There is corroboration to each of the 3 claims but some just don't want to hear it. Same people who believe everything Trump says--it's been documented by the Washington Post that Trump has lied over 5,000 times since taking office. Yesterday at UN his claims were laughed at, but Fox edited the laughter out.

Here is the actual transcript of the interview. No where does he say, or even imply, that a virgin could not commit sexual assault. He says, repeatedly that HE did not commit sexual assault, and points out that he was a virgin until many years after high school. Your claim would be shot down in court very, very quickly.

Brett Kavanaugh: Full transcript of Fox interview

Yes, that is what he is implying.

That is why he brings it up in the same breath in his own defense.

Additionally “anything close” is a direct reference to the allegations in the same framework of being a virgin. He is really quite clear about that being a reason he would be absolved.

B. Kavanaugh …We’re talking about an allegation of sexual assault. I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone. I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years there after. And the girls from the schools I went to and I were friends –

MacCallum: So you’re saying that through all these years that are in question, you were a virgin?

B. Kavanaugh: That’s correct.

MacCallum: Never had sexual intercourse with anyone in high school –

B. Kavanaugh: Correct.

If the interviewer thought she was doing him a favor by making that point and driving it home she was wrong, imo.

It's incredibly sad to me that in today's "enlightened" society that some are basing their condemnation on rumors, innuendos and faulty memories.

Don't get me wrong, sexual assault is HORRIFIC and should never be tolerated when someone is about to take on such a high position in our legal system...but...so far, nothing is proven, there are no witnesses, the accusers (so far) admit to faulty memories, some of their claims don't hold up to scrutiny and as for Avenatti...oy vey, that man deserves to have his legal license revoked at the very least.

Links please?

As for Trump and WaPo, not even remotely true.

Am sorry, but your claim and assumption would never hold up in a court of law.

Fox interview shot down by his own Yale roommate, others. He did want to imply that since he was a virgin (he said otherwise to Steve Kantrowitz during freshman year at Yale) he couldn't have committed sexual assault which is not true.

Again, your claim "He did want to imply that since he was a virgin" is your take, not a legal claim.

Mark Judge is too afraid. He literally wrote a book "Wasted" about being a teenage alcoholic with a friend "Bart O'Kavanaugh" throwing up. Ex girlfriend of Judge said he admitted to gang rapes. Ford identifies him in room during assault. Why put a 3rd person in room if false?

OT
I watch FOX news and they played that laugh clip over and over yesterday. I've also seen it several times today. I think DT didn't expect a laugh but he thought it was funny that he got one. IMO

If Kavanaugh not proven to be rapist, he is a liar and shouldn't be on Supreme Court..

The judge said he never had sexual intercourse "or anything close to (it)" until long after he left Georgetown Prep, the elite all-boys Catholic high school he attended in Rockville, Maryland.

“So you’re saying through all these years that are in question that you were a virgin?” MacCallum asked Kavanaugh.

“That’s correct," he replied.

She pressed on: “And through what years in college, since we’re probing into your personal life here?”

“Many years after, I’ll leave it at that," he answered. "Many years after."

Brett Kavanaugh: He was a 'virgin' in high school and other takeaways from Fox interview

I don’t think he was insinuating that being a virgin one couldn’t sexually assault someone, but that he was a virgin until he married.

And I believe that.

People that do hold out until marriage are not likely to assault/grind/try to disrobe someone.

Jmo He’s innocent. This is so sad.

Good that Fox showed the laughter but if you believe his statement that he liked it you are proving my point--some people believe anything he says.

His virginity claim disputed the next day. So much of what he says is disputed.

Didn't have same problems with Gorsuch because he wasn't a liar or accused of attempted rape. Thought it was strange Kavanaugh had to bring his "team" of high school girls to his hearing as props. There's a pro Kavanaugh ad running and lady in ad now says she doesn't support him! Hilarious.

Who cares about a court of law.

Brett Kavanaugh believes it is a defense as it applies to his SC nominee hearing.

That is what this thread is about the hearings it has nothing to do with charges being pressed, an arrest or going to court- that's off topic.

The Kavanaugh Allegations Are Upsettingly Similar to What I Saw at D.C.’s Prep School Parties in the ’80s
Two days ago Slate ran an article from a woman who wrote about the DC prep school party school.
She refers to “trains” as “ the line up”.

Again, NO facts pertaining to this situation. I am fairly sure if you looked any college/prep school now and in the not to distant past, you'd find that some pretty crappy stuff took place.

But that still doesn't PROVE any of these claims are valid.

My point is, this is faulty reasoning. Faulting reasoning cannot convict someone, NOR should it be used to trash this man. Social media, and the news media, have virtually tried and convicted this man without a trial, and they are treating it as a trial, whether it is, or not.

The hearing SHOULD take place, votes SHOULD take place, and the outcome SHOULD be based on verifiable FACT. None of which has happened yet.

I agree. It is sad, and frightening. Salem. McMartin Preschool. Duke Lacrosse. Many others.

If we want a free and reasonable society we have to stop condemning until we have provable facts.

IMO, those who see his virgin claims as him claiming being a virgin precludes the ability to commit sexual assault are stretching their own confirmation bias.

Tell that to Brett Kavanaugh he is the one who asserted the faulty reasoning not me.

In your opinion, why did he bring up his virginity while bring questioned about the assault accusations?
