Interesting note...the Schaads and Daltons live on the same street in Raleigh, within a couple blocks it appears. Wonder how those family get-togethers are, or if Jason has been invited to hang with his buddies since last summer.

It does seem like a low blow ... could someone on the jury not interpret this as the State and family hounding Young endlessly?

On the one hand, they're arguing he murdered for money, but at the same time he didn't fight to prevent being fined 15 miilion.

Well, by that point he was probably aware and/or had been advised that (if he did this), he was being investigated rather hard and was unlikely to get away with it.

The fact is, murderers have all sorts of schemes and plans before the murder. It's after when they realize how stupid those schemes were. Yeah, he stood to gain a ton of money off her death and stood to lose a lot via a civil judgment. But at that point, he was likely realizing that facing life in prison was no longer a risk worth taking. A good criminal defense attorney can take the greed out of a client and replace it with fear very quickly.

Jason told him that she was trying to get pregnant,
and that it would be funny if it were his kid,
He said he thought he was in love with her.

Has he lied on the stand? He admitted to cheating on Michelle. To be a good cheater, you must lie. This is all IMO.
