Every network I've checked has talked about how "credible" Dr. Ford is. moo

ETA: Reports say some in audience were crying.

When asked what her strongest memory of the incident is, she said "The laughter, the uproarious laughter".

Very emotional. A prime example of why many of us stay silent. The harrassments on top of an assault as a young teen feels overwhelmingly disgusting. I didn't realize just how much this was going to affect me. :(
Thinking about my friends here who have shared survivor stories. Please stay strong.

Dr Ford has given a sincere and thoughtful account. Her discription of the indelible memory of "their laughter" was chilling.

Her knowledge of psychology gives the stark detail of how trauma affects one's life; claustrophobia, panic, anxiety.

Her testimony makes me remember just how impressionable and innocent that age is.

Dr. Ford's instincts to testify publically to hear her in her own words is quite powerful.

Mr. Kavanaugh has stated that this incident did not occur as stated by the victim/accuser.

Mr. Kavanaugh has stated that this incident did not occur as stated by the victim/accuser.

That’s the point. His honesty and credibility are in question, along with his morality.

As a clinician I would never put in my chart the name of someone my client is talking to me about. I am not in court , to me clinically , the NAME of the perp is irrelevant.

It is not my concern. My concern is my clients anguish.

my notes were for me to to follow my clinical impressions , my decisions in terms of what I would hope to do to help my pt next session .

We are not cops - we are clinicians - different roles .

the notion that her therpaist did not document Brett Kav in his or her chart is flat out stupid.

That is not how we document.

Peter Pan John Smith -- name -- means nothing -- all that matters to us is our client is at the place and space to discuss painful things .

Engaged at what they are trying to do

we don't document that way and their are standards as it relates to our documentation.

Also fascinating. Really? Did you take any Polaroids of sexual assaults? Or drinking parties when everyone there was too young to drink? I can't recall anyone doing that when I was a teen.

LOL. Take pictures of those drinking? You bet! Parties were mostly tame-ish, but once people started to drink (underage or not) they tended to lose site of what was "appropriate" or not in terms of taking photos.

And my comment was not meant to imply taking photos of actual assaults (although I know a friend who has a photo of someone getting punched), it was meant that someone may have photos of WHO attended a particular party.

She took the polygraph the day of her grandmother's funeral. That seems strange.

It was said she had a fear of flying and that's why the hearing had to be delayed so she could drive. But it's been shown that she flys around the country and internationally as well. Interesting.

Now, this is interesting, the list of questions Kavanaugh may be asked.
https://www-m.cnn.com/2018/09/26/politics/21-questions-brett-kavanaugh-under-oath/index.html?r=https://www.cnn.com/

Seriously, this is just getting ridiculous...a high school kid, writes stuff in a year book, as a joke, and he is called out for it now?!
https://www-m.cnn.com/2018/09/24/po...anaugh-renate-high-school-yearbook/index.html

Yep, that's how ridiculous this has all become. If they're going to go this far, I'd like to see the yearbooks of all involved.

These kind of false reports will hurt Kavanaugh in the polls. JMO

In today's environment of SM, lies are remembered and the truth is often forgotten.

You are WRONG but I'm tired of stating the facts..FBI does background investigations. Kavanaugh is a federal employee.

That is not how it works.
