SURPRISE HEARING Friday 18th August

Huh?? They just admitted that they killed the little boys! They ARE the REAL killers!!

Well I don't believe they are. They had to plea guilty in order to get out. Doesn't mean they really did it.

Huh?? They just admitted that they killed the little boys! They ARE the REAL killers!!

I don't see it that way.

And the prosecutor just admitted, the plea is so they cannot sue for the millions that would normally be sued for.

Nope, neither one standing there. The male and female. I guess that means no new trial for the real murderer. :(

At least they are getting out, but I don't like the bargain, guess they would take anything to get out though.

The REAL murderers have already served their sentences and they are the WM3

DA basically said in so many words he couldn't win at new trials due to witness statements, deaths, some victim families now on defendant's side, etc. Said defense came to Attorney General with deal. Said he did not give victim's families veto power over deal.

  • #346
That's what I want to know. Will the state start looking for the real killers?

Doesn't sound like it to me. Spokesman just said he doesn't believe anyone else is involved and for him the case is closed.

  • #347
I don't feel like celebrating or saying they are innocent because clearly they are NOT.

For anyone who is happy about the murderers getting out of prison, What about those little boys? How happy are they?

They're dead no matter who you believe killed them. Certainly no one is happy about that.

"Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last"

Martin Luther King Junior

I doubt that MLK would be cheering for 3 men who just admitted to killing 3 little boys. His legacy does not deserve that insult.

  • #349
And, that is a reason to celebrate??

Ditto. Listening and shaking my head. Case is closed?? State believes the 3 are guilty but yet set free and no other individuals involved.

Unreal.

  • #350
But they have all kinds of support behind them. I'm on the fence with all of this and I have not walked in their shoes but I'm still surprised they would not want vindication.

bbm, imo, I'm sure they do

  • #351
Too bad they can't go after the real murderer and his friend now. That stinks to high heaven!!!

  • #352
Well, There goes the free the innocent slogan.

Why is justice leaving a crappy taste in my mouth more and more?

3 murdered little boys got lost in all of this.
And if the WM3 are truely innocent ,well they just killed any chance of justice for those lost little boys.

  • #353
As confessed murderers of 3 little boys. Let's party!!

As we know, innocent people are convicted of crimes all the time and many of them confess. It will always take more than a confession to convince ME that someone is guilty.

  • #354
"State believes these 3 would have been acquitted at new trial."

  • #355
Well I don't believe they are. They had to plea guilty in order to get out. Doesn't mean they really did it.

LOL...of course not! :innocent:

Party on!!! :great:

Doesn't sound like it to me. Spokesman just said he doesn't believe anyone else is involved and for him the case is closed.

Sounds like justice will be up to regular civilians to sleuth this out and find who did it. Maybe if someone gets enough evidence, the cops will take it seriously.

  • #357
Prosecutor in press conference:

As far as I'm concerned today, the case is closed.

If there is someone else out there, we could file new charges. I have no reason to believe there is anyone else involved in the death of these 3 little boys.

I believe that this case is closed and there are no other individuals involved.

This judge was most likely going to grant a new trial....most likely these 3 defendants could have easily been aquitted...because evidence has gotten stale, witnessses have died or changed there mind...

Ditto. Listening and shaking my head. Case is closed?? State believes the 3 are guilty but yet set free and no other individuals involved.

Unreal.

The politics and money involved in this is making me angry. At least they can get out of jail, but I don't like the cost to the WM3 or the other aspects, I will just be quiet now, anger is not pretty.

Definition of Alford Plea
the term Alford plea as: "A plea under which a defendant may choose to plead guilty, not because of an admission to the crime, but because the prosecutor has sufficient evidence to place a charge and to obtain conviction in court. The plea is commonly used in local and state courts in the United States

Unreal.

JMO, cya. They KNOW they are innocent. Pursuing other leads would mean they effed up. And they DID! JMO

they won't swallow their pride and look for the KILLERS IMO

God bless the murdered boys, and the state will not look for their killers. TRAGIC imo
