I got my hair caught in the back my SUV

The key here is that it's YOUR SUV...a vehicle you drive and use and are in.

In this case there are 2 vehicles. If Nancy's hair is found in the trunk of Brad's car, by itself it's not a slam dunk, but it will look more suspicious than if they only had 1 vehicle that they both used.

I'm not sure. Last week I got my hair caught in the back my SUV where a part of the wheel well cover thing had cracked...when I went to pull the crack apart enough to pull my hair out...I have long hair...I cut the meaty part of my thumb area open and received 17 stitches. Blood and hair everywhere! I have a small bald spot now too :floorlaugh: Of course if no such injury or evidence of such an injury was witnessed by friends or family, doctor....I would expect that my hair and blood would be evidence of foul play and not an accident injury. Hair alone would mean nothing to me as I shed like a feline and my hair is all over my car and trunk probably in the wheel wells to as I am constantly fetching crap my kid rolls under the truck out from under the truck.

And see, that's what I'm saying... People can come up with a reason of why this happened and why that happened about each individual thing... It's the totality of it all together that matters. A tree fell in the forest and no one saw it fall. But it's still lying there, dead, and we have to take all the clues and see where most of them point. No one's going to convince me that BC was railroaded by CPD...there is no reason a force would do that and leave a menace on the streets. CPD has family, too!

I found it interesting just about everyone associated with this case moved to Cary NC from another state/country in the past 10 years. I reckon the old acronym for CARY is true....Containment Area for Relocated Yankees :D

(no offense)

Having VM on a system and configuring it on a VoIP system is not the same as accessing voicemail from a specific device. Accessing voicemail from a Blackjack if that is what he was using is not at all intuitive like say an iPhone. There is no "Check voicemail" button so if you don't use it or haven't used it in quite some time it could be difficult to do without looking it up.

Could he fake not knowing, of course.

I'm not trying to be obtuse. I'm trying to be very clear and exact.

If I had a loved one and they were accused of a murder they did not commit AND there was evidence linking them to the crime, I would (of course) feel horrible. I would fight for them. I would have to consider the possibility they were involved, but I wouldn't automatically assume they were. I would, naturally, have an emotional stake in them being innocent. And if they were factually innocent then I would do everything in my power to try and refute the evidence that was presented. I'm not saying innocent people don't get convicted--we know they do.

I'm saying that circumstantial evidence can be among the most powerful. And I'm also saying that the majority of murder cases don't have eyewitnesses or confessions.

I don't personally believe B.C. is getting railroaded in this case. I believe there will be evidence presented that ties him to the crime. I don't know what that evidence is (yet), but I believe there will be some presented.

I don't know that the CPD didn't look at others during the course of their investigation. Do you know for a fact they did not look at any other person as a possibility for doing this murder?

But that is the point...you are dead...there would be absolutely nothing you could do to ensure your innocent loved one or even your not so loved one got a fair trial. If your mouth overloaded your 🤬🤬🤬 for the sake of attention whoring during your living days...you may have just convicted an innocent man and served up a life sentence to two children because you were not responsible with your actions and the possible consequences. That is why it is so freaking important that the focus does not become so narrow so early on like it did in this case. I'm very interested to see the testimony of the 12, I think it was 12, individuals that reported having seen her running on the path that morning...why was that disregarded? Maybe you are right. Maybe the prosecution has something so damning that they could disregard all witnesses to her being out running that morning. I don't know. I'm just anxious to see what they have that would entitle them to disregard those who came forward. It better be something concrete and not that they found a hair of hers in his trunk. I bet we could all find a hair of each and every one of our family members in the trunk of our cars.

I hope you are right that clear evidence will be presented to tie him to this crime and not in some "most likely" way, but in a yeah..by gawd, he did it for sure way because it is scarey to think you could spend 2.5 years in jail lose everything, including your children, based on what we have seen so far.

I don't know what the CPD did in regards to other suspects. I, like everyone else, will not know until it is presented.

