I wonder if she'll flirt with the defendant again while she's on the stand.:loveyou:

:puke:

Well...we'll see. Wasn't her testimony before the other witness testimony that showed he was also messing around on her as well? She might not now be so giddy about being the mistress as she was initially.

IMO

Roger Smith JR never opened his mouth about this case, ever.
We have no idea if he advised JLY to talk to LE with him present....betcha he did.

Given that we are assuming JY is a faithful adherent to the supposed legal advice given him by his attorney, I can't help but wish he had seen the attorney BEFORE he murdered his wife, as the attorney likely would have said, "In addition to telling people never to say anything to anyone ever, I also advise you not to murder innocent people," and this trial would never have had to take place.

I am still floored by the bank statement with Pat? And the $17000 check! But no heat for his wife and child. On a trip with another woman a month before. what a <selfmodsnip>

I think BH should just take the rest of the case off.
Howard is so much better with his questioning.

I love how HC calls them "short pants."

  • #307
Excellent...finally focusing on what was not in his luggage.
That was missed last trial for some odd reason

He took all this sports type clothes on a business trip? No dark colored shirt with a light/white stripe on the chest?

Good question and I agree to a certain extent, but then I remember people who seemed to have motive who were deemed the culprit and then it was discovered that it wasn't that person at all. It was someone else and for reasons that we were not aware of. (Police officer was convicted years ago of murdering mistress. Motive seemed apparent. Later discovered by admission that another person was guilty. I can't recall the state. Some here may recall.) Sometimes things are not as they appear. I'm just trying to look at all angles.

That was the reason for my question. As far as I know, Michelle didn't have a lover so that is out. One of Jason's scorned lovers, perhaps? I just don't see any other perps who would brutally murder a pregnant woman with another child inside the home. Yes we have had women who were murdered for their unborn child but there is no evidence of that here and she was only 5 months, IIRC.

Then we have the no physical evidence pointing to Jason so I'm stumped. I still believe he hired someone.

Ooops....condoms when he had a pregnant wife at home.....

Imagine what a coincidence!

The very night JY allegedly fixes his hotel room door so he wouldn't need a key to reenter, thus no reenter evidence of his room when he was definitely seen after the first arrival entry to his hotel room,.............he allegedly used a twig to keep the exit door propped open, therefore it wasn't him who coincidentally propped the door open a while later with a rock, that was removed by a hotel employee when noticed in the early morning hours,

And that coincidentally someone unplugged the cameras in the hallway that coincidentally JY needed to reenter his hotel room. Then coincidentally someone AGAIN moved the camera's viewing by turning the camera, so AGAIN JY couldn't be seen leaving his hotel room in the morning.,..

And coincidentally MY was murdered on that SAME night.

And coincidentally, JY's clothes he wore in the hotel lobby, were NOT in his suitcase, his car, his anything, and JY had to coincidentally borrow a friends shoes, all, coincidentally on the night that an unknown assailant came to the Young home and brutally murdered MY and baby.

Then we are to believe that coincidentally the newspaper person who saw all the lights on at the Young home early the morning MY was murdered and that it was a coincidence a car matching JY's auto description was someone else,

And that the coincidence that the store clerk recognized JY as the person who cussed at her and threw $$ at her and left without getting his change, all within 45 minutes of the Young residence shortly after the time MY was to have been murdered, was wrong..........oh, and that coincidentally she's wrong also when she said the customer that fateful morning was driving a vehicle which coincidentally matched the defendants?

I guess I'm wrong then, when I come to the conclusion there's no way in heck could all of these COINCIDENCES just so happen on the very night MY is killed. I won't even take into consideration the computer searches of head trauma and strangulation, which was the two causes contributing to MY's COD.

Or the coincidence that JY was having a full blown affair with one of MY's alleged freinds...........

Or that coincidentally, out of three pregnancies MY had, the only surviving child, prior to birth, JY was insisting MY get an abortion....

So, although many LE say there's no coincidence when it comes to murder, yet in this case, the defense wants us to believe that there was how many coincidences in this particular case that come to a perfect storm and an innocent man is being accused of murder?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, let me see now,
fran

PS......Could I ask a show of hands, who of us, IF we were completely INNOCENT, would NOT talk to LE until compelled to after all those many months, and only because without the testimony, you'd be in prison for the rest of your life on something you didn't do?

You refused to testify in a court suit, with the possibility you'd loose custody of your only child?

You would withhold filing for a $1M life insurance policy award, because if you did you'd most likely have to appear in court if the insurance provider objected, because you were a POI in your spouses murder?

I mean, if you were innocent, would you really NOT be willing to talk?

This is hypothetical, fwiw, IF you were innocent. :)

Thanks fran!!!

I wish other cases would be looked at in this way. For example the Meredith Kercher murder... I could make a list of 'coincidences' even longer than this one for AK's behavior and actions. For some reason, it is not looked at the same way. :maddening:

Best regards to you.

4 or 5 condoms in his luggage............ JY is a planner for his business trip?

  • #313
Did Becky Holt ask Jason about the missing dark shirt w/ stripe when she questioned him in the first trial? I can't remember...

Ooops....condoms when he had a pregnant wife at home.....

Well, ya never know when a husband on a business trip might 'have a chance' :maddening:

I haven't figured out how to connect that to his loving care of worrying whether she'd find out he bid on a purse or whatever, but I'm sure there's some good reason for it. :waitasec:

nope, there's not. :rocker:

WTF??? Who brings condoms on a business trip?

  • #317
Note there was no underwear in his luggage.

1 pair of socks (looks like sport socks).

3 pairs of shorts (1 bathing suit trunks)

2 shorts sleeve tops (1 tshirt, 1 polo type)

It was November. No warm clothes except for 1 pair of jeans, the thermal type shirt he wore back from Brevard, 1 dress shirt he wore on top.

WHERE'S THAT DARK PULLOVER WITH LIGHT STRIPE as seen on video at midnight?

Gritguy, I love you! And I mean that in a completely platonic way. You just crack me up with your lawyerly drollness.

I don't find that unusual at all! I would bet many married men (and yes even those with children or pregnant wives) carry condoms on business trips or other.
You would be shocked by what I've witnessed.
