Sunny the red panda missing from Virginia Zoo, Norfolk, 24 Jan 2017

There's been another red panda sighting, but this time there's also a photo. A picture of a red panda seemingly strolling through the woods was sent Monday to the Virginia Zoo, 10 months after Sunny the infamous red panda went missing.

"This is very likely a hoax," zoo director Greg Bockheim said in an email.

Bockheim said he didn't know who sent the picture, but the zoo did contact animal control in the Fairfax, Va., area. He said Fairfax Animal Control tried to contact the original sender of the message, but has not heard anything.

Now, help me out here. Maybe I'm not complete awake yet. The preceding paragraph says she went missing sometime after Tues evening, but I think it should say after Monday evening.

Apparently, red pandas have a history of zoo escapes. Hope she will be found safe.

Its the zoos responsibility to make sure pandas dont get out. This is negligence.
