Tall biker possibly from KY/TN who attended a motorcycle rally out west

Possibly 576UMMA? - This unknown man found in MA in 2000 is 5'11 to 6'5" and could be a biker.

The attached screenshots have pieces of the story that @Piknik remembers, but neither of these stories completely matches.

1. Kentucky biker's body found in upstate New York in 2017 (facts don't fit except "KY" and motorcycle rider/biker)
2. German man went missing during Sturgis, SD, biker rally in 1998. Headlines mention that friends were looking for him and story details mention that he'd been seen several times by the local airport.

From what I recall in the story, the person had left form somewhere east, like Kentucky or Tennessee, and had gone to a rally somewhere west of the Mississippi. Details I recall were that he still lived at home with kin. I feel bad that I can't remember much more than that, but do recall he was tall, which had me a NAMUS searching UIDs based on height.
