A 19-year-old teen girl, Mutlu Kaya, has been shot in the head after appearing on the Turkish version of America and Britain's 'Got Talent' shows. She is in critical condition.
Kaya, who is from the very conservative, Kurdish-majority region of Diyarbakir, had received death threats after her appearance on the show in Istanbul.
Her father, Mehmet Kaya, says she was shot in her family home while rehearsing Monday, through a window in a walled garden. He wants nothing else but for his child 'to be healthy again'.
