There are all kinds of things that can be used as a bite light. The finger flashlights are especially small and would be easy to use in your mouth. But the small plastic on/off lights also work. Ask me how I know.....

You're a kids' party consultant or a professional criminal therapist?

Some of the lights have rubber straps so they could have been pinned or sewn into LM's face mask?

I don't see why not, though that would not as likely be done if someone wanted to pull the whole thing into their mouth. I've sewn things like these into costumes, so it can be done. MOO.

But do we know LM actually had the light in his mouth? Or could it have been sewn into the mouth part of the mask on the inside?

This actually would have been less risky. No DNA laden light that could fall out at the scene. No light getting swallowed and causing choking.

I'd have to look closer at the footage to make a personal decision on if in mouth only or possible sewn to the mask. Certainly less drooly if sewn in, if someone thought that far and had even basic sewing skill. IMO.

Perhaps it doesn't matter either way.
-But would indicate a higher level of planning and care.
-Yes lower risk. Saliva and cheek are DNA rich.

-Or maybe the light was only to distract someone looking at the perp. If you look at him, you will only notice the light in his mouth area.
-Or to frighten someone. Would look creepy and frightening?

Good point, do younger people today have basic sewing skills?
-Older women can sew a button on, or a light into a mask.
