Why did the murderer have to clean off his face and hair? What about a ski mask? You know, the kind where only eyes and mouth are exposed. Lots of people have these in areas where it is colder in the winter (like the NC mountains, for example.)

Whoever did this had a PLAN for getting out of the house without spreading evidence around. Like others, I think the murderer had a bag with him for easy removal of evidence.

I'm never planning to commit a crime, but wearing a mask of some kind seems obvious to me. It does make it harder to explain the hairs found at the scene, but have they yet attributed these to Jason? Is that coming up later, or did I miss it?

I have noticed in the Casey Anthony trial that all of the LE witnesses, from the local people to the FBI folks, direct almost all of their answers to the jury. I think they are trained to do that. Additionally, in that same trial, the judge and everybody in the courtroom rises when the jury either enters or leaves. Much, much respect shown for the jurors which is impressive.

BBM - Yes, NCEast, I noticed that in the Orlando trial as well, and I agree, I liked that they were required to show that type of respect and deference to the jury.

And, yes, LEO's are trained to testify to the jury, thus looking at them while answering.

I had to step out for a few minutes - who is the guy currently on the stand?

Yes, he could have had on mask, gloves and had large plasic bag to put all the clothes and his shoes in them. Ski mask are everywhere. Somehow he HAD to keep blood and stuff out of his car.

Messing with food can cause is to be 'mommicked up'. ??? How'd I do?

Jest ri-i-i-ight!!! That's one of my favorites -- it's so descriptive. Thx.

JY had a hissy fit

Nice analysis of the way they respect the jury. I suppose it was his change in demeanor towards the defense attorney combined with what I took to be a subtle arrogance that made me get a bad taste in my mouth.

Can anyone tell me what is the deal with the cards?

Well, I can tell you that all LE agencies are taught to talk to the jury, primarily because you there to talk to them not the questioner, the judge, or the courtroom guests. Also, you can tell whether they are following you if you are talking to them. All seasoned LE witnesses do that, and hopefully they answer the questions from the defense without being hostile. Now who is this guy?

Guy with glasses on stand currently is the electronic/financial investigator. He is the one that tracked the rewards card to dsw to the credit card, also investigated bank accounts and found one with JY and his mom on one account.

Just referring to the night he was not successful in strangling MY and with the c-store clerk. What a schmuck

Person on the stand right now is Al Sternberg. He's an investigator with L.E.

I know this investigator's wife. :-)

What is the biggest discovery that has come out today or at least most important testimony of the day. If anything?

  • #137
I agree with others that he washed outside. Only had his head to worry about.
Don't think he would have had a ski mask with him since the murder started out as a soft kill/strangulation.

I'm thinking he took off his clothes, inside out, rolled into a ball, put into a bag of some type. Later he added the 2 pairs of shoes and perhaps the murder weapon. Took a shower, cleaned the shower or else washed himself outside with the hose

Madeleine he could have easily grabbed a duffle bag from his closet and threw it out the back window. Cleaned up in the BR then finished up outside. He prolly washed the shoes off with the hose too. It's been so long do we know what type of shoes he had one when he arrived back in Raleigh? Sorry if it has been disscused before.

TIA!!

It's just like Christmas with the evidentiary guy opening up all the state exhibits and having them entered into evidence.

Johnston....lol

Do you say... extension cord OR drop cord???

My sister-in-law asked me if I had a drop cord :waitasec: . I'm born and raised in N.C. and I didn't know what she was asking about :floorlaugh: .

This is the same sister-in-law that thought a barricuda was a type of tiger tho :great: .
