State's Motion for Petition of Writ of Habeas Corpus Ad Testificadum

  • #41
I also believe that the State will not go into too much testimony with Robyn. They simply need her to verify for the jury that this was written communication between Casey and herself. I don't even know if they will ask her about their little secret meetings she had with Casey.

I believe that Robyn really does feel bad for having to go against Casey. She didn't seem to want to cooperate with LE. She wasn't the one who told LE about the letters, Maya did. I think that if Maya is called to testify, it will only be to verify for the jury that she is the one who verified to LE that the letters existed... and it wasn't some big conspiracy between the Orange County Jail and LE. Maya may not even be called to testify.

I love that we're getting to see that the State has started sending out subpoena's and getting everything prepared for the trial to begin in May. Makes my stomach have butterflies knowing that Justice for Caylee is so near.

Are there any Motions filed by the Defense in regards to the Jailhouse letters or Robyn Adams that would require a Hearing?
Found it....
Motion to Suppress Statements Made to George, Cindy, Lee Anthony, Maya D, Robyn Adams and Sylvia Hernandez.
The Defense say that they all were acting as Agents of the State

http://www.wftv.com/pdf/26331430/detail.html

I ask because of what WESH (Bob Kealing video) reported tonight on the news, he said she will be brought to Orlando to give testimony at a hearing, they don't know which hearing nor the date of the hearing...which is slightly different than was it currently written in their articles which still say she will be transported for trial..
WESH doesn't have it up yet but the Orlando Sentinel does

This motion: Motion to Suppress Statements Made to George, Cindy, Lee Anthony, Maya D, Robyn Adams and Sylvia Hernandez. is what I clumsily referred to in my comment above. I may be misinterpreting the recent ruling by Judge Perry, but if I'm correct then he has pretty much already approved Robyn as a NOT AGENT OF THE STATE and this gives me hope that the others listed will also not be considered such and any jailhouse phone calls (and I hope UN-REDACTED) the SA chooses to use will come in.

And a big thank you to AZ Lawyer. I like what you said above about what is unfairly predudicial and what is not. Gives me even more hope that the jury will see ALL the evidence they need to give a just verdict for Casey (cuz we know "justice for Caylee is justice for Caylee" or whatever that self-serving sickening comment Cindy said".

Yes indeed Mrs. Cynthia Anthony. We all hope justice is served. On a platter. With a side of slaw and fries. Oh and a pickle.

I wonder if Kealing got that wrong about the hearing vs. trial. Media makes a lot of mistakes in their reporting.

I ~believe~ that Robyn is being hauled to Orlando to testify at the hearing. After the presentation of the evidence, Judge Perry will make his ruling on the "agents of the state" crap.... er, motion.

But I've been wrong before.

OK Thanks. I've been wrong before too. :)

Okay, the phone call HAS to come in! I don't really care too much about the jailhouse visits, even though it would be nice for the jury to see how Cindy walked Casey through some things... like the big threat to their family. But the phone call is HUGE!

Who could forget these little diddy's...

"All they care about is getting Caylee back. That's all they want... and that's all I want" - not verbatim

"Oh wow (well?). Oh. My. God. Calling you guys a waste... a huge waste" - again not vebatim.

Oh and how she just had to talk to Tony....

"Becauseeee... he'sssss.... myyyyyyy... boyyyy-friend and I haven't gotten a chance to talk to him today." - again not verbatim.

This shows her concern for not being able to talk to her boyfriend, in what?, 12 hours... yet she showed no concern, almost showing complete contempt for anyone concerned about Caylee, who has not been heard from or seen in 31 days.

That call HAS to come in. Right?

Another one of my favorites was when she was whining about needing to get out of jail, and for her parents to post bond.

Course, they tell her that they can't, Casey kind of huffs and pouts while in a backwards way, mentioning that there were ways.....I assume meaning L Padilla.

Cindy tries to change the subject, and brings up how much money has been raised for a Reward for Caylee then.

Casey gets all wild eyed, and practically faints and is in awe, and says, "OMG, that's almost half of my bond!!!"
Then, catches herself and says how nice that it is ~ ~

But, boy, were her wheels turning, and she was not a happy camper that once again, people were thinking more about her daughter than of her.

IIRC these letters were discussed at the end of her indigency hearing held March 18th, and right after Mason made his "trust me" debut and referred to the prosecutors as "ignorants".

J Strickland ruled they were not to be released until Baez had a chance to look them over. :floorlaugh: He gave Baez 15 days to file a motion. He never did.:waitasec:

Bold mine.

