Sunday 6/2/13 on True Crime Radio - Elaine Redwine

This is completely an opinion
I feel that this entire thing is a game to MR, and Dylan unfortunately was the pawn in this game. I also feel that the game is going exactly the way he wants it to go, in other words, he thinks he is "winning". When I heard from him that we are at the "6 month mark", it was very chilling to me. He actually says on Tricia's interview that this is why he felt it was time for mediation and for putting out his recent statement. That 6 months is a long time to have your child missing. Isn't the 1 day, or 1 week mark a long time to have your child missing? Wouldn't that be a good time to speak up?

I believe that the mediation with Elaine is part of his prize for winning the game. I think this is exactly the scenario he was hoping for - and not anything to do with finding Dylan. I think it's completely about control - he has something Elaine needs, (information about Dylan) and he is dangling that in front of her. I also believe that when he heard Elaine sounding so beaten down on Tricia's show, (like many of us here noticed) this is right where he wants her, and probably why he decided to call in.

I am very saddened today and very fearful for Dylan, and now for Elaine.

Tricia mentioned talking to MR in advance of the show. This tells me that she knew that MR might be calling in. The way Tricia introduced some of the questions to EH also demonstrated that she had spoken to MR and also let EH know of that. I believe that a good many people would prefer MR to remain silent and accused and are a bit put out that he is speaking out.

Yes you are correct. I always talk to my guests before the show. Mark Redwine was going to come on the show but I wasn't sure when. Sunday I found out that he might call in after Elaine and he did.

You all have brought up some interesting questions that I would like to Ask MR. I will see if I can get him back on the show in the near future.

Tricia, while you're here, do you know who it was that called in and wanted to talk to MR?

Dear Websleuths Members,

Please let's stay off the "irresponsible" comment. Dylan was 13 at the time It's unfair to say he is anything but a normal kid and normal kids this age can do things that we as adults feel irresponsible. It's just an age thing and should not be a topic. It doesn't sound nice and it adds nothing to the discussion.

So please let's move off that point and discuss the facts as we know them.

Thank you.

I would appreciate it too if you didn't say this young man is not with us. I agree to disagree with you on that, but it disturbs me to read about a child being thought of as deceased when there is no evidence of that. Although I guess you can always do a Charles Ramsey and say, "I thought that boy was dead!" after Dylan is returned.

First bold - Please note that my statement was qualified. I hope and pray that he is indeed safe and sound and cared for, and that no one in his family had anything to do with his disappearance. The fact that we are told that both parents are searching for his remains reduces my optimism in that regard.

I for one would not prefer that MR remain silent, that is not at all what I said. But I do find it very odd that at the "6 month mark" is when he finds it so important to speak up. IMO this has more to do with getting to this important marker without being arrested.
And like I already said, a point at which Elaine is resigned and desperate. Elaine's reactions are much more appropriate at the 6 month mark, resignation and desperation as opposed to Mark's increased interest and participation.
As far as Tricia, yes she said she had been talking with Mark and hoping he would come on to the show. But seeing as how there were other guests planned that were not able to be on, it is obvious that this was not a planned appearance by Mark. I think he heard Elaine and realized she was an easier target than before, and he made his move. MOO

:cow: - it does not matter for me if its the 6th month mark or the first few weeks , his behavior has always been odd and never fitting of a man who has a son missing and he is way to interested in his own plight than his missing son :cow:

Second Bold - I also don't participate in making fun of Mr. Ramsey, as the racial overtones of many of the comments are offensive. I know, I'm a real stick in the mud. And, again with my apologies, I just don't find anything at all about Dylan's case funny, or amusing, or deserving of this kind of sarcastic rejoinder.

I agree, Elaine has indicated she fears Dylan is no longer alive for months now, back as far as the DP show. And searching, and searching again, in lakes, with HRD dogs does not show that there is a great deal of reason to believe that he is alive.

Of course everyone hopes he is alive. That should go without saying.

I didn't take it as anyone was making fun of Mr. Ramsey or making any kind of racial comment. I took it as obviously people gave up and wrote the 3 women from Ohio off as dead, and that clearly wasn't the case. What's the harm in hoping Dylan is alive? Hope for Dylan Redwine.

Jumping from your post...

Even if they knew the apps, how likely are they to know what was texted back and forth without the actual device?

Depending n what app was used, LE could get a warrant for the transcripts of the texts. I use a texting app and it records every text coming in and going out. I also can make phone calls from it. MOO

Who doesn't hope he is alive? Of course everyone does. But it does not make it so.

I'll be tuning in to look for consistency or inconsistency and for additional information. I'm open to the idea that MR did something to Dylan, but nothing supports it for me at this time. I'm open to other perps being considered as well.

If people want to have hope then that is perfectly understandable but if people also wish to assume the worse than that is also fine imo - there is nothing at this stage to suggest that Dylan is still with us and the facts with such cases normally point to them being deceased so it is only natural some will think this and post us such. :cow:

It doesn't make it not so either. If he's dead, it's pointless to have a flier sharing campaign or a page to find him. I suppose someone could make a "Justice for Dylan Redwine" effort but that seems premature and well, hopeless.

BBM in my opinion only, I want MR to keep talking. The more he talks the more LE can watch for his inconsistencies. He is bound to slip up somewhere. MOO, JMO

Not trying to change anyone's mind, just saying that I choose hope and for me personally, it's hard to hear people talk like he's dead. I'm not totally naïve, I know the chances aren't great but I will continue to believe he's alive until there's definitive proof he's not. MOO

I can't get past Sunday night and then Monday morning, with no communication from Dylan. Makes zero sense and always will to me, unless Dylan is alive to explain why he decided to go cold turkey on the texting all of a sudden, when he was visiting friends who he was very anxious to see and especially if he "overslept".

IF MR is guilty, I hope so too. However, I truly hope LE is looking at everything, especially if they don't have anything more than they've shared.

Back and forth, right or wrong, MR or not MR, EH or not EH...The human aspect seems to get lost in these threads. It is so disheartening because we ALL want the same thing, for a 13 year old boy Dylan Redwine to come home to his family.
