So why do you think he searched that site before his wife's body was dumped there?

I'm not comfortable with the evidence that he searched. There is no cookie or watermark, the dates on the files are screwy. And frankly, I don't think BC would be stupid enough to do that search on his work computer knowing that the browser would maintain a history.

I definately don't think he slept on it. IMO, he went home and grumbled and festered about it and was really really angry when she got home. It would probably start with him making snide comments that, if they were already in "hate" mode, she was probably defensive in her speech back to him (and I would be).
I don't think he meant to kill her initially but I think he got to a point where he had seriously injured her and that he thought if he DIDN'T kill her, he'd be in serious trouble when she was able to escape and tell someone. I don't think he would have laid in wait for her to come home, you know, with a shoelace in hand that he had decided earlier that he would strangle her with. I think he finally lost total control.

He would have been absolutely LIVID at being corrected in front of other people at the BBQ. They were probably already on edge if they had been fighting earlier in the day and anything at all that was coming out of her mouth, he was getting more and more agitated by it. He would be storing each and every word in the little backpack in his mind to bring out later to use against her. He wouldn't say anything at the time of the BBQ but later on, he would regurgitate all of it and start a fight. That was his way. Sulk and pout and then when a fight does start, typically with his little snarky comments, he rolls out everything that he's been holding in.

This is the type of witness the Pros should have brought forth. A pattern of what he is capable of.

This was 1 part of the main focus in the custody case. I sat thru the entire case and learned so much about this type of personality. No one would ever see this side of him unless they lived behind the 4 walls and were controlled by him. I think it is an important aspect of the case, but it wasn't presented.

This is one of these things that makes me think that some want to believe what they want to believe. In testimony, there is an instant message chat log. In that log, Brad says that he had taken a 3825 home. It's not a guess. It's not a mistake in a database. It has nothing to do with when something was shipped. It is Brad saying that he took home a 3825. The records indicated that only two 3825's had been ordered and delivered to that lab. One has been found. One is missing. That's the evidence.

But the defense produces a document that shows another CISCO test group "UCBU" has a router with that exact same serial number and the router they have was received from the mfg in Sept 2008... it throws GM's testimony/inventory into question. And, the fact that his inventory database is not updated when equipment is borrowed by an employee and physical inventories are not periodically performed tells me that GM can't state with any certainty where that piece of equipment went after 1/2008 and that BC may have actually returned it as he said he would.

If BC had returned that router, Greg M. would have known about it since it was his job to keep track of their equipment. He struck me as a guy who does a good job at work. Honest, forthright, detailed, follows through. It was an $11K router and not a tiny little piece of something. BC told him he borrowed that router. Documented!

If it's missing it's because Brad Cooper got rid of it on July 12th.

Let's not forget that a witness from Cisco was prepared to testify that this same 3825 router was found in a log file to be connected to BC computer on the night of July 11, 2008. The jury didn't hear this evidence, but we know about it. BC had that router; there is no question about that.

With or without her, he was still going to have to provide for his kids so I don't see money as a motivator. I don't believe he was backed in a corner financially. Neither of them seemed in a big rush to move the divorce along.

I think to get a dui, you have to have .2, something like that (not sure so don't quote me). The witnesses from the party said she was buzzed and some said she had as many as 6 drinks and was drinking up until she left the party. So, being conservative and estimating that she had a BAC of .10, if she was killed when she got home, the BAC at autopsy should have been .16 at least.

(the ME explained the .06 could have been due to decomposition)

The legal limit in NC is .07.

Under North Carolina DWI law, you may not test over .07%, which is to say 08% is considered Driving While Impaired.

I agree that GM seems like a standup guy but ... he has no way of knowing if BC returned that piece of equipment and he doesn't know where it was between 1/2008 and last Monday because he doesn't do periodic physical inventories.