Old habits are hard to break, aren't they.

You'd think she would have had the brains to at least ACT concerned, since she's going the "I'm totally innocent/I'm a victim" route...

Remember, the story to the jailmate is indeed story number three!

Funny...I always thought that she meant selling something else. What a piece of work!

I love the side by side mug shots. In the letters it was obvious that Robyn was devastated being away from her kids. In this pic, ICA could care less that her kid is "missing".

Respectfully Quoted strawberry :cool2:

ITA. Robyn looks miserable, devastated is a great word strawberry. You see the humanity in Robyn. In the theater of life there are the two faces we all recognize: comedy and tragedy. I see tragedy in Robyn's face, yet I can see beauty because she is being human. I may not agree with what she has done to find herself in jail but I can recognize and relate to what I see in her face. When I see that picture of ICA, I do not recognize what I am seeing. There is nothing of my experience of being a human being(this life)that I can see in Casey's eyes. In the video of her being taken in(in the blue jersey with numbers on it)I see a wild excitement and defiance as she struts for the cameras. The most I see in the mug shot is a jaw that is held out, more defiance maybe but the wild excitement is gone and I see blankness. Coldness. Her eyes look blank and empty to me.

I think it is interesting that Robyn is being called to testify. Adams, a convicted drug dealer, is serving time in a federal prison in Tallahassee, but once spent time in the Orange County Jail with Anthony. Maybe the difference between why they are calling Robyn and not Maya is because Maya is accused/convicted of murder? Robyn may be in prison but she is there for being a drug dealer, not murder. With respect to the understanding that drugs and the dealers have and can hurt many people, many people have died-in this case Robyn is the lesser of two evils. Imo.

I personally would like to hear what Robyn has to say. I will decide if what I am hearing is truth, after I hear it. I am not so sure Robyn would be willing to lie under oath. She is already in trouble and I think she genuinely desires to be with her children. Obviously this is all wild speculation on my part, it is just how I feel, not an opinion based in facts.

I see a devastated woman who was upset because she had gotten caught. I have no sympathy for where she is at in life right now. I feel very sorry for her children... who she should have been thinking about before she decided to live this kind of lifestyle.

I don't think Robyn is a bad person and I do believe that she loves her children with every ounce of her being. I am sure that she regrets the decisions she made in life that put her in the situation she is in today, but I have no sympathy for her.

I have known drug dealers, and believe it or not, not all of them are these thugs you see in movies. Some of them are the nicest people you will ever meet who would do anything for you. It doesn't take away from the fact that they are breaking the law and if caught have to suffer the consequences of their actions. I have known many people who have gone to jail on drug charges. I don't hang out with them because I don't want to be associated with that lifestyle, but if I see them while I am out, I will speak to them.

Robyn's testimony is going to be simple, imo. I believe that she is only going to be asked to verify for the jury that these letters were in fact an ongoing communication between her and Casey Anthony. I think that is all they need her for.

Yep, but this is lazy, self absorbed Casey. She is bound up in her own little reality, she isn't feeling these emotions, faking it is hard work, sustaining it for more than 5 minutes is just impossible.

This girl needed props like T shirts and buttons to convey she had a missing child. And who handles a kleenex like this girl?

Some serious coaching needed for the trial.

...but let's remember (CA aside), RA was convicted of being a drug dealer...where were thoughts of her kids then?

Maybe she was thinking about feeding them? It's safer than selling herself. Just say'in. Times are tough. :truce: LOL!! :seeya:
Psssst....want buy some extra strength Advil?

Her husband was a serving police officer. Im not too sure on the details but IIRC her husband was also charged with firearm offences. They had some sort of hash factory going, i.e they were growing the stuff.

You're 100% right about what you don't see looking at Casey...and you said it so eloquently. The girl is soulless.

Coaching? At this point, she needs a hired stand in for the trial. I can't believe the defense hasn't tried to clean her image before now. But no, hearing after hearing, she's not stopped from smiling, giggling, writing like crazy, and doing all of those nervous tics. How can they think this can go trial with a defendant that's going to shoot herself in the foot just by sitting at the defense table and being soulless and remorseless for the whole trial?

These are the points I was trying to make in my post above. Thank you, Chiquita, for saying what I was trying to say so much more eloquently than I did.

I'm so rushed for time these days that I don't have time to read/post & when I do, I tend to do so in short bursts & not enough detail...which I guess I shouldn't do! My hat is off to you and all of the others here who take the time to post such in-depth and knowledgeable answers/thoughts/musings.
