So many superlatives in the White House press release supporting Kavanaugh's nomination (linked above).

it doesn't change my mind that Kavanaugh isn't qualified and proved as much during his judicial committee job interview. His "but you made me act this way and say things I shouldn't have said" apology doesn't wash with me, either.

He behaved exactly like all the other predators and abusers - he blamed us for making him behave the way he did. He can't even take responsibility for his own actions! No way he should be on the SC.

This is what Senator Robert C. Byrd said in October 1991 to explain why he was withdrawing his initial support for Clarence Thomas:

“No individual has a particular right to a Supreme Court seat,” Byrd said. “. . . If we are going to give the benefit of the doubt, let us give it to the court. Let us give it to the country.”

@nothingnew, what you're linking to is off-topic, a one-off, and demonstrably unrelated to the organizations you mention.

One misplaced "exception" doesn't disprove the rule.
I tried to keep it simple but not enough info I guess. That was an example & a means for people that want to find their OWN gigs. It's like debate club see? You get placed on one side and play those points to the best of your abilities. You are being paid to protest period. Like acting. That post was just to give an idea of how posters that were saying "I protest, I want money" (para quote if you will), now they know where to find these plum paid protesting jobs. They're out there! Never give up hope!

So no one else has the same qualifications? No one else has done what BK has done? Is there another person who would not have someone come forward with a degree of credible accusations of SA against them? Would someone else have shown better decorum, minus conspiracy theories, under fire than BK did?

This exact lie campaign would have been done to any other candidate and hopefully Rs will be returning the favor when it's the Ds turn to nominate. Playing the nice guy got us nowhere--we've learned that lesson well.

His decorum was nothing less than perfection.

Speechless to hear grassroots protest described as a game & an acting role.

It's pretty simple. We've been taught it's ok to tell filthy lies about a person who wants to be appointed to SCOTUS and to try to destroy them as a person and destroy their family. The rest of it is self explanatory considering the power the rich have had under the people who have been on the bench for many years.

Is it possible to clarify this?

Who is teaching it's ok to tell filthy lies? Who is accepting the teaching? Not getting the last line, but would like to learn more about 'We've been taught ...'. Thanks.

Craig's list is a good start. Pick your city, go to community gigs/crew. Here's a. sample from d.c. area Protesters/picketers 3 days
LUNCH PROVIDED!
Also try move on.org. Once you're in the circuit you're in. Easy peasy.

False

"Did George Soros Pay ‘March for Our Lives’ Protesters $300 Each?
As hundreds of thousands of students and supporters took to the streets to protest gun violence, conspiracy theorists blamed a familiar bogeyman. "

added by me: those ads are put on craigslist to try to prove that protesters are paid

Wow. If this is fact and a true reflection of how the US operates these days, then I guess I'm more educated that I was earlier today.

Senator Grassley, asked why there aren't any women on the Senate Judiciary Committee: "It's a lot.of work. Maybe they just don't want to do it."

Somebody was questioning BK’s qualifications. I just supplied an article outlining them.

As far as CBF goes, credible accusations? I beg to differ. JMO

Actually the question was, is there someone else as qualified where such accusations would not be made?

Of course there were other candidates. I haven’t researched their qualifications. I also don’t know if they would have had any “accusers” coming forward or any other type of “accusations” made against them. They could have since this position is a pivotal one.

For any conservative nominee at this point in time, I defer to Lindsey Graham’s comment, “You came to the wrong town at the wrong time.” I agree with him.

A lifetime appointment would seal a right-leaning majority on the panel - something the liberal interest groups and Dems vehemently object to. Who knows what might have been “pulled out of the hat” for other nominees. IMO

"Unable to perform", sounds about right. Women have stated he was harassing, aggressive, and yet...

And, he doesn't even cheat on his wife. Because if he did, I am sure someone would have come forward.

So much assumption here. Everyone believed he also was a “choir boy” goody two-shoes who didn’t drink, party or lie, either.

Until.

The answer is a resounding yes.
