Suspicious behavior of Haleigh Cummings father

The sleeping arrangements have me baffled. :waitasec: Can someone tie that in for me in regards to this thread? Thanks so much!

The thread is about suspicious behaviors of Ron and the sleeping arrangements are suspicious, why would a loving young couple share their bedroom, much less their beds with two small children? Did Ron want all of them sleeping in one room because he suspected something would happen? did someone threaten him, the sleeping arrangement along with the statement."you let her get stole, or something along those lines, is wht convinces me that he knows so IMO it is very suspicious behavior.

What I think is suspicious is they didn't have time for Haleigh to open all her Christmas presents, not enough time to set up the bedrooms for the kids but they had time to hang a wall of family photos.

What is suspicious is RC saying they were all sleeping in the same bed and then changing that statement at a later date. He specifically said they were all in the same bed!

Does anyone know if the type of bed shown in Haleigh's room would have had a mattress and box spring or just a mattress?

I also think that perhaps RC moved that mattress into the master bedroom after he arrived home. I don't know why I think that, except for the everchanging statements about where everyone slept. At one point, the mattress was supposed to have been at the foot of the bed.

This is probably a non-issue, other than for Ron's possible lies, because frankly, it might be that no one went to sleep in that house that night.

That is a toddler bed. All they use is a crib mattress--no springs. I have bought them for my grandkids.

BBM..IMHO...The possibility no one went to sleep in that house that night is definitely NOT a non issue.. It leads me to believe something may have happened before bedtime, perhaps in the afternoon after Haleigh got off that school bus...
Yes, I know we have GGMS stating she saw Haleigh alive and well eating dinner on the screened in porch sometime between 7:00 and 8:00 pm, but personally I believe, as grandma, herself, would say, that's a crock.. IMHO.. Grandma claiming she saw Haleigh was ONLY an attempt to prove Ron C could not have been involved because they knew he had arrived at work by that time...JMO

Was it Christmas presents or birthday presents that hadn't been opened? Maybe she said this about Christmas present too, but here is the one about birthday presents.

http://www.wesh.com/news/20422695/detail.html

Balloons Released With Fliers Inside
On her birthday, Haleigh's family didn't miss the chance to get her face back out in the public. They sponsored a nationwide balloon release, with fliers containing her information.

"When they take it out of the balloon, or when it falls, they'll look at it, and possibly, hopefully, if they've seen Haleigh, they'll recognize her and call law enforcement," great-grandmother Annette Sykes said.

Haleigh's family keeps reminders of her everywhere. Shrines contain pictures, pieces of her little-girl makeup and presents she has never opened.

I also think whatever happened, happened before Ronald went to work. And the time after his regular shift ended and when he started his overtime could be an excellent time to sneak away from the job site. You wouldn't be expected to be there, so who would miss you? Once you are spotted, you just claim you have been there since 4pm and just now taking your meal break, or a bathroom break, or a smoke break. It just seems like an easier time to be lost for an hour or so.
Don't get me started on grandma and eating on the porch! It was in the high 50's during that time of night, and I can't see 4 and 5 year olds doing that. My daughter lives in WPB and she thinks it's cold when it's in the 60's during daylight hours.
Grandma was either over there earlier in the day and saw them having a snack on the porch, or like you stated, she was giving Ronald his alibi.

Hi, I'm new - pls excuse, not used to the forum yet, not even sure how the threads work, sort of looks like there are several subjects going at one time & everyone just posts on which thread they are interested in?

Looking at the above post, was wondering if GGranny Sikes & TN have had lie detector tests as to when they last saw Haleigh etc, or even been interviewed by LE, can't remember hearing as to that before, though I've followed the case from the first day.

I'm sure they have been interviewed by LE, but I don't know about LDTs.

Hi and Welcome Marissa

No Lie Detector Tests for Sikes or Neves, that I have heard of. And I didn't see them voluntering to take one when Misty took her last one either....

He sure did say they were all sleeping in the same bed. But how did he know that? He was at "Werk"!

Also, I don't remember where I read it, but it was said that they had only lived in the MH for about 3 weeks. So they were not there that long and could be why the beds were on the floor in the master bedroom. IMO, they used the other rooms as storage, and never really unpacked. But that is JMO. I sure wish we could see the pic's of the MH when LE arrived. Wonder what they took?

Sheriff Jeff Hardy said that investigators have collected evidence from Cummings' mobile home but would not describe the evidence.

"I can't discuss what evidence was taken into custody," Hardy said. "I don't want to reveal what was found or not found."

The evidence has since been sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Regional Crime Lab for analysis. http://blogs.discovery.com/criminal...police-say-haleigh-cummings-was-abducted.html

Ron also Told TM if I'm not mistaken that "The Beds Were Not Slept In".

