Yesterday my grandparents, who are in nursing homes, received checks for 27.68 each from the federal trade commission. I did some digging online and only could find others trying to figure out why they got the checks, reason for the amount, and/or if they are legit. One man who is the examiner for Denver News, tried figuring it out just like others and still feels something is very off with the whole thing. His link is here...

Some things in the letter are strange to me and I just don't understand why they wouldn't announce they are sending out checks. I am happy that a lot of people do question the checks instead of running to cash or deposit them.
