I disagree. I think that Tricia kept Mark focused on where she was going with her questions and she sure as hell didn't let him bash Elaine on her show.

That's the way I saw it anyway.

She stopped him from it at one point. She called him out on it, but he denied that he even did it, even though we had just heard him bash her.

If he was not talking about Elaine then he would not mention HER in that sentence. He WAS IN FACT TALKING ABOUT ELAINE.

I think that we are at the point were we have to say that we agree to disagree.

But Tricia was prepared!!!

I think that he thinks he is a smart cookie....

Yes, it sounds like Tricia was, but can you imagine how Elaine felt to be hearing his voice, with no warning or preparation? It would have been decent of him to let them know he would call in. I still think he's smarter than people give him credit for, but that's just my opinion.

I do want to thank Kimster and Tricia for paying attention to me during the chat and getting my questions to the guests tonight.

Anyone notice when he talked about the movie they watched, although he didn't specify the name of the movie (this time) he once again was distancing himself about the level he watched it? This time he made a point the movie was seized and it had Dylan's fingerprints all over it & the DVD was hooked up by Dylan.

Tomorrow when I re-listen to the show I want to compare the distractions through the movie to MB's interview. It raises my hinky-meter that he goes on and on about chores, etc. while the movie was on, making me wonder if it was actually watched.

Remember long ago when it was thought that or joke that MR was reading WS? It seemed as if each question we had, he cleared up. Well, I'm glad it came out that he does read here. Perhaps that is why the change to this version, many questioned why he was up walking around when it would have made more sense to sit and watch the show with his son that just flew in. MOO :seeya:

I know; my heart was breaking for Elaine and Cory.

Yes, he may be smarter than people give him credit but I am not sure he is fooling LE and the FBI (at least I hope not).

I think he is very methodical, vindictive, sly. He also appears to always have to have the last word and places blame a lot on others.

If he had nothing to do with Dylan's disappearance that his actions make him a very sick individual or whatever Dr. Phil said....

Exactly.

And people complained that he never searches and so tonight he said he ALWAYS does searches, but by himself when no one is looking.

Hold On. Just because I didn't attack and was calm and nice in my questioning doesn't mean anything.

Do you think Mark or Elaine Redwine would have called in had I not been respectful of them?

That doesn't mean I don't ask tough questions. I do. I don't yell, insult, sneak in snide comments, or freak out on people.

You did what any good or great interviewer does imo; you remained neutral and kept whatever personal feelings you may have under wraps as you interviewed both parties in a dignified way and looked for information (while multi-tasking).

I listened to the whole thing (as I do every week), and I thought tonight's work was especially artful and pretty cool. I got that feeling you get when you get to witness somebody doing something that it seems like they were born to do. :)

I hope LE does listen and catches any little changes to his stories from whatever it is he has told them.

When my kids moved out they left about 4 old iPods here at the house. One is my DD"s ex bf's and one was my DS's friends. The other two were theirs. People get new ones and shed the old ones like nothing. It makes total sense to me that D left old ones there at other times. None of them were the i-pod touch type.

I don't find it that weird that there might be multiple old iPods around, but I do find it a little strange that someone who hadn't been there in a long time (if ever?) would know what iPods were there, other than what was in the search warrants. No disrespect to anyone, I just find it odd.

I agree, I was impressed when I found out that Tricia does the interview while reading the thread. IMO she did a great job.

<modsnip>,

As slick as you were tonight, you did not fool me. You were still up to your mean tricks. I caught it when you tried to throw Corey under the bus and accused him of leaving a pot pipe in your house. I caught your pathetic attempt to bash Elaine and accuse her of not sincerely searching for Dylan. And the way you say " I am not criticizing Law Enforcement...and then you go on and bash them needlessly...pppfffttttttt

You are probably pretty pleased with yourself tonight, but it won't help at all in the end. JMO

I was told Mark might call in. I also let Elaine know that Mark might call in.

Mark called after Elaine was done. I am glad he waited. Until their meeting on Wednesday I don't think they should try and talk to each other.

Although I was told Mark might call in I was still surprised.

Thanks everyone for listening and participating.

I think I know why, and let me explain. When my kids were much younger I used to send them to spend vacation time with my parents at their summer cabin. They would fly there by themselves and back 10 days later.

Every year they left clothes, ipods, shoes, swimsuits etc. I usually knew what they left AFTER they flew home. But it was often a year before they returned to the cabin.

So I totally understand why Elaine might know where the original ipods came from and all of that. JMO

We don't know. I assume that nothing of his was found in the house, other than items that had been left another time. It is very strange to me. Even if Dylan had decided to leave on his own for some reason, kids seem to always leave something behind by mistake.

That's what I was kinda thinking too. It seems like at least a toothbrush would be there, you know? Although maybe Dylan kept some of that stuff at MR's so he didn't have to transport it back and forth. I know we've discussed this some before too, but I was surprised to hear it mentioned again. I couldn't even tell you what all is in my purse right now and I'm not one of those people who carries around a bunch of stuff... how did he (or anyone) know every single item that was in the backpack?

Even if MR DID do something to him, that IMO would be a fairly unusual thing to say so definitively. Maybe it's just me...

Oh, thank you for clarifying that. I'm going to see if I can figure out how to hear the show for myself tomorrow.

Thanks again.

I'm not following you here. Where did Mark bash anyone including LE? And what is an attempted bashing? I always figured that you bashed someone or not.

Someone asked him about the 'pipe' in the SW, and he said he didn't know, but Corey used to come to 'use' his house so maybe he left a pipe there....

And I have already said the bash he made comparing himself to Elaine and saying she only searched for the cameras...

And he went on a big thing about LE, saying why did they get a search warrant based upon kidnapping, when they never called for an Amber Alert, trying to make a point that they were incompetent. But he just made himself look stupid, imo.

Thanks Katydid. That thought did cross my mind, but how would she know that they hadn't been tossed, or donated, or given to someone else, or any other assorted things that might have happened to the iPods in between visits? Unless as I mentioned before, all of them were recovered from the house and maybe EH saw them and was able to identify them that way. I wasn't able to listen to the show yet but hoping to find a replay to listen to. Maybe it's less confusing hearing the whole context instead of trying to figure it out from comments posted here during the show.

I would definitely recommend listening to the show. Hearing someone speak as opposed to reading it, makes a big difference in opinion for me.
