Don't know why we had to have the black out. Just heard Kurtz say they will not exceed two weeks.

Jury wants to know how long this trial will last, they have commitments in May. Cummings wanted to be off camera for the discussion. Defense doesn't plan to exceed 2 weeks.

I missed it who wants to? prosecution?
Defense asked about presenting some evidence <Det Daniels and Dismukes to go thru some things> without the jury present, I think.

Never seen a jury with so many personal requests before.

Me either, snowshuze. That is one of the things that makes me so uneasy about them.

Seems Jury is now in a hurry.....quick verdict?

  • #34
Defendants have the right to a speedy trial...there is nothing preventing the defense from dragging it out for years

  • #35
All these delays doesn't help either.

Prosecutor asked if his answer was being filmed. Judge ordered the camera off. RT @tony_simek: @wral Why off camera? #coopertrial

I would call it more of a fustercluck. And I'm still mad we missed the biggest moment of the trial.

Judge tells jury: I cannot give you an exact date that this will be over. #coopertrial

Not a good sign for defense, IMO. Time to think plea.
A plea would have to benefit both prosecution and defense. At this late date I don't see one on the table.
