Wow, that was misleading. Even the JUDGE thought that the items were found on the kitchen table.

  • #302
Detectives pulled that stuff from a closet and threw it on the table.

I remember when we were young and extremely romantic, we each burned our previous love-letters/notes from prior relationships. So they were found in the closet in Brad's office. Do many of you out there still have loveletters and notes from previous relationships if you are married for any length of time now? Just curious?

I agree that the way it was presented was misleading. I agree they are relevant and I think Zellinger just said he is going to clear up the confusion about where they were actually located in the house.

Forgive me mods, but HONESTLY the defense is WHINING.

Really? This was anything but whining. This is maybe the most relevant objection they made during this trial.

I love the judge! He brought out that the defense had slammed the CPD in their work on this case and the items go to proof that they did a thorough investigation. Good for him!
Even if the notes are 20 years old, Brad should not still have them in his possession!

Seriously. I do believe that is misleading. As Kurtz stated, even the Judge was misled here. He'll clear it up on cross, I'm sure, but damage has been done.

  • #307
WOW...judge was pizzed that Kurtz opened with CPD being inept . He will allow more than enough by state to show that was not the case. Good job judge.

  • #308
Judge allowing in part because defense claims Cary PD botched the investigation and they (prosecution) have the right to painstakenly detail and lay out all evidence in light of that assertion.

I wonder if Jen Windsor is the correct name of the person BC spoke of in the deposition where he named her Jennifer WILSON and we have been led to believe that was a name given incorrectly, and probably on purpose.

I was speaking to the tone of his voice, lol.

See my previous comment. I also know that my wife has stuff still from a previous marriage. Some people just keep stuff, if for no other reason than it reflects a period of time in their life.

The closet right beside the computer....LOL..Why would Brad bring these notes or letters from Calgary supposedly stemming back pre-relationship with Nancy????? Give me a break..no move would bring cr#)lla with them in a new marriage??

to this amazing guy who has me completely smitten <hang on I gotta barf>

Seriously, how many married people keep notes from old flames?? Or let me rephrase that... how many HAPPILY married people keep such? I realize I have been married 31 years but this just helps further paint the clear picture of Brad Cooper.

  • #315
he reads the notes too fast for me to quote :(

  • #316
Defense just got B-Slapped by the Judge because they have been trying to indicate that the CPD was not conducting a detailed investigation.... digging up this old stuff shows that they were pretty careful in their search....

  • #317
I have no previous relationship momentos. Nothing matters but the one I'm WITH.

All I recall, it was thanking Brad for an amazing evening the night before..and she left some sort of number sounded like a phone number..

That's what I was thinking too.
