His hands are trembling and from just what you can see I think he is trembling all over. I feel sorry for this guy. And I do not like the defense attorney at all. jmo

Ravi seems very happy. Did you see all the smiling he did at the end of MB's testimony?

Judge says see you Monday.

Why? What would have made him smile?

I don't know. He was smiling broadly after exchanging some words w/ (I assume) a lawyer sitting next to him. They were both smiling. I thought to myself that Ravi seemed very sure of himself & quite relaxed & even happy.

The jurors might have already been excused for the day.

UPDATE: 12:08 p.m. -- The man known only as "M.B." testified today that it was "strange" to see a webcam pointed at him while he had a sexual encounter in the bed of his date, Tyler Clementi.

"I noticed there was a web cam, faced over in the direction of the bed. I just thought it was strange. Being in a compromising position," M.B. said according to the New York Post. "It just caught my eye that there was a camera lens looking right at me."

The camera allegedly sat on top of the computer belonging to Clementi's Rutgers University roommate, Dharun Ravi. Ravi is accused of spying on the two men and writing about it on Twitter days before Clementi committed suicide in September 2010.

The few times I've seen him in court, he comes across as arrogant and cocky. He doesn't look "intimidated" at all compared to the intimidation he's accused of towards Tyler.

My heart really went out to M.B. as he testified yesterday. His hands were shaking so badly at times. I wanted to give him a hug.

"Clementi left a suicide note, but its contents have not been disclosed."

Why would that be? Couldn't it clear up a lot re: this case? I'm not saying the GP needs to know, cos frankly it doesn't matter how curious we are. I just can't think of a reason why it wouldn't have even been released to his parents (while that particular article does not say that, I do remember reading that elsewhere... so I'm not 100%).

Because the suicide would be inflammatory. It has nothing to do with the crimes charged, but, if it was introduced as evidence and stated that the incident was the direct cause of the suicide it could inflame the jury against the accused to the detriment of the defence. Likewise, if the note suggested that the suicide was going to happen anyway, and the charged crimes were just incidental to that, it would have the reverse effect and be detrimental to the prosecution.

The note probably clarifies Clementi's state of mind when he killed himself, but since the suicide has nothing to do with the charges, whatever is in it is irrelevant to the trial.

I've never heard about anyone being charged with driving a person to suicide in US. But I know they do have these sort of cases in some other countries. But in US, never heard of it. Ravi isn't charged with anything related to suicide, so prosecution doesn't bring the suicide up. Regardless of what the note says.

"Mad people are going to do it," she said he texted her, using slang to suggest large numbers planned to watch. "People are having a viewing party with a bottle of Bacardi and beer in this kids room for my roommate."

I think that Ravi really enjoyed all of this.

If Ravi had a problem with Tyler regarding what he was doing in their room, and I absolutely give him that right to have a problem or concern with it, he could have said something to Tyler or the RA. Ravi never said a word to them because I think he wanted to stream this video so badly, he was just waiting for the next opportunity to arise. Ravi told anyone and everyone about what he had set up (camera) and was boasting about viewing parties - all to humilate his roommate Tyler because he was gay.

I think he is in deep denial about himself.

And the roommate knew he would do it and proceeded to provide the suitable opportunity in less than 48 hours. If Clementi was completely oblivous to all of this I would buy your argument, but it is clear IMO that he KNEW what was going to happen, and he went ahead and did it anyway. It is quite obvious that he was setting Ravi up to take the fall as the bad guy for whatever his agenda was.

People don't just kill themselves on the spur of the moment for no real reason, it is allways a long time coming and IMO Clementi had decided that Ravi was to be the whipping boy in whatever drama he was planning. It was a self fulfilling prophecy.

That is not to excuse Ravi, but kids that age do things like that, maturity is not their strong point. I just see stuff that happens all the time in varsity dorms, not a hate crime.
