But you can't ignore all of that. You have a call from the home phone to his cell phone with him walking into HT a minute later. The prosecution HAS to prove he spoofed that call.

I don't see all 12 jurors insisting on that proof for conviction.

I agree. All they have to do is prove that it could be done added together with all the other evidence. (If they ever show us any.)

Exactly. The jury can dismiss the 6:40 call as Nancy being alive as long as the state shows Brad could have easily done it. Of course, they still need some solid evidence he did it.

I have a land line at home, but still use my cell because it's on my person and because of the speed dial or easy phone look-up & dial, and most of my friends call my cell b/c my phone # is on that for a quick call. If I'm not at home (and BC wasn't home that much) my cell will get me wherever (almost) that I yam.

I agree. If it was found for instance in the drawer in that foyer table where her other stuff was, I could easily believe she tossed everything in there before she went out for a run.

I think the necklace is a non-issue. If it was broken, I believe it would have been introduced by now.

Have to say..I disagree. If that necklace is broken...it tells a story. It is a personal item of Nancy's....can bring the focus back to her life...her wearing that necklace and it being ripped off her neck and she is strangled and fights for her life. If I were the State....I would save the necklace for last.

The murderer always misses something though, don't they? In cases like this, they always find evidence. I can't believe they ignored the shop vac after learning how clean the trunk was. Does that make any sense?

Not a bit of sense, unless the vac was empty -- then they should have looked for trace, but yes, that was a blunder on their part if nobody checked it. Yeah, it seems like a possible treasure trove to me. I haven't heard that anybody checked it. Yet.

I believe my wife still has letters/cards from her high school sweetheart who she moved away from 2 years before going to college. We've been married 21 years.

Without dates on those cards/letters in Brad's closet there is no telling when they are from. I wouldn't be surprised if calgary123 or whatever knew some of these people. This is completely prejudicial.

So without dates, how can you tell they are prejudicial ? What if some were from 2 weeks before Nancy died ? Still prejudicial or actually pointing to motive?

Emptied it where? That would have had to be very well hidden, buried even. And unless he cleaned the inside of it out, traces of whatever he vacuumed out should have still been inside.

If he dumped a body, surely he would have had the nerve (and the time) to dump probably a couple of trash bags in dumpsters in the dark.

Further, if was gonna bury something, I'd advise burying the body. But that's just me.

Thus far, it has not been established NC wore the necklace at all times. Is it possible NC broke it somehow and BC brought it to work with intention of having it repaired for her?

But IIRC, it was found in his desk at home -- but I certainly could have that part wrong.

Honestly, we don't know where it was found. I assumed it was in the desk drawer in the foyer.

Just a guess on my part but based on the way the prosecution brought it up and based on the way the defense wanted to "pooh-pooh" it, I'm betting someone heard a juror say that they don't think Brad is guilty.

When I heard the defense refer to the email as "vague" my first thought was that they wanted to keep this witness.
I'm thinking that this juror probably said the pros has nothing on Brad which is what many of us here were starting to wonder about until the last couple of days.

All 12 don't have to insist on that proof. Only 1 has to and it's hung at best if they can't prove it.

And we've been able to talk about all of this with anyone on this board or anyone else. The jury is probably so full of fuzz and info, that they are nearly bursting taking notes & writing down phone numbers and 2 BMW's, and very near neighbors, infidelities, milk, shoes, passports, towers, unpaid water bills, VM, milk, etc, etc. etc they're likely to have an altogether different kind of seizure... Can you imagine?

I'll say it again....coupon shopping could have changed all this. I just got back from my latest trip to HT. Got $54 worth of stuff for $0.50 (50 cents). That included 3 half gallons of Smart Balance skim milk. It's lactose free and says on the carton that it tastes like 2% (my 2 year old would agree since she'll drink it but not skim). So that would have worked for both NC and KC.

I have listened to all the testimony, and I've read all the posts. I'm intrigued by all the phone record discussion, too.

After the day ended, I was mulling over what had been said, and I remembered Zellinger quizzing the ATT expert regarding cell towers and discussing calls from July 11. They went through the list of each call and identified them on the map of the towers, until they got to a call made at 11:32 pm on July 11, and when Zellinger asked which tower it hit, there was some confusion, followed by Zellinger saying, "We'll just skip that call for now."

Think about it. The call was made at 11:32 on July 11. According to the prosecution's original theory (or at least the direction they were going) Brad killed Nancy right when she got home shortly after midnight. They know who was called and what tower was involved. I wonder if it's significant at all. :waitasec:

No. I would go out of my mind! I talk to my husband about this stuff (and he politely pretends to be listening.) Sometimes I just need to share! I can't imagine being on the jury and being able to say nothing!
