair would ruin his Family...what did he think murder would do
