Wow. I have to admit, this testimony SCREAMS reasonable doubt.

Did he let it slam atumoatically like it's supposed to, or did he just hold it as he brought it to the door sill/lock type thing, and let it sit there?

I can even get my self-closing garage door to do that, if I lay it against the closer thing. But you let it close automatically like it's made to, it does go into the latch.

Just shows how you can manipulate the results.
Making so much hey! about the stick/rock,............ just shows what a coinky-dink that JY used something to hold the exit door open the same night a rock was found in it and his wife just happened to be brutally murdered.

JMHO

Agent Galloway performed the same experiments first and they worked for him as well.

This is very damaging evidence to the state's case.

Because if Jason had lied about the twig and bush , it would be OVER......

Check out this picture... what he is claiming is the throw-bolt, is actually the latch of the hotel door handle. The throw bolt is clearly lower, in line with the throw bolt lever and is rectangular and not protruding from the door if it was thrown. MOO

Non sequitur as a smoker: only an idiot would hold an automatic door with a twig on such a self-describes windy night. Just saying.

  • #786
The timing of the camera being unplugged, and then turned upward toward the ceiling says it all ! Jason Young messed with that camera, and no one else!
This witness is laughable, the defense absolutely has NOTHING !!!

  • #787
what is the point of this?

we have JY's word against the guy who worked there and saw what was holding the door open...right????

They way I interpret is JY is saying "Yes, I did have something hold the door open, but it wasn't the rock!"

Kinda' ridiculous to me!

Just sayin'

you and me both... I am a mock juror too (never followed the case or the first trial)...

I can clearly see motive and means so far...

clearly.

the shoe, the state of the home downstairs, and the interview with the childcare worker (  ) did it for me... (oh, and the print on the wall, the fact that her body had been moved, and the wallet with the cash taken out of his closet ... oh and the wedding ring)

yup... I guess you can say I am pretty convinced at this point and the defense so far is not coming back strong imhoo

The missing clothes are huge to me. All in all just way too many coincidences, lies and excuses I'd have to believe to get to NG. Like all the camera/door business just happened to go on at the Hampton Inn on that particular night - how many times before had stuff like that happened there?

Omg, look at the tiny twig that could hold the door open.

A shrub right next to the door that he could reach
by holding the door open.

Omg,

Why didn't he just use his keycard like everyone else in that hotel ? hmm

So the murder took place in 2006 and this PI took pictures of the hotel in 2012?

I think all the PT would need to say in their cross examination is what you just posted above.

  • #791
This is oddly unmoving, grasping at twigs if you will.

  • #792
What's the point of this witness? JY already confessed that he exited and entered the hotel several times without a key card. This just helps to bolster the prosecution's case.

  • #793
I think all the PT would need to say in their cross examination is what you just posted above.

Isn't that when the Prosecution's detective also went and took pictures? After the recent trial? And then also checked to see if a twig would fit in the door?

  • #794
Why use a twig....didn't hotel guy say a rock was used?

I missed the camera part so how did it not capture him???

Uhhmmmm....

Maybe he was HOPING someone would steal his suitcase and computer so he could file an insurance claim! :slap:

Just an idea!
LOL,

So this guy confirmed that he could get the outside door to stay open with a twig but also had the same trouble as the detective in that in some places it would not hold.

I don't get it. Since we know JY went out that door and tried to prop the door what difference does it make whether it was a twig or a rock? Bottom line is he left out of that door and tried to fix it so he could reenter without being detected. Smoke and mirrors?

Why use a twig....didn't hotel guy say a rock was used?

That's what makes it soooo ridiculous that they keep bringing up the fact JY admitted he put something in the door to keep it open, but it wasn't the rock.

LOL, in other words, he wasn't out all night, as the rock may have indicated. Just to have a smoke in the freezing wind and cold.