February 17, 2009
Ronald Cummings, reportedly told an ID source that he has a new theory on what might have happened to Haleigh.

Cummings allegedly said that it is possible that Haleigh's abduction was in retaliation for something he did in the past, but he did not clarify what that "something" could be. Cummings also allegedly said that he believes someone gained entry to his home using a "lock bumping" technique. It remains unclear if law enforcement is following up on that theory. http://blogs.discovery.com/criminal...w-leads-in-abduction-of-haleigh-cummings.html

When police arrived at 202 Green Lane in the River Villa mobile home community in the Hermit's Cove area of Satsuma, they were greeted by a frantic Ronald Cummings. When deputies were finally able to calm him down, he explained that he had last seen his daughter at about 10:00 p.m. Monday night before he left for work. http://blogs.discovery.com/criminal_report/2009/02/haleigh-cummings.html

:lepsmilie::lepsmilie::lepsmilie:MAGJGNLAW,
That last 10pm time RC saw his daughter he stated jumped out at me. So the flury of phone calls to Misty and others were maybe RC trying to find Misty to babysit so her could go to work? Then Misty may have left the kids alone door open, as she never was given a key, and returned and found her gone, started screaming. The cover up began? I don't know, but praying we all find out the truth very soon. It's not a cold case IMO

:banghead: Allot of things about all the players in this case have had me going back looking for links to back up what I thought I heard way back when that doesn't make any sense.
This little tid bit about the time Ron went to work, has always been a big question for all..except LE that is.

In the back of my mind I always thought he may of worked an 11-7 shift since he said he kissed Haleigh good night before bed in one interview (something to that effect),...don't have that link, still working on it. And the 10PM time that was mentioned on ID's site by DL. He is a very good reporter, I found it odd that he took no interest in the Haleigh Case. After the find of the chair, shovel, rope and other he stopped reporting. I still wait for his update on that find and nothing.

Then out of the blue, Months later Ron's attorney tried to give his :twocents: about what time Ron went to work and even put out there that Ron would go in 30-45 min early. I know the media did a lot of mis-reporting in the beginning, but if you go back to day one and listen to the interviews that Misty and Ron gave, they are the ones that changed up their stories so much and that is the main reason for most of the mis-reporting IMO.

I also recall that Ron said in one interview that he was at "WerK' working 8hrs a day to make an honest living...don't have that link either...still working on it. Anyone feel free to share if you have the links handy..TIA

Oh, then I read somewhere that Ron worked 12 hr shift. So, maybe that is when TS came out with Ron's work hrs.

I always say, listen to what was "First" said and that is where the main answer lies.

The "worked 8 hours" link is from Reverand Wright of Dunn's Creek Baptist Church on the JVM Show:

”I spent an hour and a half with him last night. He told me last night -- we were out in the middle of the cold in North Florida. Believe it or not, it does get cold in North Florida. We were out in the middle of North Florida, and he told me this. He said, "Pastor," he said, "I kissed my daughter, went to work, trying to make an honest living, trying to make an honest wage. I came home eight hours later, and she was gone."

Call me crazy, but I'll take the word of a respected Minister over any player in this case. A man of God said Ronald Cummings worked 8 hours, RC himself said he dropped her off from the bus stop and left for work which would have been around 3:45.

4pm to 12 midnight is 8 hours.

Until I hear something more from the media than unnamed "sources", this is good enough for me.

(respectfully snipped)

Yeah, it's funny how he's able to answer so many questions, then will turn around and say, "I don't know, I wuz et WERK!"

I too am curious to know how the home looked when LE arrived. Not so I could oooh and ahhh at any mess, but just to have a glimpse of how Haleigh and Junior really lived. What was their reality?

The place looked so sterile and empty in the walk-through video. imo

I know I'm on here three hours after you have posted but I want to welcome you to WS. Yes, it probably does look like we are discussing several topics at one time, actually we are. We jump back and forth alot, whenever the topic changes. Our thoughts run wild sometimes. Feel free to jump right in and give your view. We are always ready to entertain a fresh view.

Really going out on a limb here Papa. Ron could have been telling the truth about his hours at work. Haleigh could have died. Ron could have given her that "last kiss" goodbye and left for work as instructed. Came home eight hours later and Haleigh was gone (as in taken care of). He definitely could have been telling the truth here in this instance.

Has Ron ever once been involved in the ground searches for Haleigh?
Accually walking the woods and banks of the water?
He wasn't even yelling in the neighborhood that night!

If she were "missing" or "lost" in the typical sense, I would have been there at every single event.
Every time I look at him I feel he already knows who took her, and why they took her. So he has no interest in being with LE to search.

You might want to re-read the quote, Papa. Brother Terry said Ron told him that. I believe Ron probably did tell him that - I just don't know if Ron was telling the truth to the preacher man.
