Every case that I've followed has had some bizarre theory in defense of the accused. Just about anything is possible but it doesn't make it probable or even reasonable.

I think you are quite out of bounds accusing Kurtz of lying. A lawyer would lose their license for intentionally lying in court.

I'm reminded of Mark Garagos, in his opening statement, insisting he would produce the REAL KILLER of Laci Peterson & all those eye-witnesses who saw her out walking the dog the day she disappeared. Neither of which ever happened in the defenses case in chief. All Mark produced were numerous witnesses to Snotty's 'good golf game'. :great:

This is one of the oldest tricks known to mankind. It is just like the Psychics on TV. A witness saw a van with hispanics? .

I found a link that lists all the video's of each days testimony ......should I post it here or is there a link thread where it should go??

If someone could direct me to which day is when that video of the house inside and out posted??..For those who believe descriptions of front yard being manicured..:floorlaugh: I love to show a picture of the front yard...In fact, I didnt see much of any grass, let alone any garden there..Anyway TYIA

Okay I stand corrected..there was indeed grass and bushes...anyway I found the video taken by CCBI Agent Thomas Como...Exterior of house is shown including the backyard ( junk yard appearances to me..sorry)...but also more importantly the interior state is shown...at this point Nancy had not been in that house for 4 days..Brad's neatness and orderly daily living is quite apparant...
Day 9 of Trial part 2:
http://www.wral.com/specialreports/nancycooper/video/9309694/#/vid9309694
Taken at 9AM July 16th,2008
Please note there is no indication that Brad had done any cooking..not one dish, platter or food noted only one lonely knife on the counter..tho tables were covered in papers, boxes, items of clothing...

GENERAL NOTICE TO ALL ON WS.

YOU ARE SPECIFICALLY FORBIDDEN TO VIEW MY HOUSE OR GROUNDS.

I fear that it would make BC's look great by comparison. I travel a lot for work and have companies hired to mow and fertilize my lawn, and it still looks horrible.

The inside, well, it does not look all that bad (for a place that has been ransacked by the Mongol army)

If you are talking about Brad's Depo..He was talking about his cleaning before she came home with the kids from her trip to visit with parents and sister...
This video was taken 16th July, and she was missing since July 12th, and found on July 15th or evening of 14th..sorry cant recall each date by day of week....But my point was his housemaking skills were obviously lacking...even the kids things werent as bad...IF he doesnt take care of his own stuff..I cant imagine how he'd tidy up after the kids??????????????

I'd say he ate out or ordered in..cant imagine him cooing means for himself and the kids..I wish they had shown what was in the refridgerator..I'll bet it was empty!! Just a guess tho..

Oh oh, are you sure it wasn't a van full of Hawaiian/Hispanic illegals who did the ransacking? :floorlaugh:

BTW, Kurtz is not obligated in any way to back up anything he said in his opening statement. Rest assured, he told numerous untruths, imo.

I'm pretty sure SG could post a list of said "untruths" for us.

Hmmm....do we actually have confirmed proof (evidence/testimony) that there were any untruths in the defense's opening? Or, just speculation? I can't think of anything off hand that has been categorically proven as false... [ several things not yet proven true of course, but nothing that has been proven false... ]

Yea, "lie" was a bit harsh.
Put it this way....I doubt very seriously he will call any witnesses that saw a van of Hispanics.

I think he *will* call this witness. He named the person and I believe the man made a police statement. I can't remember the guy's name but it is in the opening statement. I will go back and listen again.

I don't know how you can dismiss this and laugh and joke about it, all of you.

ETA: Curtis Hodges is the witness who claims to have seen the van following her slowly. The police didn't question him for 2 months.

It wouldnt be a surprise to see a van in any neighbourhood, red, blue or white. That appears to have been a very busy bustling neighbourhood with lots of vehicles parking on the street etc...But the hard part is why snatch a women jogging, in bare feet, take her a few blocks away, have their way with her..Was it noted she had been gang raped by the ME?? didnt catch that testimony..and then leave the body sporting what sounds to be very expensive earings??? Unlike Shondra Levy case, Nancy's remains were not in a state they couldnt detect that sort of assault..

Somehow, the detailed description of Nancy going out to jog and with someone ( CC) etc doesnt ring true..Sorry too..as I missed the first few days of trial..Did CC testify to plan to jog with Nancy that morning?..

