Perhaps it could have been canvas. I saw this one listed at $4.68 on Lowe's website. That gets us a bit closer to the $4.90. I know from past experience that prices on their website vary from what's in store and region to region as well.

Well, the jumbled mass of platic inside that Home Depot bag appeared to be a beige tint of plastic....Maybe that was an item with tax included..I know he paid cash for it.

And he was in shorts and a t-shirt later in the day. What is the point? Again, 76-70 degrees in the morning would feel cool when it is upper 90s in the afternoon.

Yep and the detectives noticed red marks on his neck.

What are trying to prove here?

ETA Okay, I know we're trying to prove BC is guilty, but what's all this HT evidence prove?

  • #244
On 2nd visit to HT:

1. Different shoes (open toe shoes on 2nd visit vs sneakers on 1st visit)
2. Jacket is now open
3. Defendant coming through doors sideways...like he's trying to squeeze through
4. 6:42:51am time BC goes to the register.

In my opinion, this supports the defense opening statements. He went home, took off his shoes at the front door. Took off the pullover. Was sent back to the store by NC. He put the pullover back on, went out the garage door and put on the flip flops since they were at that door. Not sure the point of #3 (not from you...from the prosecution).

Do we know if there are any surveillance videos of the parking lot? There are several businesses in that strip, so you'd think there would be a camera that could see the parking lot.:waitasec:

I still think going to Lowe's Foods would have been a faster trip from their home, albeit not as cool as the HT. :rocker:

The coopers didn't normally throw away shoes, now did they?

But didn't photograph them. I guess I don't understand your point. Are you suggesting he wore a pullover in the morning to the store because he was afraid of marks on his necks, yet wasn't afraid of those in the afternoon when talking to the police?

I wonder if there was a legal reason as to why they couldn't photograph it. Perhaps they needed a SW and at that time she was just missing.

I would find it suspicious if those shoes were thrown away. JY said they didn't confiscate them. But that doesn't mean they weren't there. They didn't have this video on 7/12 to see which shoes he was wearing. So saying they weren't found is a bit ridiculous unless you say when you went looking for them.

Obviously you've never had your AC go out in the middle of summer! :) 70 degrees on a July morning, never, to me anyway, feels cool. I remember in early Sept., after losing power from hurricane Fran, trying to sleep in hot, muggy weather for days on end. I am NOT a summer person. :(

Think he could go on wearing this winter gear when it was 90????
He had to take that chance by then and he lost.
CPD not taking the photo was stupid.

No. They just said they didn't do it. They never asked him to.

Which Lowe's Foods (not to be confused with Lowes hardware for non-locals)? The one at Kildaire and TenTen would be much farther away than Harris Teeter.

That looks closer to what was pictured in the bag in the garage.

Was the dumpster @ HT searched?

Were the shoes worn on first trip collected?

Seems in the foyer photo this morning one of BC's sandals was shown.

Seemed to be in more of a hurry second time. Could indicated irritation with the fact he was just at this store less than 20 mins ago...

I can't eat before running. I did a half marathon a week ago and ate/drank nothing when when I woke up before the race. I didn't drink anything until mile 8. Then ate pizza right after the run (provided by the race). No way I would eat anything before running.

My hubby ran the same race (only he did the full marathon) and we got up a little after 5 am and he ate a big bowl of oatmeal with fruit and nuts and drank some protein drink. (My point is that eating before a run is a very personal preference...)

BTW, how'd you do in the half? It was perfect weather for a long run, IMO, and hubby PR'd! :great:

JMO, but I was thinking more along the lines of them fearing Brad would lawyer up immediately, the way Jason Young did, and they would lose anything and everything they could possibly hope to get in the house/garage/ etc.

No, there's another Lowe's Foods at Cary Pkwy and Tryon. He would have passed it as he made the left onto Tryon heading to HT. I missed part of the video when they were talking about the direction his car was heading. Did they assume he came up Tryon to Kildaire Farm Rd?

JY used the shoes 11/06 and they finally found the details of the shoes 12/07.
Sorry, your statement makes no sense...unless you think it would be normal to ditch perfectly good shoes the following week?

This is just an educated guess..but it appears they are trying to show that Brad was attempting to create an alibi for that time period..Given the tracking of all the calls and Brad's claim that Nancy called him that morning before Nancy went jogging....

My only issue with Brad's alibi..Didnt he say in his depo or statement, that he was with Katie upstairs and didnt see Nancy leave??? yet here jogging shoes were found in place under the hallway bureau??..

and Nancy was found without shoes??..not to mention most of her clothing:cry:
