I can't say anything, but
I can hardly wait until the Supreme court determines that rape is a misdemeanor and it is a $25 ticket.

Sadly, we do live in a rape culture, and I hope that more situations like this, bring forward women who are allowed to speak. I often wonder if women are indeed, "Second Class Citizens". In Montana, judges, have made outrageous statements, decisions that are beyond comprehension.

One judge, sentenced a male teacher who raped a 14 year old girl for months, to less than 30 days in jail. He called the relationship, "Consensual". The girl never spoke at the trial, because she was dead, she had committed suicide. Another girl, 12 years old, was raped by her Father, the judge declined to place him in prison, because the "boys needed their Father". Seriously?!

That being said, I still don't think that an accusation alone, is enough to derail this case. I don't oppose Kavanaugh as a judge. Why? Because I don't understand why this woman did not come forward 2 months ago. This was a grand standing, staged drama. Political manipulation of a woman's most painful memories. It was wrong. Honestly, I would have given her heart wrenching story more consideration, if it had not been so theatrically staged for deliberate political power play.

FBI can investigate all day long, but is it going to be able to pull a rabbit out of a hat? How do you investigate something that alleged to have happened so many years ago? Still going to be he said, she said, whether FBI investigates it or not.

Somebody in that circle knows something. FBI can get to it.

I don't think it would be Ford -- she wants to go back to her life

Aventti implied he would file criminal complaint for his victim

Hiding a 100,000 pages of documents from the committee has to mean there is lots more out there

what i find so incredible it his best buddy wrote a whole book years ago about what jerks they all were and now its a giant CT!

Mark Judge’s book validates Christine Blasey Ford’s timeline of the alleged Kavanaugh assault

Of course, alcoholics also get into all kinds of trouble because of their drinking. When they supersede their own tolerance, they suffer catastrophic hangovers. These can make getting through the day an Olympic event. This was never more evident to me than when, to raise money for football camp, I spent a few weeks working as a bag boy at the local supermarket.

My job was simple. People would leave their grocery baskets against a rail in front of the store, then pull their cars around. I would then sling their groceries in the car, sometimes get a small tip, and then wait for the next car.

It was a nightmare. Invariably I would be hungover — or still drunk — when I got to work at seven in the morning, and I spent most of the first hour just trying to hold myself together.

Much much more here

Analysis | Mark Judge’s book validates Christine Blasey Ford’s timeline of the alleged Kavanaugh assault

A goal of drinking 100 beer kegs by the end of senior year. A party with a stripper. A student falling through ceilings at house parties. These are new details coming to light in Mark Judge's descriptions of his days as a Georgetown Prep student

In Judge's book, there was also another reference to a student falling through a ceiling at a house party at Judge's house. The same student was busted by the cops for drunk driving, Judge wrote.

another book published by Judge --- "God and Man at Georgetown Prep" -- he describes the 100-keg quest again. He also writes of a bachelor party that he and friends threw for their teacher: a keg of beer and a stripper provided the entertainment at someone's house for the high school students. There was even a "pictorial essay" printed in a student-published paper called the Unknown Hoya -- which appears to be the same as the Heretic -- of the party, including an image of the stripper.

Very interesting comments below that article. They have their very own WS's going on. IMO

I think he was passionately defending his innocence, integrity and family. His demeanor was what I would expect from a man who's fighting to defend his name from unsubstantiated accusations.

The burden of proof lies with the accuser. She didn't have anyone to corroborate her story, including her friend. She didn't know how she got to or from the party but she knows she didn't drive. I suppose the driver didn't attend the party which seems odd imo.

Really? Me thinks he doth protest too much.

Key takeaways from the day's testimony

But his critics may see his performance as the product of wealthy private school privilege finally facing consequences for his actions.

"Is this how people get to talk if they don't spend their entire lives being scrutinized for tone?" asked Washington Post columnist Alexandra Petri in a tweet.

Whether Kavanaugh struck the proper tone for his testimony will be the big question hanging over his performance. Mr Kavanaugh, after all, is auditioning for a seat on the Supreme Court, where a deliberative temperament is viewed as a necessity of the job. His testimony on Thursday was something different.

I would say not me. I am conservative and I believe him. Professor Ford, I think that she has mental issues. I think that she actually has convinced herself that this happened.
I also 100% believe that today was a political hit job.
I do not blame BK for being furious. I would have been waaay more confrontational then he was.
I hope that he is voted into the supreme court, as he probably would have been if Feinstein and Ford hadn't thrown this huge accusation in at not the 13th hour, but the 15th hour!!
Absolutely despicable behavior from the left.
FYI. If, I was not a conservative prior to today, I'm pretty sure I would have #walked away tonight.

Ditto. I would add the following:

Feelings aren't facts.
Accusations aren't proof. Not in this country...not yet, anyway, thank God. (And I say that reverently).

I agree with Senator Graham: Judge Kavanagh has nothing to apologize for, IMO. It is the Kangaroo Court posing as a Judiciary Committee that should be apologizing abjectly to both Judge Kavanagh and the accuser. I think she genuinely believes "her truth." However, I do not believe that "her truth" is THE truth. By her own self-report, the accuser has serious psychiatric diagnoses, i.e, she is mentally ill. IMO, her PTSD diagnosis is NOT a result of what she stated happened to her 36 years ago, and I think whatever undisclosed traumatic event(s) DID lead to the PTSD diagnosis contributed to her having either a faulty or a false memory from her teenage years. Again, IMO. IMO, the Senate has victimized both the accused and the accuser.

