I explained the difference between the .cur and the .bmp files a couple of times this weekend. No one liked the answer then either. Here is a link to that posting if you want the details.

I read all of your prior posts. I am seeing different things on an XP system and on a Windows 7 system. I am trying to duplicate your results and have trouble doing that. I am trying to determine what is different between my configs and yours. I as a rule prohibit IE except when required for things like maybe updates. I actually ban Windows in most cases.

I am trying to duplicate your results. We could take this to private messages to compare systems, and thus we could avoid cluttering the main thread. I have tried this after emptying cache, in a new account, etc. I must be missing something obvious.

ETA: Do you have any invalid timestamps in your tests?

That wasn't the point being made though. The point was that because "there is no evidence, people have to be emotionally pulled...."

1. There is evidence, even though people continue to deny its existence.

2. The body itself is also evidence.

Just because I feel there is an extreme lack of evidence it doesn't mean that I am a cold, heartless, b@#@#. Of course I feel terrible about what happened to NC. I have 2 daughters that are almost the exact ages as her little girls. My heart breaks for all of her family and friends. It is unbearable to even think about.

I am not emotionally cold just because I feel that there is enough reasonable doubt in this case, that I don't feel BC should be convicted. I am speaking with my mind, not my heart

Wild theory: BC was informed by JP & HM that KP was suing HM for Alienation of affection. So the idea BC made to Mrs. R in reference to suing was not his own. JP & HM informed BC that KP also planned to include NC in this and the only $ NC had was BC's. NC could then sue HM. Oy Vey.

BTW...Where is Brad's brother? Where does he live and what is his career/job?

REALLY OFF TOPIC: What would eat marigold leaves???? YUCK!

He's a computer geek that works at a college in Southern Alberta.

There is a faction that will discount LE investigations that finger the dh just to insist that because the significant other is the first suspect that LE won't look any further. That is true, but there is a reason for that. If they can't rule him/her out, they have to keep looking there.

But what did they use to TRY and rule him out? Footprints at the scene? Not taken. DNA in the car, none found. Blood stains on ANYTHING ANYWHERE, none found. If not finding ANY physical evidence about ANYTHING does not "rule out" a suspect, what the heck DOES?

LOL, that was funny (and I'm also being sincere).

So is your main point that BC had a fling with the French woman?

I'm not sure if there was an actual fling, but there was definitely some sort of attraction. An actual affair between BC and that woman wouldn't surprise me.

GOOD!

Yep...

Me either...

The fact that this was totally random? that is huge, imo. totally random does not rule out BC in my mind.

He continued to chat with a woman in Paris, that does not a murderer make.

Not evidence of murder, but it certainly goes to "state of mind"...

Good for you! (That is sincere....)

However, when you return from, just an example, Texas, do you get a guitar and start singing "The Yellow Rose of Texas"? Practice your Southern dialect? Suggest to your spouse you relocate to the great state? Do you carry on an email/phone correspondence (personal) with the women you meet, without your spouses knowledge? I think what happens after the trip is even more important....

You know what? Now that I am thinking about it - yes, I am still in contact with quite a few people I have met on my business trips. And, nope, I haven't discussed the phone coversations or emails with my spouse. Afterall, like I said, I did nothing wrong and continue to do nothing wrong. Just because someone is flirtatious with someone of the opposite sex it does not mean they are automatically having sexual relations.

Granted, I am not as friendly with the people I met, as BC was with this French woman, but, again, I personally don't think he did anything really wrong here. Both NC and BC had other indiscretions that were so far worse than this, that I really don't put this one even in the same category.

As far as him saying he wanted to relocate to France. Both men and women say a lot of stupid stuff they don't mean at times. Hey - they may even embellish what they say at times to make it look better. I don't think he really meant he'd pick up and move to France.

It is such a shame that this community was so loose and that give the defense so much leeway to insinuate reasonable doubt. Who have they shown that would have a motive? There was egrigious sex going on, but which one would have any reason to get rid of her? No one, but BC at this point. jmo

GOOD!

Yep...

Me either...

BC as Pepe Le Pue?

And the song, Secret Lover, has been playing in my head all day...after listening to chunks of Pearson.

Not evidence of murder, but it certainly goes to "state of mind"...

I thought of that too. But if BC did not want to pay NC, and wasn't interested in the kids, isn't running off to France the perfect solution? In France he could duck out on any alimony and child support. And be with this woman he was so attracted to. Wouldn't that be easier than murder?:waitasec:

JP for one. He was staring down a HUGE financial loss (back and current child support), and NC has a HUGE reason to hold against him. To begin with, as mentioned, she loses all alimony chances due to the proof of the affair (as a BABY would prove sexual intercourse), so her trying to quiet him down could have backed him into a corner.

Seems he has the SAME "motive" given to BC for the murder, financial loss and being backed into a corner.

But as they got further into the investigation, after those first several weeks and weren't finding evidence and had proof that he received a call from his home that morning, they should have taken a strong look at other possibilities. They really dropped the ball.

We just don't know that, since the CPD failed to invesigate this crime any further after they put their eyes on BC from the very begining. There very well could be someone else with motive, but it is not up to the defense to figure this out. It WAS up to the prosecution and CPD to investigate the crime thoroughly rather than put all of their eggs in 1 basket, even without any concrete evidence.

You do remember somebody murdered nancy, right? I wish the autopsy photos were allowed to be posted here, to put some perspective on what we are discussing here.

That is what you wrote. So, explain to me how putting up autopsy pictures of NC's body would sway others into believing BC murdered her, with (in my opinion) the lack of evidence?

I AM aware that victim's body is considered evidence. But, I still don't understand what point you are trying to drive home.

this is exactly what my post was meant to address:

posted earlier:

I am finding the defense's case so far a lot more interesting than the prosecutions' case. The prosecutions' seemed to drag on forever. The defenses' seems to be moving along quite faster and is a lot more entertaining. Can't wait til the Cary Clique is brought back on the stand. It will be like watching a real episode of Real Housewives.

=========

This isn't entertainment, it isn't an episode of a TV program. Nor is it a sporting event. It's about the terrible murder of a young mother. The circumstantial evidence has been listed and relisted numerous tiimes. I see no reason to repost it yet again. Somehow Nancy cooper has been reduced to a sordid cliche in all this IMO.

JP. He was very concerned about his children and reputation along with his livelihood. He was upset with Nancy for spreading something negative about him. He had questioned paternity. He had just as much opportunity as BC. Lied about being in contact with NC. His behavior when talking to police was extremely suspicious, inconsistent, and he attempted to twist what he said in those interviews today on the stand.

Wyn,

Since you where answering my posts, and I'm apparently missing your point, my fault.

But what exactly is the defenses time-line other than them saying NC was alive until at least 7 AM when she went jogging and was then murdered sometime later than that.

How does JP's alibi of watching his children alone after 7 AM rule him out????

I don't know that he was alone. Maybe someone can answer that question, don't remember if it was in his testimony. I would hope he wouldn't have taken his children along with him if he DID kill NC, not that I think he did.

Just watching JP's testimony now. Seeing his body language during the first interview is very telling, especially when talking about NC being dead. Other thing I noticed so far, he said on the next morning he went around asking all of the usual people he sees on his (their) route whether they saw NC and says he explained to the "We lost our friend." Odd thing to say that you lost a 34 year old woman, unless of course you're talking about lost as in death. Back to the tapes....