Oh, I agree. I am just sensing that some would not convict short of a video of BC dumping the the body. With all the circumstantial evidence presented and that still not being enough, I was wondering if blood in the trunk would be enough to tip the scales.

I understand ... I expect that Brad will be found guilty because he probably is guilty, but I haven't seen anything that convinces me of his guilt yet. Bad marriages don't mean murder, especially when both spouses are making a mess of the marriage. If fact, given that Brad and Nancy were both acting like they were single, I'm inclined to ignore all the "bad marriage" gossip. They functioned like roommates that didn't like each other. Brad was expected to provide for everyone, and he was threatened with losing his entire family. I'm sure he was angry.

I am definitely waiting to see some good solid evidence either way and get through this Desperate Housewives stuff. I just think if it comes down to the phone calls he may very well be cleared.

It is 16 and includes the woman from the custody hearing that notified police before her body was found, said she was less than 10 feet from her, and actually spoke to her (briefly) as she passed.

As much as I almost hate to say it...I almost feel like that community railroaded the CPD into seeking an indictment by any means possible. A tree falling in the woods, dead, of it's on accord is a far cry different than someone claiming it fell after they have been accused of cutting it down and ultimately finding out that it was the work of some ravenous beavers...

I hope that you are right and that it is not concluded that the CPD dropped the ball and left us all in danger for the sake of a popularity contest among the Cary elite.

The CPD gathers the evidence and sends it to the DA. The DA determines if there's enough evidence to get an indictment. The police dept, by themselves, did not have the power to get an indictment in this case. Without the DA saying "yes, we have enough evidence to move forward" there would have been no indictment.

Why do you think it took over 3 years for Jason Young to be arrested? Not because the Raleigh PD wanted to wait 3 years! The DA controls it and he made them wait and get more evidence before the case would move forward.

So when you are thinking it's the CPD who is 'railroading' Brad Cooper...you are really saying you think Colin Willoughby, Wake County DA is 'railroading' B.C. It all falls on him and his office.

Yes, it was not CPD's call to indict, no matter how bad they wanted Brad Cooper in jail.

Again, I find it fascinating that you know the players in this circle, but you sound so disparaging towards Nancy and so defensive of Brad!!! You use words like "whoring" and seem to want to dismiss where all the evidence is pointing...to an arrogant, self-centered, egotistical and controlling husband who had motive and opportunity, not to mention a hell of a lot of circumstantial evidence pointing at him. When a person goes missing and the police put the word out, hundreds of people call in with tips. The police have to have some sort of common sense and intuition to keep from chasing every single lead called in. We all use common sense and intuition on a daily basis to keep ourselves out of unsafe situations. Theres a reason Brad's in jail. I'm sorry if you liked him and just don't want to see him be guilty, or if you hated her, or if you were excluded from their circle. But less involved and more detached people are seeing a clearer picture here!

If he gets off, it will not be because he was "cleared" or innocent....imo.
It will be the jury felt the state did not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. At this point, that sad fact is quite possible.

rwesafe....you said you know one of the neighbors in the Lochmere neighborhood, correct?
Outside looking in via a friend ?

Brad sounds controlling of finances, but it is completely understandable why he resorted to such extremes. Nancy had enough money for groceries, gas and pocket money. If she chose to spend it on pedicures for a four year old and then complain that she couldn't afford gas, that's her mistake.

What circumstantial evidence has been introduced in court thus far supporting premeditated murder?

The tree did not fall of its own accord.

I think SG has done a really great job of pointing out circumstantial evidence, and we haven't even seen all they have yet.

"That's her mistake." ???

Am I the only one who thinks 27,000 on a single credit card in a year is insane?

I would put MYSELF on an allowance at that point.

We've seen very, very little at this point. The bulk of the case is yet to come. I too am very curious as to what they have and how they will prove their case. Right now it remains a mystery.... we'll just have to wait 'n see.

Depends.

How much income is that $27K against? What is included in that $27K? And, can the bill be paid off? If one has the money and the income and the cash flow, then $27K (I think you actually mean $24K) is not 'too much.' It's too much when one is unable to pay it off.
