I just saw live coverage from the Loblaws at Redway road. Police were towing away a 4 door greenish car. I got the plate info before coverage ended. I think this is likely her car. Also the body was discovered near the DVP and Don Mills according to Marianne Dimain from global news. No clue is the body is her. The companion she was with last night is male according to short presser.

Unsure if it was a printing error or not, but there are two versions of whether or not foul play is suspected. rbbm

"Police said they don’t believe the companion to be a suspect at this time. They also said there doesn’t appear to be any evidence of foul play."

"Police said they were concerned for her safety due to the temperature outdoors and the terrain.

“It was relatively colder yesterday evening and given the general terrain here, it’s very unstable. There is a railway track as well as a ravine that runs through here,” Paoletta said at the start of the search on Monday.

Police said Wong’s body was located near a river close to the Don Valley Parkway and Don Mills Road. Authorities did not reveal the cause of death."

If she died because of the temperature, I'll be shocked. Was she injured, I wonder?

Most reports stating that police do not suspect foul play.

RSBM for focus

It must have been a typo, as the article now reads:
“There is no evidence of foul play at this time and there are no signs of trauma to the body.

Police are not looking for suspects.

The area is under investigation by police until the cause of the death is determined.”

This case reminds me eerily of the Christina Calayca disappearance in 2007.

A female goes hiking or running in a wooded area with a male companion and vanishes. The guy returns unscathed, with no idea what happened.

The environment is obviously different (provincial park in a remote area v.s. a city park).

Clayaca was never found, unfortunately, and the missing woman in this instance has been found deceased, sadly.

While I am not suggesting foul play or culpability on anyone's part, it still is an odd set of circumstances.

She died of drowning, but there is no evidence of foul play. Was her body found in water? Do you think this was suicide?
