We have seen Elaine searching for Dylan, and Mark says here that he is searching for Dylan, and if so they ARE both searching for Dylan. No one has said Elaine fears meeting with Mark and a mediator. But sometimes some people cannot communicate with some other people. We have Mark's communication style where, whether he intends to or not, he comes across as criticizing most of the people he claims he is not criticizing. What I mean is, he says "I'm not criticizing LE, but..." then proceeds to criticize them. Then we have Elaine, who is obviously emotionally upset, and, IMO, all she can hear is what comes after the "but..." in Mark's sentences. (I'll be honest, I would only hear that, too)

This is going to be tough, no matter who mediates, just due to the communication styles, but it's worth a try.
I agree that it won't be easy. Good luck to the three of them I say.

Hopefully the benefit of any mediation will bring out the location of dylan and custody perm will thn b established. I believe this is a custody case. Like kyron hormons case. Immho

I am EXTREMELY curious about the iPods taken. ER said they were hers, Cory's and Cory's gf. I thought only 2 were taken.

Dylan (according to ER) didn't spend much time with his dad. So, somehow he left 3 different iPods there? If I were to lend my iPod to someone and they lost it, I don't think I'd lend them another. However, if I was somehow suckered into lending another iPod and they lost that one also, I sure as heck ain't lending a third iPod. That was a very interesting detail, IMO. Thoughts?

Thank you
Tricia, for keeping a calm head, even when it was tough, during the entire show, and for making some good suggestions to the participants regarding mediation. It was very informative, and I appreciate it.

Thanks for bringing up that detail because I missed it. Somehow everyone's I Pods ended up at Mark's house? Why?

" I was the only one interested in the 6 month mark"

He is disgusting to even say that!!!!

He also said, "I could be wrong about that." But really, no one really mentioned the 6 month mark on FMDR. It doesn't change anything though.

I didn't get that impression from Mark at all. He seemed honest and sincere to me.
I wish I felt that way. I got the impression Mark was blaming and criticizing everyone he spoke about. That doesn't mean he might not have been honest and sincere, as well, but I couldn't get past the "I'm not criticizing X, but..." and then the criticism that came after. I know Tricia mentioned that to Mark, and I hope he can listen to the show and see how some people (yes, I am one of them) would feel more sympathetic to Mark if he could just temper that a bit.

The player quit on me while he was explaining what LE had done to the washer. He said they opened something?

  • #109
He basically called Brandon a liar, yet isn't he on record in the press recently that he doesn't believe Dylan is anywhere in the county???

I'd like to make a motion to stop sleuthing and/or posting derogatory remarks and insinuations about Mark Redwine unless or until LE names him a suspect or POI. He has gone above and beyond to make himself available, answered any and all questions posed to him, and he deserves to be treated like a victim in this case at this point.

Or, no one and nothing should be out of bounds. JMO.

I agree. It's like he would start a comment that way, and then once he got into the topic he sounded pretty credible. But it's very damaging to him, IMO, to put those little digs in. I liked that Tricia said something to him about this but I'm afraid that unless someone sat with him listening to the playback and pointed out the specific instances he won't acknowledge/understand what he's saying that gets people so irritated. Very hard to get people to acknowledge faults unless they're willing to look at the mirror you're holding up.

When Tricia brought that up, it took him a bit to understand what she was saying, and then he admitted that he sometimes comes across differently than what he meant.

I think that Mark comes across differently more often than he intends. He just doesn't realize it when it happens.

Why isn't it 'very damaging' to ER and everyone else when they dig and dig and create and/or post on webpages devoted to slandering him on a daily basis? I've yet to see a 'Calling Elaine Redwine' page with daily veiled threats and perpetual insults.

JMO.

Tricia: In the affidavits that were released, it said they found two iPods. And maybe you don't know, maybe you don't know what's going on, but....

Elaine: I do.

Tricia: Ok, tell us.

Elaine: Well, the iPods that um they found was not, one of them was not Dylan's iPod touch, which is the one he used all the time. The other 3 iPods that there were basically my iPods. that you know may have been there from an earlier time that Dylan was there. He always used my iPods or his brother's ipods or his brother's girlfriends iPod, but none of those were his iPod touch.

What????

You've obviously not read the posts of many of the nutbags on Facebook.

I've read a lot of posts, so I know what you mean. I can see MR being nervous. By the same token, if I were ER I would be scared to death of some of the people posting things about her, as well as some of their "significant others." Nonetheless, she is out there and searching.

Sometimes, I think you have to be a parent to understand that, for most of us with children, Hannibal Lector himself couldn't scare us away from searching for our kids. It's just a different mindset.

IMO.

Wow, great show. I have to admit I was very concerned when MR called in. I'm so happy to say I was wrong in how I thought he would be treated.

Weren't LE out at Vallecito after the Dr. P show, questioning kids and leaving notes on residents doors? IIRC it wasn't until after that presence that the statement was released regarding the mail lady's sighting.

They may have been out after the show to follow up once again. However they had ALREADY cleared up that case of mistaken identity before the Dr Phil taping. There was a big banner announcement on FMDR about the 2 boys who had been seen around town, and one of them looked just like DYlan and people were calling them in as sightings. It was determined then that the boy who looked like Dylan lived in Vallecito and he was not Dylan. And the mail lady who saw the boy was mistaking this kid for Dylan. That was reported long before the Dr Phil taping.

I didn't take it as him calling Brandon a liar. He seemed genuinely surprised that Brandon supposedly said that. IMO, it was not Brandon he was calling a liar.

I think that Mark comes across differently more often than he intends. He just doesn't realize it when it happens.

What did he 'intend' when he said "unlike my exwife, I don't search only for the public 'recognition' and run after cameras to follow me. "