Alan Dershowitz: Postpone Kavanaugh confirmation until FBI can investigate accusations against him

The Senate Judiciary Committee needs to slow down and postpone its vote on the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court until the FBI can investigate accusations of sexual misconduct leveled against him by three women.

Maybe we can get closer to the truth, although that is not certain. But right now there are too many unanswered question to bring the confirmation of Kavanaugh – currently a judge on the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia – to a vote of the Judiciary Committee as scheduled on Friday, much less to a vote of the full Senate.

Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley repeatedly declined to answer questions Thursday night from reporters as he repeatedly said, “we’re meeting at 9:30” — a reference to the committee meeting where the panel is scheduled to vote on whether to give Kavanaugh a favorable recommendation.

Republicans can advance Kavanaugh’s without any support from Democrats, but given their 51-49 seat majority in the chamber, Kavanaugh’s supporters can only lose one vote and still advance his nomination.

As a Corporate Fraud Investigator I've had many opportunities to work with the FBI (as well as many other Federal Agencies). One particular case I had involved 42 employees who were all working together; they were embezzling money and involved in extensive criminal activity in this regard that had crossed state lines. I was completely overwhelmed by these cases - even obtaining the necessary evidence was an incredible amount of work. Then when our Corporate Council stated that they wanted all of these employees prosecuted, it meant that I was going to have to ensure I did not miss a thing. So, I contacted the FBI for help - when the Supervisory Agent contacted me I told him my concerns about the extensive amount of paperwork involved. He said, "don't worry about that - the FBI has access to as many Agents, Assistants, Attorneys, surveillance equipment, and anything and everything else we might need; we have no limitations as to how we can help you, and as to what we can offer". The Kavanaugh case would have been easy for them to investigate.

He has already written along with every single other person that Professor Ford has said were there, under penalty of a FELONY offence that to their knowledge. This did NOT happen.

Professor Ford has not ONE single, not One person cobberating this story. Judge Kavanaugh has 4 people named, disputing this story.
All of this, from a woman with admitted mental disorders.
Against a teenager 37 years ago. A teenager who worked and studied and has an un-blemished record after 6 FBI investigations.
I feel sorry for Professor Ford. Btw, I find it very compelling that no family (that I am aware of) was there to support her today.
In closing... I was a popular girl in High School. I attended a lot of parties. Yes, we would be drinking and dancing and hanging out. I had guys come on to me constantly. But, I was strictly raised and having sex with them was out of the question for me. I actually earned the nick name Iron Pants, in High school. Which
stuck for all 4 years.
I was considered a conquest. Did I have stupid boys try stupid stuff?? Absolutely. Did I have boys rub their "stuff" against me? Yup.
Did I have boys try to get me in a bedroom at these parties? Yup.
Do I have mental challenges and life changing challenges because of these rowdy teenage boys?
No. Not then, not now.
None of what I have just said casts disparity against any sexual abuse victim. Please do not go there.
I am talking about high school.

He is accused by 3 women of sexual misconduct. He was in same room cheering Kavanaugh on. Of course he is a witness. GOP doesn't want to hear the horrible truth. Dems will have to investigate when they win the House, Senate.
Did you get those original talking points from Fox news? He actually seemed deranged. Cryin' Lyin' Brett

To me, the first hint that something was wrong with Kavanaugh was when he refused to shake the hand of the father whose daughter was murdered in that one school shooting. Kavanaugh glared at the father with this seething hatred (go back and look at the video - it's obvious). Then there was the Fox News interview with him and his wife the other day: His wife looked at him with a sense of disdain on her face, and, she looked very depressed. Today he came across as a liar, an alcoholic, and someone with a lack of respect for women and serious anger management issues. His mention of a Clinton conspiracy against him was incredibly ridiculous and unbecoming of a potential SCOTUS judge.

There are multiple allegations now. The Democrats will do further investigation on Cryin' Brett. What a joke--the entire nation knows he's a liar.

That is not true. I live in the nation, I do not believe he lied.

Witness? If he said he wasn’t there how can he be a witness?

Why GOP senators dropped sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell like a hot potato (Opinion) - CNN

If they wanted a lawyer to rake Blasey Ford over the coals and try to suggest she wasn't telling the truth, they should have hired someone like me -- a criminal defense lawyer. The worst person to hire for that job is a dedicated sex crimes prosecutor.

In my experience, once a prosecutor like Ms. Mitchell believes a victim is credible, the truth-finding process is over for them. They become the victim's advocate.

That's what happened today. Ms. Mitchell asked the questions she was supposed to ask. She tried to show inconsistencies in Blasey Ford's statements. She tried to show political motivations and improper influence.

But at some point, Ms. Mitchell decided she believed Blasey Ford. I think that happened when she called her a "victim" of sexual assault trauma. At that point, I don't think she was going to do anything to hurt Blasey Ford. Perhaps that's why the Republican senators decided to drop her like a hot potato when it came time to really confront Judge Kavanaugh about these allegations.