Too many holes in Brads story about that whole day..July 12th..

He had just lost his wife. Was he supposed to be preparing elaborate meals? I don't understand the food related discussions here.

I'll bet if they filmed dishes, y'all would say "look, he must not be upset. Look at all the food he's preparing".

What is the point of this? I just don't understand how any of this paints a picture of a murderer. It's almost as if, they haven't provided any proof so you all are grasping at straws trying to say something that makes him look suspicious and it's led to discussions of food and a messy house.

It wasn't just that there was a van in the neighborhood, let's try to stick with facts. The witness claims it was following her slowly and even did a u-turn when she went down another road.

There is no proof of rape, it was inconclusive so it doesn't mean it didn't occur.

Could you please list the holes in his story that day. Facts, not opinions. ie. he should have gone for the milk at 4AM. That is not a hole in his story.

I never mentioned elaborate meals...maybe a pot for soup, or bowls from cereal, or dishes from eating anything..This was 9AM..with 2 kids and absoutely no sign of regualr kitchen or bathroom usage by either himself or the kids....Its called, regular behavior...upset or not he was responsible to care for those kids.....I am thinking with the right side of my brain I guess..and no, it doesnt prove he a murderer..It will no doubt go along with the rest of the circumstantial evidence...

BTW..It was Brad who brought up the messy house thingy..and that they had a fight about it.(upon the return from her trip)..so yes messy house was one of the elements of discourse in their marriage..so it seems..

Geregose promised witnesses that saw this same BS....guess what, he didn't produce a single one.

Kurtz knows such a 'witness' will be shred in a zillion pieces on cross.
It will never happen, imo.
It was simply opening drama.

I do not wish to get into arguments..It is my opinion at this point since we do not have all the facts at this time..I am not on the jury, so can opine utilizing my own lifes experiences..and await the computer forensics that will prove or disprove some further Brad's claims...at this point, it is a puzzle with pieces scattered all over...and my particular puzzle arrangments so far dont quite add up to Brad's portrayal..at least what I have read about or heard on video...So, guess us two dont have anything to discuss, opine about, or speculate about since in your particular eyes I dont know the facts..:seeya:

I totally agree. I Just pictured myself involved like her and besides the fact that it's scarier than anything I could ever imagine, to be watching the case (and the friends just have to be, right?) and seeing the prosecution hasn't proven much yet and then hearing someone out in public supposedly say those remarks would make my blood boil. Again, I agree she is screwing things up but on the other hand I see where she is coming from and personally I am starting to think he will go free because this does not seem organized and its freaking me out.

‎Sorry, I guess I skipped through too many pages, but can you give me some insight as to what else she has done? I didn't watch much of the trial and skipped through alot to catch up. (I may end up finding my answer down the road).

I can't help but feel that there is a 'method to the maddness'

I have not seen pictures of the networking equipment, but unless he was using some of the higher end Cisco stuff, it was all on the same network. It might have been connected via several switches and/or routers, and could have had multiple access points, although they would not be needed, but it was still a single network.

Now, if you are using commercial grade equipment you can create a virtual network (VLAN) inside the same physical network. They are separated and cannot see each other normally, but if they are tied together at a single point, like to the Internet connection, they are still a single network.

If it helps you to understand this better, the Internet is large and has a lot of different networks, but it is still a single network.

Trust me I understand networking VERY well. During testimony they zoomed in on the equipment under his desk which was a Cisco 871W wireless router and Cisco Aironet Wireless Access Point. You could very clearly see the number of ethernet connections and antennas connected. I guarantee he had more than one network connected there.

VLANs are one way of creating multiple networks NAT is another and both can very easily be done on the 871

The internet is not a single network it is a series of networks connected together.

I'm sorry, I did not mean to upset you. We're all here trying to figure this out and we all have different methods, so I'm not discounting what you are saying.

Ohhhh Myyy We sure do have some really "Geeky" (said with :heartbeat:) folks here!!

Now since I tend to simplify things abit..I really want to know what Def. said in their opening regarding the Cooper's internet services?? Was it Kurtz who claimed someone hacked their computer??..Hummmming until we get the computer forensics testified to in court..and of course look to you Geeky ones to 'splain :woohoo:
