I just looked to see if he turned gay again.

He hasn't went from gay to straight anymore than I am going to become a lesbian in the morning.

What??? I guess I didn't realize it was a choice.... :waitasec:

I can absolutely guarantee this man will have sex again with another man. Done deal. He won't be able to hold off for long because he is GAY. Although being Gay doesn't mean just sex. Not at all. But in Ted's case we can see it coming like a freight train.

Unfreakingbelievable.

I don't want to start a debate on the issue but my feeling is that it is not a choice. It just happens. I never chose liking boys, i just did, it occurred naturally. I am not a smart woman, but I can only assume that same theory holds for homosexuals, it just occured naturally. To claim otherwise just further tells gays, especially the younger generation who are struggling with coming out and their sexuality, that they are sick, wrong, and perverse and do not belong in society. Shame on these people.

Oh Lordy, are we going to see homosexual rehab facilities pop up all over the place now. I don't believe for a minute that intense counseling "cures" homosexuality. You either are or you're not.

Like someone said - he's just going back in the closet.

...anyone see that HBO doc "The Trials of Ted Haggard"? So pathetic to see how his double life is now a part of his kids' daily lives, as he schleps them along to help sell insurance (that's what he was doing then, anyway). The film also showed just how huge (= $$$) his former church and office were. I think his proclaiming to the hilltops, i.e., the press, smacks of utter desperation. He really, really (imo) wants to big the "big dog" again; not gonna happen.

I believe that he is probably bisexual, whether he is personally atuned to it or not. That is why this magical cure has "worked" for him. I mean, I believe in bisexuality, and I don't think it's a cop-out, or a stop on your way to the magical land of Gaydom....hence the saying "bi now, gay later"...as in "buy now, pay later" LOL....sorry, anyway. I think that bisexuality is just as probable as being heterosexual of homosexual.

Despite my opinion on that, I still do not think that he is cured from acting on his "unholy" temptations. If I were his wife, and the person that I had loved, spent my life with, and birthed his children, cheated on me in such a frivolous, uncaring manner, you better believe that I would have left him. He showed absolutely no regard for her personal safety, or love for her, by doing crystal meth, which heightens the likelihood of having unprotected sex, and sleeping with another person when you are married. My butt would have been out the door with the kids, and I would have immediately scheduled a myriad of std tests with my doctor. I hope that she has done this. I'm sure that if he lied to her in the first place about sleeping with another man AND doing crystal meth, he will likely do it again. He will just be more likely NOT to get caught so publicly.

Ted Haggard talks scandal, 'Celebrity Wife Swap'

It’s been a while since preacher Ted Haggard made headlines.

You may recall that back in 2006, a male escort claimed he had sex with Haggard and that Haggard bought drugs from him. Haggard denied having sex with the man and said he only bought the drugs, but didn’t actually use them.

Either way, it did some serious damage to the then minister's image…for a while that is. "I went through a scandal five years ago, and most marital problems aren’t nearly as serious as that one was and we survived it,” Haggard said....

I'm caught between being royally disgusted and a little interested. I've never watched wifeswap and what I have seen is ridiculous. I guess I'll just look for updates from other people or news about this.

watching it now, and I must say I think Gary Busey has a lot more insight into religion than Teg Haggard or his snooty holier than thou wife. I guess I don't like folks who are so self-righteous that they look at me like I'm a 🤬🤬🤬 because I don't participate in organized religion.

Yes, I think Gary is a bit of a whack-a-doodle, but he's spot on when he says religion and beliefs are right here (and points to his heart). I don't need to buy my way into heaven!

I'm not finished watching, so maybe my perceptions of the haggard's will change, but I don't think so.

I just loved Gary's fiance, Gayle when she was trying to read from the bible to the room fool of snooty women and said decible's instead of deciple's. She is really very down to earth and quite witty.

Oh, and mama haggard sayng she had to watch GB carefully because he "obviously" doesn't know how to put his child in the high chair. I wanted to smack her upside the head...holier than though...oh never mind.

I enjoyed the show and thought all of them handled their religious differences very well. I saw a lot of respect on both sides. :) The previews for next week led me to believe a lot of sparks might be a'flyin' next week.

I watched this and I thought Ted Haggard's one son still has a lot of anger about the scandal in Ted's life and didn't want this to be done at all. Also, I wanted to see someone say; "C'mon Ted just admit it. You're gay."

Big time! Ugh, this type of marriage disturbs me to no end-- I missed the show, but I'll watch it, I'm sure I can find it somewhere. But, I'll have to wait for an appropriate moment in MY life to view it because some of those folks (and not associated with Gary B.) will make me sick and furious at the same time.

Ted Haggard got issues of self-hatred, like Fred Phelps.
