But HP wasn't a random tipster, right? HP was required to give excruciating detail that was more relevant to the case than where to construction workers choose to stand on a Saturday morning. Also of note, in the original report by the Fielding Dr. lady, it was a work van. Years on it seems to be not a work van. Was it a work van or wasn't it? Is her memory better now than then?

It's just hard to believe this is what our DA's office has for ammo.

Edit, sorry, I mean defense attorney no district attorney. This is all fairly new to me.

There is nothing in evidence that she said it was a work van, the officer may have written that down when she said Hispanics. The CPD even made a typo between "short sleeve" and "long sleeve."

Why does that matter?

'cause it's hell getting old. and you can see GREAT at distance - but anything closer than about 18 inches is diabolically blurry.

this witness was persistent in getting her story heard. still not relevant, because she only got a glance of someone she has never met.

  • #405
She has her dates and times straight, it's the DA who is confused. He is really making himself look bad.

She stated that she was clothed in light shirt, dark shorts.

Then - when she heard Nancy Cooper was found in a jogging bra - she said "that's what she was wearing!" or "that's what they wear" - that seemed to trigger a different memory than the initial description.

much ado about nothing. disgruntled witness......kept calling and calling and calling.

Glasses, even reading glasses means she has vision issues.IMO.

Many people who need reading glasses can see quite well at medium and long distances. The fact the she uses reading glasses does not mean that she needed glasses to be able to clearly see the jogger. As far as I'm concerned, her use of reading glasses is completely insignificant.

He's trying to trip her up.

Long time WS here, I have not had nerve to post, just wondering why this one thing is so important to you? Do you think that HP killed Nancy, do you think this is just an honest mistake on her part? I have two pairs of diamond earrings (tiny ones so I am not bragging) both pairs have screw backs, my 9 year old daughter got her ears pierced for her birthday, she got cubic zirconia earrings, hers have screw backs, I might assume that all diamond-ish earrings have screwbacks and say the same thing. Does that make me a suspect?

HP stated as fact, under oath, that they were screwbacks, if she was unsure, or if it was an assumption based on the earrings being diamond she should not have stated it as being fact.

She could pick out Detective Daniels and not the others?

  • #412
Sorry, I think she is just needing attention. She just said she could only pick out Det Daniels. So there ya go. She hasn't pointed out Krista.

  • #413
She's pretty solid, saying she kept calling because she was worried she was hurt.

  • #414
LOL.. Don't get Nancy Grace involved.

  • #415
I had a bunch of business cards, but no one came to see her??????

  • #416
Good grief!!! This isn't about her!! She's irritating me, now.

  • #417
IMHO, this witness has an attitude with the pros.

JMHO

He's trying to trip her up.

The defense had already done that without trying. Twice she indicated that on Sunday she said, "I saw her jogging this morning!"

The interview with Rosemary came three months after she saw the jogger. It was not a routine follow-up. It was just prior to her testifying for the custody case. It was not followup while Nancy was still missing, or really before the CPD had decided who was responsible.

Successfully continuing today's narrative that the CPD failed to thoroughly investigate relevant information that did not implicate BC.

I'm one of those who believes the state has not proven BC guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I think this is a nice lady and she is being honest. But she's confused, and she's angry about people not listening to her or taking her seriously. And the ADA is doing a great job of showing that in a nice way on cross.
