Thank goodness for phone records! They would be able to track how much contact there was between the two. Good sign that LE is following up on phone records. Interesting theory about the body being placed to frame Rossetto. If that were the case though, I would think Drew would have left Stacy in a spot easy to find, or left a clue as to where she is.

ETA: I love Rossetto's attitude towards Drew!

Wouldn't it be wild if it was Rossetto that was chased by the BBPD?

Bigfoot's post on the Stacey #7 thread:

This was reported the other day regarding his suspension: The unrelated incident was about 2 months ago, as reported on local Channel 5 news in Chicago this past Saturday, was that in his supervisory capacity, he allowed an officer to go on a high speed chase of over 100 miles an hour & to pursue on the state highway at a high rate of speed. It was also stated that he had like a 4 day suspension at the time for this & this current suspension is a result of that.

Omg, that would be wild!

Sounds to me like the police have not only followed the phone trail on this through records, but also may have taken tapes and bugging devices out of Drew's house. They seem to be following leads that Drew would not have given them on this one. If they knew about calls between Rosseto and Stacy, they were not told by Drew. Because remember Drew claims he didn't know who the man was she would have run off with. So he can't suddenly come forward and say it's this man on this audio tape of a phone conversation.

Bigfoot's post on the Stacey #7 thread:

IdahoMom that was EXACTLY the article I was thinking about.

I think he had a buddy on the force leak his (Rosseto's) name ... That way it wasn't him coming forward with that information, but an unnamed LE source.

Need for control drove Peterson, families say

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...v18,1,2715802.story?page=2&cset=true&ctrack=1

(snip)
The couple married in 1992 and had two boys. Throughout the 10-year marriage, Savio said he never felt comfortable about it.

"I was kind of on my guard all the time," Savio said. "[Peterson and the kids] would do crazy stuff with my sister. They had a staircase at my sister's house. They would tie her up and roll her down the stairs. It was the big joke of theirs. I would say, 'What's wrong with you? Why would you let them do that stuff? There's no respect.' She would say, 'It's fine.'

and

Drew was still married to Kathleen when he met Stacy Cales. She was just a teenager—her sister, Cassandra, says she was 16—when she met Drew. Stacy was working at SpringHill Suites hotel. Drew was night commander, and his partner was dating a woman who worked there. Drew started hitting on Stacy.

Cassandra said Drew was still living with Kathleen but was sleeping in the basement. Stacy would sneak in and spend the night, she said.

This is the best article I've seen written so far!
Link provided by SuzieQ above.

Mills and her husband, Eddie, hired Stacy to work at their flooring company in 2001. After three or four months on the job, Mills said Peterson made an unusual request. "He was drinking with Eddie one night and told him, 'You need to fire her, but don't let her know that I told you to fire her,' " Mills said.

Despite Sherrie's protests, Eddie did it. Mills believed it was because Peterson wanted her reliant on him. "To me, it was because he didn't want her having money or independence," she said.

Didn't I read somewhere that Stacy had already requested that Drew move out of the house? That his belongings were stacked in boxes in their garage? If so I think Drew just decided Stacy was the one that had to go, permanently. His belongings were packed to go..not hers.
That would show that the marriage was rocky, which Drew counters with she was seeing someone else...and left with him. But why would she have to leave with someone else, if infact she had already asked him to leave and his bags and boxes were packed up in the garage?
She could've just waited until he left and moved the new boyfriend in, right?
And doesn't this story start to sound on Stacy's part more like Drew's past behavior patterns then Stacy's? Drew's the one that was always the cheater and ready to move a new woman in before the current wife was out of the picture. So Drew made up a story according to how Drew's thought processes work..not how Stacy's would have..which is what raised such a red flag to her sister.

"Let him [try to get me]. I don't give a crap," Rossetto said. "Why would I be afraid of Drew? What is he going to possibly do to me? He's more than welcome to try busting into my house."

How many others besides me kind of hope that Drew gets really stupid and goes after Rossetto? Sounds like he's got a little sumpthin' ready to greet him just in case.
Drew<:croc:>Rossetto

With a last name like Rossetto and living in the Chicago area...well it wouldn't break my heart if someone breaks Drews kneecaps.

LOL Yes, Bobby Cutts has been out-cobbed by Drew. I didn't think that was possible.

A police source, however, said investigators do not count him as a suspect in Peterson's disappearance. Instead, the source said investigators have speculated that Peterson's body may have been dumped near Rossetto's home in an effort to frame him as the killer.
A police source said Rossetto and Peterson, 23, were romantically involved, but Rossetto insisted they were not. He said he only knew her because his brother and a friend had dated Peterson years ago, before she married former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson. (More at Link)

http://www.suntimes.com/news/peterson/655554,CST-NWS-boling18.article

The article doesn't say with certainty whether the police source is from the BBPD or the ISP. Bollingbrook isn't doing the investigation - but they could be leaking things. His friends on the force could be these "sources" -- which would mean that it's 100% BS.

I remember that he was moving out as well, everytime the media showed his garage door open, I was busy looking for the boxes that were supposedly packed and stacked in the garage.

golfmom, your comment made me wonder if LE has checked local (or even distant) storage rentals.

In my opinion there is no reason to think Stacey was having an affair or cheating. She may have called up and old boyfriend or two....LOL
The second wife of this man has said that he "bugged" their home, and their telephone.
Stacey, being young and beautiful, makes me think that this aging 53 yo man with bags under his eyes would NEVER let her that far out of sight.

And women when miserable will often turn back to what was comfortable or already known, I know this from myself and others.
She was probably so miserable that she called just to get that old feeling he may have used to give her, maybe he made her feel safe and/or good about herself.

GOD, please let them find her body or something. This creep shouldn't get away with murder. It is bad enough that a person's body is never found and returned to the family but to have the guilty SOB that did it, out riding his bike and free makes me want to vomit.

I hate these types of people and find them nothing short of evil.

That is all I have to add, just my rant.

I love that he just keeps on talking. Just keeps digging that hole deeper and deeper. He must not have an attorney yet. Being LE you would think he would know to keep his lying trap shut. One thing about it when he is on trial for double murder there will be lots of video evidence.

Drew Peterson is speaking about the autopsy on his third wife as families of Kathleen Savio and his fourth, missing wife held a vigil outside his home.

The video is on the right side of the below linked page:

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=local&id=5768354

Interesting ending to this video. DP says this has been hardest on his older children who attend school and have to tolerate the teasing of other students who obviously watch the news and "know what's going on."

I wish they'd tell the rest of us!

Those parents need to have a "come to Jesus" talk with their kids if this is really going on. In my house, there would be some serious guilt and threats of a long grounding if it continued. NO EXCUSE for that kind of behavior towards innocent kids. :furious:
