Sex toy firms will have to make products safer and less likely to be stuck in people's rectums under Swedish proposals

Swedish sex toy firms may have to meet new safety standards after a growing number of people needed to have the products removed from their rectums.

The Swedish Standards Industry (SIS) has proposed introducing new guidelines and quality checks across the sex toy sector to tackle the issue.

The announcement comes after a study in July showed that in one Stockholm hospital alone, 82 people went to A&E with toys lodged in their backsides over a seven-year period.

Thank god, it’s about time! JK but in all seriousness I would think this type of safety measure would be automatic but I guess it wasn’t. That is quite a scary thought.
